It definitely requires more thought to keep track of things like the cats and 4 players, but I usually just guide the game along as I'm usually teaching it anyway. Definitely best at 2-3 but I'll pull it for 4 now and again. The advantage this expansion has though is that it's so dirt cheap and easy to include if necessary. Even if you don't use it much, you haven't lost out on much. Many expansions cost an arm and a leg and you might not use them as often. Recently I got the Isle of Cat expansions but one module I don't like and each module costs as much as a small game.
I like this game but the flow is just unintuitive. We always get tripped up with player order and introducing this expansion made it even more difficult to maintain a smooth flow. Really feels like we are spending a third of our time to just check if we did things correctly.
Scratch? Jitters? Ugh, really lame cat names and to also give them weaker abilities or points? Aesthetically a huge miss for fun thematic actions and script.
Glad to hear your opinion Zee, thanks for the review !
