88 years old.... amazing how he controls and still masters everything. Long live Maestro !
Spectacular, breathing performance …..thank you so much for sharing your talent to the world . If I was there sure I will weep for joy and privilege to listen to you ❤
Incredible!!! Such a young soul! Bravo, Maestro ❤❤❤!
so lucky to be able to listen to this giant, thank you for posting, it is a privilege to listen to you.
I love the presence, the style, the interpretation, the musicality of this performance! Very expressive and with clear "diction." Bravo, maestro!
Dear Maestro...words are not enough to explain what I have only as of yesterday discovered here and through your documentaries and the lesson on the Beethoven Variations. You see, I follow a fine international pianist who studied at Saint Petersburg, and with his beloved mentor you mention in your documentary. I found your discussion because I am not a musician but knew from childhood that the piano would be my life's purpose; yet, that never came to be. To better appreciate the Variations, I stayed up all night to listen, to watch, and to learn from you. What a wonderful learning experience that provides me with some insight into what true greatness, beauty, truth, and absolute refinement is when it comes to all levels of pianistic performance. Thank you for your joy, your delight, your still young and fresh approach that makes each piece sound new and exciting because of your artistry, skill, and passion for the music and those who created such compositions. Wishing you continued good health, enjoyment of life, and many more performances.
Elegant, very artistic playing... controlled, nuanced... heart felt... very beautiful!
What a gem! Thank you so much. The Mozart Rondo is considered by some to be one the most perfectly written pieces of its sort and here performed perfectly imho.
I wish the camera shows more of the keyboard than the audience. Other than that, it is a wonderful posting!
These Russians really understand the art of music. The list is long for me, including....Ekatarina Mechitina, Danil Trifonov, Dimitri Paperno, Yvegeny Kissin, Polina Osetinskaya, Olga Scheps, Kamil Valieva, and now this Mikhail Voskresensky who plays so charmingly.
I am not enough of an authority on this topic to have an especially insightful opinion, but judging from the obviously very, very high level of musicianship (complete mastery of this very difficult repertoire, staggering technique - at any age, let alone 88 - and exquisite interpretations of real artistry), I'd say Mr. Voskresensky very consciously adapted his performance to the size of the piano and the small room, creating a much more intimate approach than would be possible with a Steinway concert grand on the Carnegie Hall stage. This has instantly become one of my favorite videos, because it has changed how I think about the possibilities of a "public concert." It's the kind of program you only expect at a big concert hall with a big piano, yet that is all turned on its head in this performance, treated in such an "intimate" way. Yet, by broadcasting it on TH-cam, it becomes much more "public" than a place like Carnegie Hall. And it completely works. The small room and piano changes the emphasis from playing for big "projection" (i.e., to 1500 people, many of them 250 feet away), to something much more immediate. And it *completely* works.
Beautiful, high-class performance. Thank you for sharing!

Magnificent, joyful, beautiful…..you are the very definition of perfection 🎹👏🏻🎹👏🏻🎹❤️
Major hugs,

Bravo!!!
That Scriabin was exquisite.
Jewel-like.
Grande pianista. Ho diversi CD registrati da lui.
What a rectial; wHat a journey! Works spanning more than 160 years! And if absolutely nothing else the video provides a masterclass on pedalling. Putting aside pedagogical isopoints and 'degrees of separation', it's still sobering yet fascinating to take on board that M. Voskresensky is only six generations removed in a direct line from Beethoven.
¡Felicitaciones!
Amazing! What a great artist……
Estou super feliz e me sentindo assistindo a um momento único. OBRIGADA!
Full delight! May you be blessed with long life and good health!
He gets a wonderful sound out of a rather small piano.
Felicitaciones desde Uruguay. Maestro.!!!! Carlos Balbi pianista.

The beautiful voice of this piano as well as the intimacy and virtuosity of this performance are a real pleasure !

Hello Mikhail, that was superb. Will you perform in Berlin as well ?
Bravissimo!
Vielen Dank aus Wien!
Ukrainian born, he couldn't stand invasion into his Motherland and fled to the US. At the age 88, maestro gives a perfect sound and mood. Bravo!
Thanks!
Is he now a U.S. citizen?
From the first note one can feel the muses are with this man.
Que beleza, parabéns Sr.Mikahil!

That’s the shortest Bösendorfer I’ve ever seen! It must be like 5 feet long!
yep, it is a baby Bosie, 155cm.

Vielen dank aus Ohio
Very good! Nice non legato. I like it.
This is lovely...I esp love the Scriabin....thanks for posting this. X PS The tuning of that piano needs quite a lot of work!
Sitting with your back to the audience? Never in my life!
A Bösendorfer over a Fazoli?
Mikhail Voskresensky born on June 25, 1935, in Berdiansk, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union) is a Russian pianist and music pedagogue who left Russia for the United States in 2022 protesting against Russian invasion of Ukraine. Lets hope Putin doesn't come after him!
Extremely boring....go play Carl Czerny studies!!!!
Amazing!

Bravo!!
