Thank you for watching!
Mwah!!
Finally the stress is over:) passed my both exam with 100% on skills and 87 on my knowledge🎉🎉🎉
Passing the CNA is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself help like mr Scott
I've been seeing positive remarks about this same man on facebook too, please how good is he?
Really, you'll know him? I even thought i was the only one he has helped walk through the fears and falls of CNA

I took a very short CNA course at a community college when I was in highs school and it’s really all about your ability to interact with the patient and how well you remember the basics such as introducing yourself , checking their bracelet or making sure that’s them lol
Yes I definitely agree. Now that I’m done with my course I realized that the whole basis of being a CNA is about patient care and interaction. If you’re good at communicating and being patient and empathetic you can do it!
It depends what unit you’re working. The CNAS/PCTs in the trauma/telemetry unit do a lot more than just interacting with the patient and doing the basics
It depends , it really is a lot more
I’m getting ready to start CNA school and I am 31! After watching your videos I can tell you’re going to be an amazing nurse. God bless
So am I! Thanks for sharing this because now I don't feel so out of place. I hope to become an ultrasound tech or get into radiology.
@@alexandriathegoddessmceach9104 I’m 27 and really don’t know what to do only thing my mind goes too is something in the health field lol. Working a reg job and do plan on trying to fit a cna class in my schedule which is gonna be hard. I really hope I am making right decision because picked something to get out of my driving job fast lol and if I like it I could go for my RN or lvn. Also scared because people told me cna don’t make much and it would hurt going from 20 a hour to something less. Also if anyone took the cna program in Hcc what are the class programs you need to take for cna?
I thought I was old to be a cna I will be starting class soon. I will turn 30 next month. Thanks for the encouragement girls ❤ loved interacting with patients by the way!!!
Proud of you for figuring out your path at a young age💕 I’m 28 and I just realized through all the breaks I took in college that this was the way to go sometimes it’s better to start at the bottom and work your way up to where you want to be. Excited for you and send blessings on your path to being a nurse you got this 💪🏻
Thank you so so much!! I completely agree with starting from the bottom! I’m so happy that you came to that realization because it’s never too late! That gives me so much hope!! I wish you many blessings on your path as well!! 🥰✨
A cna is not a nurse ur a nurse assistant

I really loved the video
Update: I finished my cna classes and I passed my exams yesterday 🤪
Was the exam easy?
@@NIRAHYAA Are you about to take yours ?
Congratulations ❤️
How long is the program? I plan on taking it and what all courses you had to take.
congrats
girl yes you got this ❤️ !! i’m currently in a 4 year college now and after december i will not be returning because i know what field i wanna go for and that’s health care . i wanna take phlebotomy and CNA classes but i’m a HORRIBLE test taker so i’ve really been doubting myself and scared to take the classes but imma go for it 🥰
This moment in your pink bonnet when you spoke about the transition from high school to college and also how you know your limits. That is me. I am probably older than you but the best thing is that you already know now vs later in life. Good Luck and keep pushing.
Girl i went through the same exact thing. I just got into a medical assistant school and i cant wait to start, but yea I struggled in college to keep my motivation up during the pandemic because im more of a hands on learner, this sadly lead me to get bad grades and be academically dismissed. So i took the semester off and just focused on work while taking a mental break from all that stress of not doing good. However last week i had started applying to a couple of schools with medical assistant programs and luckily i got into one. My classes start in January and im nervous but excited because its like im moving ahead with my career and am not feeling stuck anymore.
So many people pursue nursing when they do not possess the qualities that I believe nurses should also have besides medical knowledge: compassion and patience. A lot of them pursue this career just for the money and job prospect e.g being able to work at any clinic and hospital. So I'm hoping you're one of the few who are truly passionate about the job. Usually, when you're passionate and excited about something you perform your best and you excel.
With all of that said, I'm wishing you the best on your journey 😊. Props to all students who are adjusting to the new way of learning due to circumstances.
I completely agree with this sentiment. I have personally experienced nurses from my own experiences being hospitalized who’ve made me feel absolutely horrible about myself just by the way they’ve interacted with me and treated me. One of my reasoning for going into nursing is because I want to be that one nurse who really sees and hears the patient and truly advocates for them aside from supporting them medically. Realistically though, nurses do not make as much money as they should for the work they do so money is not a driving factor at all. If you watched the video I mentioned my genuine interest in taking care of people and I would’ve hoped that my excitement radiated throughout the video. Also I hope you’re not insinuating that because I failed one insignificant pre requisite course that I don’t have the motivation or capabilities to be on this journey. That would be extremely contradicting being that you highlighted that a vital part of being a great nurse is about the heart and less about medical knowledge. The best nurses aren’t always the nurses who busted through college in one go and had a perfect GPA along the way. Sometimes the best nurses are those who pushed forward through all the failures and kept trying because their passion would not allow them to give up. So with that being said, I hope you stick with me on my journey and continue to watch my videos. Maybe then your subtle doubt in me will fade away. Thank you for the open discussion though. I feel like this needed to be said! ♥️
@@makailaleilani Oh no, I apologize for my words coming across as if I thought you were incapable of the journey. When you said you know you can do amazingly well if you applied yourself, I truly believed that. I still believe you are a hardworking young lady and I am genuinely excited to see your journey. I subscribed and plan on continuing to subscribe to your channel because of your wholesome personality. I think even as you get deeper into the field and as stressful as it may get - your sweet, kind personality will shine through regardless. I think the nursing field needs more of that. I understand that patients can be difficult and I think for some it gets to them along with what could be going on at home. It's frightening to know that there are some who take it out on patients who really don't deserve to be treated poorly. I'm relieved to know that you wouldn't be one of them as you have declared you have a goal of ensuring the patient is properly cared for emotionally and physically.
@@Jazzerbean thank you so much for clarifying! I realize now I took your comment the wrong way and I too apologize!! Again I agree with everything you’re saying! I hope you can forgive my defensiveness!!
@@makailaleilani Oh, don't worry about it. We're cool ☺️ I'm happy you've come back to let us know what has been going on. I'm glad you and your family are doing well, by the way.

