Hi James Those windows were exactly like the windows in the Amityville horror house. We lived in Amityville when we first married but never went near that house. I have seen pictures of the house and they changed those windows. They were so creepy looking. This house has seen better days. Now it’s a hot mess. I applaud you James for having the nerve to go in that house. Thanks for sharing with us this once nice house. Stay safe and well.👍🆒🏚️
Oh that's cool that you lived in Amityville. I had heard they changed the windows on the house used for the remake, not sure if that was the same house from the original or not. Really glad you enjoyed it Irene and thanks so much for your comment!!
Such a beautiful old house! All the details you don’t see anymore! The staircase in the middle that you can enter the kitchen and the living room is cool! I like all of your finds even the ones in bad shape! Thank you!
Ya, I really liked that staircase too, although it would make moving furniture a lot more difficult! Glad you are enjoying all the videos and thanks a lot for your comment!!
Really enjoyed the premiere!! I watched it again tonight to check it out again😊 Wish vandals would learn to respect things!!!! It was a nice home in its day!! Beautiful location!!❤️❤️. The wood was beautiful ❤ I wonder what kind it was? The fireplace was nice too. It would be great in a cabin!! Wonder how many layers of wallpaper it had? You always do a great job!!!!! Be safe!! Hope your shoes are ok😊. Pam❤️❤️
Ya, this one had a lot of great aspects to it and I think you covered them all. Always a shame to see spots like this vandalized too. Really glad you enjoyed it Pam and thank you so much for your comment!!
Dang about your boots, great place you took us through, and wow what scenery so beautiful wouldn't it have been awesome seeing that out your windows every day. Thanks for another walk through from the past!
Ya, it happens, it didn't really hurt them in the long run...it comes with the territory I guess. 😆 I can only imagine having that view to look out at all the time, would be amazing. Glad you enjoyed it Polly and thank you very much for your comment!!
This is an incredible property. So much potential for the use of that land. House is too far gone to be saved unfortunately. As always amazing work JH. Big Hugs 😊😊 P.S. Urbex Fitness haha
I think the house could still be saved, I have seen much worse rehabilitated it we know it likely won't happen. Amazing property though for sure. Glad you enjoyed the Urbex fitness and thanks a lot for your comment Kimmy!!
You would never think FRESH paint would be one of the perils of exploring……paint, yes….fresh paint, no, lol!!! Always a great video coming from you!!! The land value must be high on a beautiful lake like that.
Ya, I certainly was not expecting that! The paint must have been originally used to paint over the graffiti in the rooms...then the kids got hold of the leftovers. Really glad you enjoyed it and thanks a lot for your comment!!
I think this video is evidence that you could totally be the next Jane Fonda, or maybe Michaelangelo with those terrific alternative painting techniques. 😉😄 I loved the chimney from the outside, the dual access staircase (guess that's what you'd call it), and the location of this one looks amazing! What a shame it got to this state, which is probably beyond repair, but i hope someone rebuilds another place in the spot because it'd be a shame not to. Thanks for taking us along! Now you can go hibenate (for the evening at least). 🙂
😆 But ya, the staircase in this one was amazing, same with the Amityville Horror windows. Such an amazing location and I am sure it will be used for an amazing home again one day. Thanks very much for your comment Carrie!!
@@StaticSpaces Just imagine the intro... you've got wayfarer sunglasses on, and you introduce yourself as 'Fonda. JAMES Fonda, and i'm here to help you work your abs off!' 😂🙃
Those trunks are from an Italian family that came over in the 20s through 40s😮 I just saw some today at an amazing abandoned house in Oro Medonte. A large number of Italian immigrants came then. Interesting history on how the Canadian government persecuted them. Majority pushed up in Rual ontario which now is considered not far from Toronto. Back then they had many places in Innisfil and up towards Huntsville
Crazy, I certainly think you could be right about that. That's cool that you found some today, I haven't explored a lot in that area but there have been a few really good locations there over the years! Thank you very much for your comment!!
Wow! I love the layout of this house. Wish it was in better shape it would be a great restoration project. The fireplace was incredible. Gorgeous surroundings. Who knew that spilled paint would still be wet, lol. Sorry about your shoes. Those damn quarter windows remind me of creepy eyes (guess I watched Amityville Horror a few too many times lol). Those windows were replaced in Amityville by small square ones. Great explore James!.
I know right, I have seen a fair bit of spilled paint in abandoned places before but it's always dry! 😂 Yes, I heard that about the Amityville house, that's a shame, they are iconic. Thank you very much for your comment!!
Shiplap, the clue is in the name , ' lap' the boards lap over, or overlap, with boats it's termed "clinker". What upsets me with these places is the pointless and oh so stupid vandalism. As a kid way back in the 50's and 60's we used to visit old abandoned, and derelict properties and factories just as you guys do today, but we never ever damaged or defaced anything, indeed I personally learned a lot, about buildings ,construction, and the way people lived. We never removed anything , we left the places just as we found them, save for footprints in the dust.
See I had thought shiplap was when boards overlapped, as in the top is against the wall and the bottom of the board against the board it is overlapping...that's why I was getting confused. The funny thing is, that's called overlap. I have learned so much about homes and buildings in general while exploring...but what has been most important in that process is how to properly maintain them and avoid major problems. That's cool you explored years ago and I guess that's why you enjoy the videos now. Thanks very much for your comment!!
Maybe the current owners will sell the property one day and we will see a huge mansion go up, or maybe a small subdivision or a warehouse. Thanks very much for your comments!!

That must have been a really nice house i liked it that attic could have easily been finished to bad morons had to trash it
It is a really nice house, hopefully someone restored this location in the future. Thank you very much for your comment!!

Hi Helen, thanks for coming to the premiere and for your comment!!
@StaticSpaces you're welcome James

Oh I know this place. We've been wanting to check it out for so long.
I think it was boarded up last Summer?
Great vid 👍
Ya, it's a pretty iconic location. I'm really not sure when the new boards went up. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks a lot for your comment!!
That trunk could have been a travel case back years ago
I think you could be right, thanks Jerrold!!

Squatters bottles?
Most likely!
Come on dude who wears their good shoes in places like this….live and learn that’s all you can do ✌🏼✌🏼
I don't wear good shoes, I wear shoes specifically for exploring but when they are only two months old, it is a bit of a letdown 😆
👍
Thanks very much for your comment!!
It’s such a prime location why wouldn’t someone have either saved that house or leveled it and built a new house…🤔🤔🤔
Maybe the current owners will sell the property one day and we will see a huge mansion go up, or maybe a small subdivision or a warehouse. Thanks very much for your comments!!
They were gonna build a raft with those water bottles and float away……🚣🚣🚣🚣🚣
Hahaha, maybe!
ran sacked
Such a shame too because it's a really nice house in an even more amazing area! Thanks very much for watching!!
