  • This NEW 2 story home has just been completed and it's floor plan is something you have to see! This is a exciting new site built tour for our series "Site Built Saturday!" Hey friends, this is Chance and I have a custom house video tour video for you. Be sure to subscribe and like this video if you enjoy please!
    The home has some of the best style and design I have seen in a new house! I'm very grateful the Mounce family allowed me tour their brand new house. This home has 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms and has roughly 4,090 sq ft heated and cooled(around 5,500 total sqft). Let me know what you think about the video! I hope you enjoy this home walk through video.
    Also let me mention the price building figures are only estimates and mainly just my opinion based on what homes are being built for in this area!

    "Site Built Saturday's" is a new series I would like to add to the channel. Now this won't be every Saturday, for right now maybe only once or twice a month! The mission with this channel is to show you a good time and tour all types of homes, so I thought why not start sprinkling in some stick built homes here and there! Well of course I love it, but I'm just a country girl and sure cannot afford a place like this. Makes me sad, cause I'm still in my tent on my property and it's really getting colder, but I'll make it. I'm proud for the people that can afford this and hope they enjoy it so much.😭😭

    The house is pretty, but I was kind of disappointed in some things. There is a lot of wasted space. I really don’t like how small the bedroom closets are. They’re very deep, but too narrow. If you also use the closet for some storage, how do you reach the clothes? And I don’t care for all the indentions with built-Ins. Everything seems deep and narrow. And how many sinks does one house need? Seem crazy to me! I can’t imagine a normal size family needing all that space. But the two staircases were very cool. It seems like it’s just me who doesn’t care for it. Oh well, that’s why there are so many different models. I will definitely be in the Lord’s house tomorrow! God bless you and your family.

      It's in a weird spot for a formal dining room. Normally, one would not have guests traipse through the kitchen and so far from the (formal) living room, even when the butler's pantry was nearby. I was thinking it was more of a home office, with the bedroom down that hallway being for the live-in nanny/housekeeper. More utilitarian. (Of course, I was surprised the utility room was in the owner's wing instead of the utility wing of the house.)

    I wish the owners well. You missed a door upstairs. I assume it was to an attic area over the garage, an unfinished area. This house is not at all my style. Those tall windows everywhere are way too much. I have 8' x 8' of windows like that on one wall of my living room and that is enough. No privacy unless you cover them all and if you do that why have such windows? Uncovered they are all black holes at night.

  • @whitegyrl5863
    @whitegyrl5863 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Gorgeous home. My only problem is with the horrendously and obnoxiously tiny closets upstairs. How are builders still getting away with such pricey homes and closet space does not match. Babies have more clothes than what would fit into those closets. What has happened to coat closets? Every female has more than one coat. Just my observation, but it is a beautiful home and if it fits their needs, all the better.

  • @lethiapage4767
    @lethiapage4767 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It is interesting and maybe just exactly what the owners want but I am not a fan. I do love the J shape and I the great room area. I think the butlers pantry is overkill because that kitchen is pretty glorious and functional.
    The hallways, passthroughs and dormers add up to a lot of wasted space. The bedroom closets are poorly executed.
    What I would have done is reassess the whole zone to make the dining room bigger and more important. I would have done pantry shelving in the whole area of the butlers area floor to ceiling and behind doors with a small wet bar there on the left hand end or wrapping around on the short side for wine etc. In the area where the closed in pantry is now I would have put laundry with at least 2 each washers and dryers and maybe a steam closet...laundry connected to a half bath on the other side. I would have opened up these areas as much as possible to make the dining room feel bigger. The back bedroom way at the end is in a weird location but would be an excellent inlaw suite with a small kitchenette etc to serve guests, a teen or college kid or grandparent or even a renter...or use as a home office area...esp if the person sees clients they don't give up the family's privacy to do it. I think what I mean to say is that football field of a hallway is really a waste of space. Instead of a corridor with a bunch of little rooms on either side they could have had a suite at the end going across the zone thereby shortening the hallway...with a half bath/laundry/pantry/bar on the inside of the hallway but open to the dining and den on the window side. You can make room more living space and can delineate walkways with furniture placement instead of building out a tunnel through the long end of the home.
    I also am truly not a fan of the finishes esp in the kitchen and master bath.
    But you know...this ain't my house. I hope they love it and as I said maybe it's perfect for the family that built it.