@@makailaleilani most welcome❤
I never really make comments like this but when you started talking about your high school to first semester of college I was like we’re literally living the same life. I 100% was the kid who never applied myself fully and missed days and skipped school and it just became a terrible habit, school felt like it wasn’t for me and it was never really a priority for me I only went to school whenever I had volleyball practice and the end of the day, that was the only thing keeping me in class from 8-3:30 literally. I failed math in the 12th grade so I never graduated on “time” did summer school got my credit and went to college the same year in September. I only did about a month and a half then dropped out, the classes weren’t hard at all. I felt like I rushed and didn’t set my self up properly, I thought because I finished high school I could go too college right away even though school was so rough me and I couldn’t really explain to anyone why I wasn’t applying myself the way I know I could and everyone just thought I was lazy and didn’t want to do anything in life my but I was struggling with myself and I couldn’t communicate that with anyone. I do want to go too school and get a degree but for ME only. So I’m thinking about taking classes in stead to slowly break my bad habits as well. I’m still trying to figure out the path for ME and I’ve learned that it’s okay to take your time and it’s best to keep too yourself and not tell everyone everything you do because then everyone has an opinion and you can sort of get lost with what everyone is saying, feel like what your doing isn’t right. Sorry for the long paragraph 😂 but I totally felt everything you where say to the T.
Please don’t apologize for the long paragraph because I enjoyed and related to every bit of it. Trust me I know exactly what you’re feeling. I was always the girl in school that none of the staff or students really had a close relationship with because I was never there. It also didn’t help the fact that I went to 3 different high schools because I just couldn’t get it together. It was a continuous cycle of doing great in the beginning, then starting to slack, then slacking so bad that I feel like I can’t catch up, then giving up, then needing to transfer because I was so lost in school and embarrassed that I couldn’t even stand to go back. My only motivation kind of like yours was dance. I knew that if I didn’t go to school I wouldn’t be able to go to dance so that was what was getting me to go. When I was in high school I swore up and down I wouldn’t go to college because of the way I hated school and the way my grades were looking. I felt like it was impossible. But weirdly something clicked in me and I became so depressed and worried about my future that I got my shit together at the very last minute to save myself and I was able to graduate on time and get into college. But like I said bad habits are hard to break so even though I did a lot better in college I still slipped up. But the great thing about college though is that everyone is literally on a different path. Some people are going to be in college for 2 years, some 4, some are going to take their sweet time and finish after 10 years of back and forth and honestly that is okay. College is not a rush because you can pick it back up at anytime. And that’s what helped me. When I stopped thinking about the fact that it might take me longer than my peers to get through college I started to find comfort in myself. Because with my way, I’m going to allow myself to take breaks in between if I need to, do things that I like to do, and when I’m ready to pick it up I will. I said, “if I’m going to be working for the rest of my life anyways, why am I in a rush to finish school and start working?” You do not have to explain a damn thing to anyone. You’re doing this for you. No one is going to truly benefit from your success but you so F everyone else. You do this on YOUR time. This is YOUR journey and you’re obligated to decide how you’re gonna move on this journey. I am so proud of you! You can do this! You have it in you! Just give yourself a chance to really think about your game plan and go for it. And remember to always forgive yourself for messing up because it’s human nature! I wish you the absolute best in all of your endeavors!! ♥️
This definitely helped my confidence with deciding to go this route and start at the beginning. I enrolled in college to become an RN without actual any incite on how things actually work and go down in the nursing field.
Yess finally 😭💗 we miss youu!!
Awww I miss you moree!!! ❤️

I like your honesty. I’m also planning on being a CNA as well, therefore I’m reading the prep book!😊
Hey Mami! The way you worded shit, man I swear that was like my story with high school and how I feel about nursing! I’m currently a CNA tryna be a lvn then bridge into RN. WE GOT THIS BABYGIRL!

