Hey Joey! This car is a unique treat you brought us here, man. Very rare as I have only seen 2 on the streets of NYC, but my eyes were caught by it's arresting and futuristic bod. As always, VW and Audi do such a great job with the metal fits, stampings and cuts on their vehicles. Vw steering wheels are the best. Feels so good. 2018 Atlas and Tiguan feels like luxury for a lot less money. Great quality also. Folks, VW has improved their quality, give them a chance, they’re great vehicles. I’ve proudly owned five so far and hopefully an Arteon next year.
I'm looking to upgrade from my 2016 Jetta Sport to either this or a new GLI in a couple years. This will definitely be quite the upgrade! Great review!
Good review 👍 power is the only issue with the Arteon. The good thing is the car already comes with the Golf Rs IS38 turbo which means an APR ECU tune will net you 360HP/366TQ and all performance parts from a Golf R/GTI/GLI will bolt right in add a full CAI, turbo inlet will add 370HP/380TQ plus the wonderful induction/turbo flutter noise. I have this same car but a 2020 and enjoying it for the price and a little tune it's a fantastic car.
The Now or Later pocket sold me! Eh eh eh eh. VW styling is always interesting. The problem is they never let you have it all, in order to prop up Audi sales. I love the look. As always, the engine HP and torque are lack luster. But, I guess the 10.3” of visual pleasure could make up for that. Lovely car...but I still miss the CC. It was a real classic. Lori, Joe, as ALWAYS...a great job. I really do like these kind of car videos. Daily drivers that you can actually afford. Thanks guys...
Got me a 21 SEL R-Line but the grill LED light bars only light up with the headlights. The curved portions light up as DRLs tho. Why does this one light up the whole light bar and mine doesn't?
Yes, 268 is plenty!!! I catch myself driving 76-80 without realizing it! It's incredible and interior is so quiet. My Audi relative can't believe the quiet ride.
I think its beautiful, I also don't understand why he was disappointed at the top sun roof, I think it looks perfectly fine, I'm not saying that a whole glass fiber roof or something like that (looks like glass fiber to me) would've been bad but. . . I think its fine.
I need to make sure I eat before I watch your reviews; you always mentioning snacks triggers my appetite And I had now idea they still made Now & Laters lol. Oh and beautiful car! I'm kind of surprised that I've NEVER seen one here in Denver....especially since it has 4-motion.
It looks good but I wish it had a little more power. The frameless windows make it easier to break into...shh, don’t tell anyone. Thanks for sharing it Joe. Nicely done! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
They are a very nice and handsome car. The Arteon is based on the European Passat, the interior is lifted straight from the Euro Passat though there are some higher grade materials used in the Arteon to give it a more upmarket feel. There is also an Arteon R with 2.0 litre turbo 316bhp on sale in Europe as well as a Shooting Brake wagon version.
Love the styling inside and outside and the fact is lift back. Like you Joe disappointed in powerplant and lack of manual and/or DSG transmission. Other reviews have mentioned the dampers/suspension not changed much going to Sport versus normal setting. I think Europe gets version that is like the Golf R we get here. Hopefully will be sold here for awhile but heard may be phased out shortly for the USA. As always great review!
Love this car. Its something an A7 customer should look at. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Cupra Ateca 310hp 2 litre in this one. Always remember, the check engine light in a VW product serves as a friendly universal message that the engine is still in the vehicle. Think of how its soothing yellow light warms the soul, on a frosty Black Forest drive. It’s always there when you expect it; it’s something you should look forward to, like the daisy on the dash of a Beetle. CHEEeers 🤣

Next thing you know “ 12" is kinda small”
Got a mint 2021 R line 4 motion and stage 1 APR tune to 360 hp and its a total sleeper.
Family sedan with Golf R performance.😊
Great review by the way.
Hey Joey! This car is a unique treat you brought us here, man. Very rare as I have only seen 2 on the streets of NYC, but my eyes were caught by it's arresting and futuristic bod. As always, VW and Audi do such a great job with the metal fits, stampings and cuts on their vehicles. The back seat looks nice and big as you and Lori enjoy some great German potato salad, delish wurst on fresh buns and a warm and soft big German pretzel with mustard. And plenty of German beer to wash it down. I'll be driving, so no problem. lol :) JV Johnny
The scenery along the road is beautiful.
