- Peter and i go out into the countryside. The weather is on the turn and it's getting chilly. Stir-Fry is on the menu today. Peter helps me by telling me where i'm going wrong! The Trangia 27 and triangle come out yet again! A good combination of cookers to have.

Thanks for watching. I think the Quorn pieces are quite good compared to other products i've had. We will never run out of products to cook, there is a flood of them these days.
@@PaulBissekerBushcraft I remember when quorn first came out in the early 90s, Sainsbury’s had beef pies and chicken pies, they were really nice and definitely were better than the traditional soya pieces. If my aged memory serves me well I do believe there was a bit of a hoo ha over the ‘accidental ‘ mix up of veggie quorn pies and real chicken pies🤡
Trangias are amazing bits of kit, I got the 27 last year and a second trangia stove a few weeks ago. When I first got it I was trawling TH-cam and found your channel, instantly loved the real presentations...none of the “I’m super excited” nonsense that lots of folk churn out, Peter absolutely adds to the days out! Great stuff and I always look forward to your adventures....how is your back now after the prang in the taxi? Hope it’s all fixed!

I hate to preach but as I like Peter and would like to see him around for a lot longer, have a smoke or two mate but the number you go through sure looks scary for your long term survival prospects :-0

Excellent vid mate, especially with Smokey the bear lmao. If your worried about smells in the van, get yourself a 12 volt ionizer, they work a treat at getting rid of smells in my car and last van.

I've got the Trangia 25, and a 12 inch Wok fits on it just perfect. The 16 CM Zebra billy pot fits, but not perfect. Stay safe and keep warm. Good channel by the way.

Great video Paul thanks for the laughs and healthy cooking. I use the trangia pot stand adapter which fits both 25 and 27 and you can put a mug or small pot on it. I thought Peter had hermann under his cardigan when he kept rubbing his belly. Take care both of you. Cheers, Ian

I have the MSR pocket rocket but have found myself using my Trangia burner more frequently Basically because they are nice and quiet but without the Trangia cooking gear as like you I find them not the most wind proof
I have the standard but also the military burner which is about 25% larger.
I've also gone over to using ECO fuel instead of meth's

You could use the Trangia inside the van/tent/breaker to prevent heat loss through the top gap during windy spells.

Are the o-ring seals in the Army burner the same size as those in civilian burner?
No, bigger O-rings in the military version, but its possible to use the smaller o-rings from the Trangia civil burner in the military version as a quick repair.
Wonder if you could use paper clips that you turn the ears down and could clip on you wind screen and then drop the ears down to the inside of your wok making a skirt around the wok to block the wind? Thanks for Sharing. Stay Safe.

I have been trying out some of the Meat free stuff you been cooking and got to say it's quite nice. Yesterday i had the Linda McCartney stuff cheese meat free burgers which was lovely taste close to a real burger.
I thought I was gonna miss you cooking the meaty stuff because you been cooking meat free for some time now but it's all good carry on Paul