  • @russellwood8750

    The layout of the home is really nice and decent size rooms, the Butler’s pantry and the regular pantry brilliant decent quality material use throughout. A couple of things I would change in the kitchen I would like the island to be wider. The length of it is a decent size, but you could’ve increased the width of it really good to have a big island when you’re doing your own food preserving. Would’ve also added another oven and a steamer oven. It’s good to have that extra oven space particularly when you’re making your own breads or you’re having a big family dinner and you want to cook up a turkey and a ham.. most of the design aesthetic was really nice.
    Some of the doors however, I think might’ve been a bit short. There was a bit of a gap under some of them compared to others. My biggest problem with the house would be the brickwork. I am in Mason with over 30 years experience, and I would rip that the hell out. I wouldn’t be able to sit there and look at it downstairs. Fireplace had split bricks in the heart and split bricks over the soldier course forced year apprentices wouldn’t make that kind a mistake. Upstairs bedroom fireplace had split brick in it too. That should be on your first course if necessary, and everything else should work to gauge. The gauge was all over the place some joints, 10mm, some 15 to 20mm shockingly bad. As for the outside brickwork may be due were going for a that rough finished look it’s not tear tool work on jointing was lousy. The Blockwork in the room next to the vinyl garage joints weren’t even full. My biggest peeve with the brickwork was some idiot painted it. You can get bricks in many many different colors. You can even have them made up specially, for you where they will add the dye to the clay, and then fire the brick, so you’ve got the colour you want.
    You never ever ever paint brickwork. Brickwork needs to breathe by covering it in paint you’ve smothered it. The issue this causes first of all will be within a couple of years. Your paint will all start flaking off and look horrendous. You will also get moisture trapped in the brickwork. This will cause several problems first of all, if the moisture can’t escape, and the wall freezes, you will end up getting spiralling where joints will pop, and bricks will chip and crack.. dander is the forthcoming health issue. After several years of moisture buildup, you will start to get mold. Mold loves a dark moist space will stick to the pores of the natural clay drawing out moisture to feed itself it will spread like a cancer through your home.. mold inside walls is very dangerous because it is so hidden. There’s spores hidden in crevices and cavities. Can’t be carried away by the air current and the HVAC system to infect all areas of the home. In fact, in several countries in Europe, it is illegal to paint brick work due to the health issue this can cause. You might as well go back to using asbestos if you really want to live somewhere that can destroy your health.. for god sake people don’t paint your brickwork.

    Opens door at 3:47.
    Still no entryway. Why don't houses have foyers or parlors or at leadt a frigging landing strip any more?
    The back splash makes the kitchen look really busy. I ain't like anything about the styling of that kitchen!
    Is that like a wet bar next to the pantry? Why?
    I seriously do not understand those upstairs bedrooms. They're tiny but then the closets are almost as big as the bedrooms and those weird long hallways to windows... I'm so confused.
    I love that the tub has a sprayer head but I don't LOVE the way that bathroom is laid out.
    Overall, it's an interesting home and I'm really glad you showed it to us but it's a WEIRD layout!

    Too many waisted bathrooms/rooms..The bedrooms aren't that impressive. The kitchen was spacious.

    Would have expected enormous bedrooms. For a house that size too small. I love the bathrooms and the downstairs. Not liking the upstairs.

    Compared to the size of the house, the living room looked small. Didnt like the backsplash either. I did like floor plan of just the house.

    It's nice. My initial reaction for a bigger house was where is the dining room? My favorite is the room off the master suite. I like the number of bathrooms and garage/room storage areas. The upstairs is too hodge podge feeling with low ceilings for me. Not a fan at all of the kitchen backsplash

    Yes I do like site built saturdays but you were making me pretty drunk with the camera moving around in the first 7 mins of the video! I had to stop watching!

    I can't understand open plan living. I prefer the kitchen seperate. All the cooking smells in the living room isn't for me

    Too much useless wasted space. Porches not wide or long enough. Finishes are nice though. All closets left a lot to be desired. Do not like living room by kitchen without separation.

    Overall, it's a nice design. It looks small but opens up nicely. The living room seems a little small for my taste and the dining room is oddly placed, but if you don't use it much, I suppose it's fine. I like the maid/guest/mother-in-law suite at the back of the house, very flexible. It could be a home office too. The "open" garage confuses me. Is the back side going to be open as the key locks on the doors might suggest so that the garage, sans cars, can also be used as a hangout/party spot near a pool? I like the attic playroom for the kiddies, but their bedrooms have only one tiny window. That is bad design. Plus, the closets are so small. Kids have a lot of clothes. I think the living room staircase is unneeded and I would not have it built as to have more living room area as there is no family room for the family to hangout in. The kitchen and main bath counter tops are nice, but I wouldn't use the same stone in every other room. I'd want something that complimented it but was not as fancy. It's obvious that the smaller closet is the HIS closet. That wall to the bedroom fireplace will be problematic for arranging furniture. I'd do without it and open the small room up to feel bigger. Not sure about the door from the laundry to the toilet. That could lead to a few surprises. Picture hubby sitting there working a Sudoku and hears wifey in the laundry, slides open the door and tossed his drawers to her with a "Here sweetie. These need a wash." I like the SAFE room. It, hopefully, will not need to be used. Thanks. Great video and I like visiting built houses.

    It's a beautiful home but I find the bedrooms and closets kind of small. Don't like the location of the dinning room and don't like having that access door in the laundry room into the water closet from the on suite.

    Those bedrooms are really weird. I don’t understand why there’s tiny little hall that leads to the widows. I would take that wall down so it would be bigger.

    No foyer/entry on this house immediately turned me off. The exterior formality of the home demanded that for me to like this one, not to overlook the hidden enclosed stairs.
