- Israel's war on Hamas is having ripple effects across the Middle East. The conflict is rekindling tensions in Israel's neighbor to the north - Lebanon - with its fragile and divided population.
Some in Lebanon support the Iran-backed Hezbollah which has threatened attacks against Israel. Other Lebanese fear their country, which has been grappling with a severe economic crisis, could be dragged into a full-scale war.

Those interviews are interesting. They dont want war because they are not ready yet but in principal they would like to fight and defeat Israel.

Not one of them said they didn’t want war, they said that they don’t want it now because they’d be devastated. They just don’t want to lose, but peace doesn’t seem to be their stated goals even when the foreign press asked them.

lebanon has territorial disputes with israel as well. Trading land for peace will not work any better for them than it has worked for ukraine. once the disputed area has been colonized, they will seek to expand.

What people don't understand is Lebanon also has territorial disputes with Israel as well meaning israel will lose part if its southern territory trying to destroy Hamas which will bring another political quaghmire into the equation

Is it possible to be a terrorist when you are twenty, then later in life change and be a peace activist? Is there a difference between a massacre and an infantry battle involving civillians? The Palestinians can not see the difference.
Yes it is possible, the kids are indoctrinated very young to hate anything not of it's belief, it can be done but it is very delicate and takes a lot of time and effort.

It is always amusing to see women who are enthusiastic about war. They don’t have to go fight so why not root on the carnage?
The only reason they are not joining the efforts in this war is because what they see the consequences of that may be upon them, Gaza is a reminder to the whole Arab world surrounding Israel that there are consequences to their actions, they understand what Hamas failed to acknowledge, that it would bring Devastation upon them that nobody wants

Yes, but your Lebanese then you know Hezbollah army isn't design to attack Israel. Hezbollah doesn't have advance fighter jets or has several battalion of tanks or advance drones to project power into Israel. Hezbollah army is design to occupy Lebanon.

London mayor Sadiq Khan has called for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war, becoming the most senior Labour figure to rebel against leader Keir Starmer’s stance on Gaza.
Some 49 Labour MPs - almost a quarter of the 199 Labour members in parliament - have now defied the leader’s position and publicly called for a ceasefire in Gaza.
The party’s MPs have been offered security advice, as they come under pressure from their constituents over Sir Keir’s comments on the conflict.
Queen Rania of Jordan has accused Western countries of “aiding and abetting” the killing of Palestinians by supporting Israel’s war against Hamas.
The monarch also accused those backing Israel’s bombing of Gaza in response to Hamas’s terror attack as an example of Western “double standards”.
“The people all around the Middle East, including in Jordan, we are just shocked and disappointed by the world’s reaction to this catastrophe that is unfolding,” she told CNN.
If they'd just leave israel alone nothing would happen. Israel isn't concerned with conquering their neighbors.

Its in the bible, its in our hadiths, when the second time Israelites build their kingdom, they will fall from the north, prophet peace be upon him described the men that will enter Jerusalem the second time have hearts of steel and raising yellow flags. And the quran says god will send the same people to bring isreal down the same way they bought it down the first time, and that promise has been fulfilled. So the Assyrians brought it down the first time and now the same people, which means Syria and Lebanon both are some of iraq, all have decents of Assyria. You can't stop it its going to happen, it has been written, and those countries that will back isreal with their military might will face men backed up with the might of the creator. Its inevitable.

Syria didn't attack Israel but Israel destroyed two of their airports. Do you know that? You should be in Lebanon and address their fear as well. Its not Israel whose fear of existence matter only. FYI, israel has occupied lebanese territory for decades. Its fair to be involved in war with Israel.

They are cooperating with Hizbollah and are sending units, ammo, weapons and different equipment through the syrian border. From Iran to syria to Hizballah.

This way you can easily close your eyes for the fact that an ultra-nationalist, fascitoid government is ruling Isreal, a government that actively tries to get rid off a court that ruled the settlements on Palestinian lands illegal according to national law (not that they're legal according to international law either), while this exact government more than once in the past month announced that they will even step up their settlement actions.
And taking in account the number of Palestinian civilians killed since my post, not much imagination is needed. The facts are there and obvious.
