I appreciate your curiosity in a world of judgment. I extend almost everything when I climb in order to keep the rope drag from pulling and walking the cams, and to prevent the rope from running through the crack and getting stuck, and putting extra wear/tear on the rope itself. If you notice in most of the videos where people fall and gear zippers, they don't extend their pieces. Extending dramatically reduces the chance that gear walks.
Rad route!
heck yeah! splitters
Is there a reason you’re extending every piece?
