it's amazing cause they put the parking breakes, full engine and once it reaches 100% they switch off the breakes. Just like military planes due to the short runway
We took Cebu Air into Caticlan Airport about 5 years ago on a ATR-72-500. Landing was a great experience, but taking off takes the cake. Pretty much the same in this video. Felt like being catapulted off a carrier deck. The pilot set the brakes, max power, the plan was shaking good... then off with the brakes and hauled ass down the runway until we rotated out. Always wondered just how many aircraft ate it at the end of the runway...
@@tgirdy-gamer oh wow thanks for bringing me back here... 8 years ago though, i didn't expect to see my old comment i wasn't actually here, akala ko lang nandoon ako dahil yung flight namin noon nasa caticlan rin around the same time
don't risk your life on this airline. they care more about marketing toys than your life! cebupacific has been banned from usa and Europe due to safety record
Risk? To be honest, they're quite safe, only having one fatal accident. It's just that the EU and the US have stricter aviation laws compared to Asian laws in general. I've flown CEB countless times "Risking my life" and arrived in one piece, although slightly delayed.
hopefully air asia will put Cebu pacific out of business for good. look at Cebu airport Cebu pacifics main hub. dry rot in ceiling........hmmmmmmmmm.. and u think they care about you? just look at their flagship airport . Cebu. what a joke
yogi yogi really? cebu airport is NOT owned by Cebu pac, it is goevernment onwed airport and cebu pac don't have any control regarding of the maintenance in the airport. they just pay fees with the gates and their operations there. move on troll. cebu pac will continue its business and will make more money with their new aircrafts. and FYI before you say anything bad about cebu airport(RPVM), I fly that airport almost everyday and their air traffic controllers is well trained and are very professional. I've never witness any mistakes on their operations as air traffic controllers, based on my experienced flying to that airport.

Well, it was a short runway. The only time I experienced a take-off on Caticlan was on an A320.
And several aircraft ate it. The common reason being the plane overshot the runway while landing.
@@gabrielolocordova6308 Yes?
What are you trying to tell me? I did not ask for the specs of the ATR 72.
I miss this video. That is a video I keep watching for years since I'm a young lad
We took Cebu into Caticlan last May 2012, it was a lot of fun flying in and out of the airport.
