Johnathan you have your whole life ahead of you. I'm glad to see you stayed with KARM, now you see working full time during the holiday season is draining in so many ways. I felt the same as you did about my life and I'm 34 yrs old. I couldn't let my dreams pass me by without trying so I had to go for it. I left the country and tried to get a visa in Ireland but it didn't happen I got turned down at every opportunity. So I came back home and now I'm just taking a break from working. I'm not returning to retail lol. IDK what I'm doing but I do know that God has a plan for me and He has a plan for you too. Keep your head up you're a good kid and a great friend! I love ya BRUH!
I'm enjoying this quite a lot, so I'll be writing my take as I watch it because I feel it deserves it. By the 15 minute mark, It's already made me feel like I had a little grasp on your feelings. It probably helped being myself a 20 year old who's also struggling with having to choose a path and start dipping our feet into adulthood. I've found comfort in these 15 minutes, it was a good reminder that it's everyone's first try at life and we are all trying to figure different shit out. You mention around the 25 minute mark how people have "shit going on for them", my man, many if not all would watch this and wish they had the artistic vision and introspection abilities you're developing or the discipline to work for 6 months on a single project, don't fall for the trap of underselling yourself to yourself. Nobody shouts their demons, that's why it seems like they don't have them. I also liked how you gave 3 different takes on people going through it, to highlight what I said at the end of the 1st paragraph Final notes: It's been an honor to be a witness to your grieving over teenage years through this documentary, editing between chapters was a good choice since it let the viewer (both you and us) see the evolution. As much as that evolution was interesting to see, I personally would've added some referencing between each chapters, feels like it lacks cohesion (Which might be a deliberate choice, as it also helped with translating the chaotic feeling of these years). But that's just some nitpicking for you to reflect on and decide what *you* wanna do with *your* style. I can't not recommend you watch the movie "Perfect days", don't look anything up, you'll find joy in it. The more time passes, the more you'll appreciate the time capsule you made for yourself homie, be proud. Take much care my man, keep on doing your thing.
thank you for your words. i wish i couldve added more from the im between stages and spoke more on how i felt but i jus didn’t know how to put it in. so much has happened it’s hard to remember everything and put it in but i feel if i did it would’ve meshes a lot better. thank you for the kind words and i’ll definitely check out that film 🙏🏽🙏🏽
