- The group reported the updated toll as fighting continues along the Israel-Lebanon border, bringing the total number of Hezbollah members killed in the current escalation to 19.
Israel’s military says it hit several Hezbollah positions today in response to missile fire from Lebanon.
There are concerns that the Iran-backed Hezbollah, which has a weapons arsenal consisting of tens of thousands of rockets and missiles as well as different types of drones, might try to open a new front in the Israel-Hamas war with a large-scale attack on northern Israel.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported Israeli shelling of several villages and said a car took a direct hit in the village of Houla. On Saturday evening, shelling intensified around an Israeli army post across from the Lebanese village of Yaroun.
Fears are mounting in Lebanon - of an escalation in the fighting between Hezbollah and the Israeli Army, which began after the start of the war on Gaza.

This could easily turn out poorly for the Gulf nations. There are many US bases in those countries, and Iranian allies have already attacked US bases in Iraq and occupied Syria. Earlier today, US Senator Lindsey Graham also stated that they would start a "three front war" with Iran, implying they may strike at Iran directly, potentially involving US bases and/or assets situated in the Gulf states. It's possible that no one in the region will remain untouched, except maybe Jordan.
I thought there was a chance the US could settle things down. Especially since they just went through this. But I don't see how we avoid a wider scale war at this point.

Israel considered that war a failure and a missed opportunity. Israel could have cleaned their clock in 2006 but settled for a prisoner exchange instead and saved many lives which would have been lost if a war would have escalated.

If the people in Lebanon stopped Iran financing the Terrorists from operating in there country and the people in Gaza & the West bank did the same, this situation would not exist. How would Iran like it if a terrorist organisation set itself up in Iran under the guise of a political group, with the aim of overthrowing a neighbouring country.

Plus they have the price of war to pay which is innocent that will die for nothing, facilities to be destroyed. It's very smart of Hamas to start this. If they'd not think themselves to be super heroes to cross the border,go in to another place that is well guarded to kill people and take hostages none of this would've happened. You and i wouldn't have had to come here to make this comments. Innocent people both from Gaza and Israel wouldn't have died. People wouldn't have been refugees in their own land. Palestinians wouldn't have had to face the humiliation been rejected by Egypt.
