I enjoy playing Minecraft RTX mode using Resource packs like Stylized Resource Pack.
This build is done in Minecraft 1.20 latest version and work with Minecraft 1.19 and hopefully work in 1.20 and 1.18 versions as well.

This is cool! Tip- you can replace the kelp with sugarcane and alter the collection system a bit, and it will give you 20% more bonemeal. Thx for this video keep it up!

it's a minecart with hopper
As you are using a mine-cart with hopper to collect the kelp, you would be better having a single composter/hopper combo somewhere along the track.
Having six of them splits the load, which slows down the task as each composter is competing for the same resources.
I'd have the track run on wood or other block in 5 cases, and maybe put the composter/hopper at one end of the track.
you don't even need the minecart at all. Use mud blocks with hoppers underneath going right into composters.

@@dmlw It works with soul sand as well. The reason is that these blocks are slightly smaller than other full blocks (the player and mobs sink into them slightly), but still otherwise behave as full blocks in terms of being able to plant and place stuff on them.
@@agentzapdos4960 yeah i knew about soul sand but since mud is new i had no idea. I didn't even know you could make mud yourself even though it makes sense since it's just water and dirt lol

I recommend 1-2 composters it will be faster. And I recommend putting magma blocks so the kelp wont just float in the water and it will suck it down so the hopper minecart can pick it up
where would you put the megma block

Even with Magma blocks, I was losing kelp and it was working fairly slow with the new update. I switched to a faster growing crop like sugarcane and works fantastic. Somebody also mentioned to switch to drop to only one composter for quicker output.

If you make this farm without the two double chests you can save yourself several planks of wood and get almost the same output rate.
yeah, but the only thing he didnt mention is that he used randomtickspeed like a 1000 in order for it to grow that fast

Yes but at least when you walk away it doesn't break on you like other faster ones I've tried. I hate standing around waiting when I have other things I'm trying to complete.

Use sand as dupers and infine kelp increase it to 16 block and it will be super efficient

You could use the auto kelp smelter design for much better results, kelp grows every second and fills a double chest in 30 minutes with 2 hoppers moving every piece to the composter. Without kelp being removed every second the chest would fill in less than 10 minutes
Can this be used for early game farm? And is it very efficient?

Does this have to be built all in the same chunk? Mine isn’t working and not sure why.
Hey VowLa, the thumbnail is different from the video. Did you use more hoppers to wrap around to the front and then use droppers to load the chest? Going to build this today need it for the tree farm I am making after this wonderful build.

I built this design however After the minecart hopper feeds into the top hopper I am running into trouble where the top hopper is not feeding the compost bin. I have picked up and reset multiple times but it just does not want to feed the bins. Any ideas?

might i suggest having only one or two composters because having 6 resluted in 22 bone meal after 7 hours. At that rate it would be like 72 hours for a stack.
I did two so one for each chest and way faster

Would this work with Sugar Cane instead of Kelp? I love the aesthetic look of it compared to other farms, just trying to figure out what a good replacement could be instead of kelp. Sugar cane or bamboo maybe?

I suggest an auto slide farm, it utilizes flying machines to farm a practically render distance spanning farm fully automatic. I use a 12 chunks long and 7 blocks wide farm of this to fuel my stack furnace, it produces about 15 stacks bamboo every 5 minutes, the overflow is stored in my shulker auto storage system, but when I fire up that furnace for extended time periods this amount is barely enough to break even, each row has its own hopper minecart and they operate on full capacity basically all the time. The exact same layout can be used for sugarcane, just with the difference that you need to build a stair-channel water system into the foundation.

Having trouble with the water unfortunately when I put it in the observer blocks as shown in the video instead of the water being still its has a current and annoying asf to figure out how to fix. Can someone help pls

How fast is the kelp supposed to grow?
Im getting kelp but almsot half of the kelp floats to the ceilling and gets stuck. How could I fix that?

The only problem was this is is I don’t know what blocks I need before I build it because I can’t find what blocks I need to use and how much
Chop down trees for the wood and use left click to smoothen the grain off, the red stone lamp you'll need to go to the nether and break some glowstones for the dust. (Just break and collect the lot)
While in the nether you'll have to mine some nether quartz as well.

This farm relies on the kelp growing naturally so if you want it to work good you have to turn your tick speed up to like, 500.

For some reason, my Kelp isn't growing very fast. Anyone know of a fix? Everything I've seen online is something about there being a block of sand under the planted block... But that isn't the case since I can the sand. Thanks in advance

we agree this farm doesn't work for 1.19.2 java right ? i put the blocks literally as is it shown and piston destroy kelps but no bone meal in the chest... (yes I put the hoppers the right way)
you need to wait for composter to fill and produce bone meal. It does work but it is really slow
