It's a shame that it's been 5 years since anyone has commented on this. Hammerbox was one of the lesser known bands in Seattle in 1990 but they were none the less terrific. Carrie Akre was from my home town and still is, well she still sings and she is terrific.

I miss this band. Back in the day, this was my 1st mosh pit and Carrie Akre gave me her autograph on my ticket stub like a class act. Ah, the 90's. Good on you, Carrie.

She's awesome. I discovered this group by watching the Hype documentary. A lot great bands that never made it outside and a lot of shit bands too trying to make it big after it exploded. Skin Yard, Mudhoney, and Soundgarden are my favorites..
Grunge band that should have been Bigger. Amazing voice. Good tunes. Wish I heard them on the Radio back then
I was a 1990 import from Eastern WA, after a year or two my 21st birthday saw me beertending in downtown Seattle at just the right time. Enter: Hammerbox at the Moore. As a ‘bartender’ I missed a lot of shows- but I caught them (as well as Image). To this day over 30 years later- of all the Seattle bands I remember and love: Carrie’s voice still moves me and I feel like the Universe handed me something of a gift to be able to see them live. Thanks Hammerbox, and RIP James.

I used to have a Hammerbox T-shirt. Wore it to The Big Stink Concert in 1996 in Portland. Wish I still had it. Love Carrie's voice so much.
I used to follow these guys all over Seattle when they played...she was SO hot on stage...then when Goodness formed I kept following ...there was some GOOD music all over Seattle back then!!!

College and independent radio stations played this extensively, so I believe many were exposed to this music. As soon as I heard it, I bought the album.