Florida
Thanks joe for giving love on VW its been awhile. I wish this thing had bigger engine displacement
Such a beautiful car! I want one so bad! 🤞🏾
There it is! Was waiting for this one. Was between this and the one I just got a 21 Grand Cherokee 80th Anniversary. Nice review!
Honkeytonk
I've always loved these cars ever since the first generation Passat CC.
I always look forward to your reviews. And you could not do it without L your camera girl!
I totally agree with you Joel!
Woah that VW looks awesome
I am so glad that you like it!
Great VW Arteon R Line for US, .... very good his car videos
Got me a 21 SEL R-Line but the grill LED light bars only light up with the headlights. The curved portions light up as DRLs tho. Why does this one light up the whole light bar and mine doesn't?
This car has a really good looking front end in my opinion and I agree this car should have at least 300 hp but 268 is plenty lol. Great review joe
Yes, 268 is plenty!!! I catch myself driving 76-80 without realizing it! It's incredible and interior is so quiet. My Audi relative can't believe the quiet ride.
Joe I like this car a lot. very nice !
Thanks for letting me bring it to you Rich!
Acceleration is nothing that a computer flash wouldn't solve.
Yes sir. Love my APR tune😊
Dude you with these candies makes me wanna buy it
Excellent commentary. Thank you. Just bought this car…
This will be my first VW sedan to buy Joe.
It is a looker for sure!
nice for a VeeDub, but please show us the driver assist features in future reviews, lane keeping, how well the adaptive cruise works etc
Anyone else notice this dude went 80 in a 35?? Brave man..
Get a life Karen
@@FYMM69 chill
@@FYMM69 no he is not a Karen.....public roads going 10 over is ok, more than that you start to get into reckless territory....
Fire review🔥🔥u can tell bro loves his job
Saw one in traffic had to check it out.
mann what's Hostess marketing team doin? I would be sponsoring Raiti for promoting Twinkies
You are so very awesome Peter!
They Should be Sponsoring you
Don’t forget 8 paydays!!
It looks good but I wish it had a little more power. The frameless windows make it easier to break into...shh, don’t tell anyone. Thanks for sharing it Joe. Nicely done! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
You are too much Larry!
Would love to see you review used, cheap and reliable cars people actually buy
Just look at his older reviews...problem solved.
Never miss your videos.
16:34 ON THROTTLE!!!!!!! sounds awesome
Oh yeah!
awesome review as usual 🎉
Thanks Bobby for your great support!
Thank you Lori. You guys are the best.
This trim doesn't hve ventilated or cooled front seats but the one above this one does
You are so right!
The seats are cooked well done? That's rare
@@nsbioy I meant to say cooled lol
Wooo! Keep them coming!
Very honest and GREAT review 👍🏾
Thanks for saying that and the support!
Googling the 0-60 time for the 2022 (same numbers for the last couple of years) is 5.6s for the middle trims. The slowest is 6.4s for the top trim
Ill be simple ,its missing interior ( premium interior that can match exterior) this would be a great seller! Raiti great review!
Never thought about that car but it looks nice better than I thought
I hear you loud and clear with that in car microphone while driving experience 🙌🏽
Joe is the G.I Joe of car reviews
I really like the design of the new vw arteon 2021 though i prefer its still one of the best looking sedan
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it!
Inside is awesome
Heck yeah!
Thanks Robert for sharing those thoughts.
I have a 2019 apr stage 1 plus tune lowered on h and r springs. Great car except interior rattles everywhere.
Did the stage 1 make a significant difference?
your reviews are great, your food references crack me up. I got a 2020 VW Tiguan SEL Rline from your reviews :-)
@Terri Mansfield i love it, my first VW
@Terri Mansfield thanks you too
Love this car.
CHEEeers 🤣
Definitely a beautiful looking VW.
I agree with you!
Well Joe, as you probably know, for 2022, the Arteon is getting 300hp and a 7speed dual clutch DSG. Now this will be interesting. 😊
Beautiful design and nice interior
I am so glad that you are digging this one.
This looks great , look wayy better than the accord 🔥🔥🔥
Love Joe’s reviews, he always gives the best REAL WORLD snacks/food examples😂 Bcus I definitely need to know if the car has a dedicated spot for my Twinkies☝🏽 Love ur sense of humour Joe!❤️
Great review! Nice refresh.
I like it with the power that it has. I'm wouldn't be trying to race this car!
I wish you could’ve gotten your hands on the top trim model. Great video!
