High End Pillow Dupe using Felt • Pretty Storage from Pantry Boxes • Cabinet Door to Serving Tray

- Lots of quick and easy, budget friendly crafting and home decor projects today! We have a thrift flip, high end dupe, and a trash to treasure all in one video!
~ First, we take an old cabinet door, and transform it into an elegant serving tray. Painted a beautiful creamy white using Waverly chalk paint in the color Plaster and accented with air dry clay embellishments. Clay mould is Iron Orchid Designs Classic Elements. Gold trim on the handles make a classy statement and highlight the gold gently brushed onto our clay designs!

~ Next, we do a high-end pillow dupe. Grandin Road sells their floral topiary pillow for $67, but I show you how to make your own version for under $10! We will take an 18x18 pillow cover from hobby lobby and make our own floral topiary using budget friendly felt! Hand rolled flowers in soft shades of pink make this pillow one of the prettiest projects that I have ever made, and I like it better than the original! It adds that perfect Shabby Chic touch to my sofa.
~ Finally, we will take boxes from our pantry and create beautiful shabby chic storage containers. A little mod podge and gorgeous scrapbooking paper makes this the perfect trash to treasure project!

As usual, we’re on the same wave length! I was just agonizing over my overflowing basket of lace and doilies, wondering what to do with them and lo and behold, your video came to the rescue! Loved❤️ everything you did, but that nite light did it for me. Years ago we used to harden doilies with a store bought stiffener, but glue and water is the same thing, and cheaper. Don’t fret if the oversized clay doily is too fragile, it can be hardened and attached to canvas or wood as is, painted and added to other objects like rice paper, etc. to create a beautiful work of art! You’ve inspired me to do just that! How gorgeous would it be wrapping a doily around a pumpkin to dry, making a slit to remove it, adding a stem and a battery operated candle inside? You’ve opened a new world for me! 👍👏👏👏👏

The pillow is so pretty!!! I was throwing a small box out and my little granddaughter said Hey thats not trash. My doll needs a table. Learning young!!! Push pop ice cream has little round bases and plastic stems and she said my doll needs seats too. 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you Mary! You could also use a large picture frame as a tray if you cannot find a door. Maybe you could make a pillow and keep it in the laundry room. No one would go in there for fear of being put to work 😀

As usual, all you do to create beautiful and artistic items, turn out exceptionally beautiful. That pillow POPS out like a neon sign and dwarfs everything around it. Colors are so pleasing and the 3D flowers 🌸 are perfectly done. The door comes at a time when I’m struggling with what to do with mine. It was going to be a tray but it’s so heavy. What do you think of a transfer in the middle, or a picture and hang it on the wall? The boxes are in all the colors I love, but I don’t have the patience you do to cover them.