I love your CNA instructors accent. My instructor had the same accent. She was a great teacher. I passed the first time around and I’ve been a CNA since 2018 :)
I relate to all of this was in college for nursing in 2017 life happened lost my motivation etc now I'm currently starting my CNA training next month then I plan on getting my ekg certification and phlebotomy certification and for me that's the best route college just isn't for me and I wanna get straight to the point and it's less time
I’m so happy that so many people can relate because it’s easy to think you’re a failure when you feel like you’re going through things alone! I completely feel you with just wanting to get straight to it because I feel like college makes becoming a Nurse so overly complicated it’s frustrating! I support you 100% on your journey and I hope the best for you!! You deserve it! ❤️
@@makailaleilani thank you so much I appreciate it 💗and good luck to you as well as you continue your journey!!
I love and appreciate this so much ! I am a high school student currently looking to pursue a career in nursing, and girl I was really starting to loose motivation, but you've show me that I can still keep going. Cant wait for more videos of this series ❤
Girl... im like 30 seconds into the video and i have to say as someone who is going to school, for esthetics AND nursing... you have AMAZING skin!
Awww omg thank you!! What a top tier compliment especially coming from you!! I wish you the best on your journey!! I’m absolutely intrigued with that side of nursing! You’re going to be amazing! ❤️
This is scary because Im going through the same thing and came across this video. Im taking the same steps as you becoming a CNA first and then community college. I feel like nursing programs are so strict because one mistake and they deny you or kick you out.
wow this is a very informative, educational, and interesting vid!! i’m taking cna classes in the fall and i’m so nervous. you make it look so easy haha. thanks for going into detail!!
Thank you for sharing I hope you are going to go further in your education don’t get stuck like I did I’ve been a CNA over 25 years so now I’m trying to move into another career because I don’t want to be a nurse anymore good luck in your journey stay strong

Love this vlog!!! Where did you find the book online? I'm starting my CNA classes in less that 2 weeks and It's easier for me to have my book at hand instead of having to get the whole book, you know what I mean?
“Make sure you edit all this out it’s embarrassing “
Keeps it in * 😂
LMFAOOO!! I had to she’s so funny 😭
When I saw her in class at 3:20 with a mask I was like “damn, truly hidden beauty”
All my life I always just knew I wanted to have some career in medical field. At first I just told people I want to be a pediatrician, but when I look at it I don’t really like school like that so I don’t think I could do all those years of stressing out😭So now I’m kind of looking into becoming a registered nurse instead because I know I could do 4 years of college instead of looking at like 8-12. Maybe when I’m older I would like to continue to become a nurse practitioner. I’m a rising junior, but online school for my sophomore year was terrible like my gpa dropped and my grades are so bad. I’m trying to go to summer school to raise my gpa with all that I can, but I understand online is not for me like I’m usually a A/B student. This video also inspired me because I know the nursing field can be a bit challenging, but I know in my heart I can do it.
How much did it cost for your Community college?
Hey, I wanted to become a pediatrician as well and I was also like I definitely do not want to be in school for all those years lol. Nursing is a good field but I would also recommend you look into a physician assistant (that’s what I’m doing now) either way good luck with everything🤍🤍
Correction ** that’s what I’m studying to be lol

I also want to become a nurse, I still haven't figured out which field I want to work at. I have looked into becoming a traveling nurse, I hope if I do become a traveling nurse I will be able to travel around the country to help women get their necessities. Since I live in a family that does not make enough money to pay my debts, my plan is to go to Community college and then transfer to a 4 year college (I will be applying to scholarships, as well as Fasfa). I hope by doing this I will be able to succeed a lot. I also want to get my bachelors degree as well as my masters, for me I have always loved school, I really dedicate myself to my work because my Ma wasn't able to have this opportunity that I currently have. I also have an older sister who is currently Majoring to become a nurse, and you remind me a lot of her. Overall she did good in school, but just like you she didn't make the most wises decision when she was at school. It is taking her a longer time than she had planned, but I always tell her that in the end if that is the journey you have to take, take it. Because in the end I know she will be able to accomplish what she wants to accomplish, the nursing industry is do diverse that there really isn't a rule nor a step to take in becoming the most "successful" nurse out there. Some might take longer than other, but we are all going to end the way we want it to end.
Also, I just subscribed!! really enjoy you're content
Hello my future Nurse!! You’re going to be an amazing Travel Nurse!! You seem very determined and motivated so you’re going to do great!! I love that you want to get the highest nursing degree! Yes keep continuing your education!! You also seem to be a great sibling!! Your sister can definitely benefit from your encouragement because school isn’t easy for everyone and sometimes it takes a push from someone you love to get you along! Like you said it doesn’t matter how long it takes because at the end of the day everyone gets the same degree and Nurses are in high demand! There will be a job waiting for her when she’s done! And I absolutely love your sentiment about how there really is no right or wrong way to go about becoming a Nurse because there truly are so many different paths you can take to get there! You’re an amazing person and I love this comment! You’re going to do amazing things in this world and truly make a difference. I wish you the best of luck on your journey as well as your sister’s!!
