Two reasons why I prefer your reviews, even if you like a game, youre still honest about what you dont like about it and second, I really enjoy how you break down your review at the end. Its a lot easier to see if I will like a game by being able to see the exact +/- reasons why you did or didnt like something. Keep up the good work Zee.
How is what this guy not liking relevant to you? Your opinions are entirely different. The goal of a review is to explain what a game is. WHO its for. And good it is for THEM. The reviewers opinion is fucking useless to anyone watching it. Thats not the point of a review. Thats what IGN got wrong all those years ago when the fucked the entire game review media as a whole.
Ever since Zee's review of Atlantis Rising, I sought out a copy of that game, managing to get it to the table back in February and falling in love with it almost immediately. Just a week later, I had the opportunity to attend Dice Tower West before the pandemic hit and discovered that Elf Creek, the publisher, had a booth where they were demoing Honey Buzz. I had Kickstarted the game on a whim last year but hadn't really thought about it since. So I signed up for a time slot and sat down for the teach. All I can say was that the demo was over far too soon. The combination of worker placement and tile-laying in which you're basically creating matrices of actions to take is just addictive. Love this design and can't wait to get my copy to the table when it gets here next month.

I backed this game after demoing it at PAX South and have been eagerly waiting for it to arrive. It’s suffered a few delays because of the pandemic but it’s finally on its way to distributors and should hopefully have it within a month. My circle of friends can’t wait to play it!

Well, hive mind was the first game I played with beeples. From Calliope games, maybe 4 yrs old? That's still one of the best party games Then within the last year or two there's this game, Honey Buzz, and a game called Beekeeper, and Queenz (a bee tile game) and next move has BEEZ? I think, which looks to fit in with their azul series. Grandpa Beck's games has the Bears and the Bees. And then there's Bees: the secret kingdom. And Marcus Ross finally got his game Beeeessssss! Picked up by a bigger publisher a few years ago

I just received this as a gift from a competition. To be honest it is not the kind of game that I would buy, because I like darker themes. But I have to say that the game is absolutely stunning and of a top production. I will be playing this tomorrow so I would form an opinion. It is so beautiful, I really can't wait.

Yep beeples first shows up for me in Hive Mind about 4 yrs ago, from Calliope games.. still one of the best party games

I'm surprised that Zee didn't use Yellow in his explanation. I see Yellow is an avaliable player color since there is a bee yellow chip in the nectar tiles section.
Yellow is my favorite color as well. As the designer, I insisted it bee included.
I remember Zee said in an old top 10 about things games should do or something like that, Zee said it bothers him when there is no Yellow player color in a game. And I feel the same about Red. I'm always Red player.
Was he joking when he said "Enough with the bee themes lately"? I honestly don't know. Are there a lot of bee-themed games that I haven't noticed?
