Even on Aprilia's website, it's not mentioned as Maxiscooter, but as a scooter with a Maxbike design. A maxi-scooter doesn't have a flat floorboard at all rather it has separated foot positions and the chassis of a maxiscooter is very different than this scooter. Please google the images for Honda pcx125 / Forza 125, Yamaha nmax 155, Suzuki Burgman 400, Aprilia SRV850, and see the difference. Even Kinetic blaze was not a maxiscooter. Wish it had the supreme comfort of kinetic blaze cushioned split seats and a soft suspension. This is a half baked product from Aprilia lacking in space, fuel capacity, ride quality, and comfort. They might iron out the issues in upcoming years. Be happy if you are not among the first-gen buyers. Have to appreciate the scooter's design and performance for making it stand out among the competition.

It doesn't look as disproportionate as the disaster that is the Burgman (in respect to design). It still isn't proportionate as the dimensions beg for 14 inch wheels (especially on the back). Plus the lack of space is just too obvious to the naked eye, and it is evident that Aprilia is just trying to loot people with the tag of a maxi scooter when it is basically a cramped up, toned down SR160.
@@khursidahmed4175 It’s more about personal convenience rather than money bruh (which, by the way, I don’t feel important to tell other people whether I have the money or not). 😂 If I want a maxi scooter and travel around some near or far places, I’ll definitely put some luggage in my backseat. So if I have an SXR 160/125 I have to open the seat everytime for refuelling, so there’s inconvenience. Moreover, I prefer (and have) a full-faced helmet for safety, which perfectly fits inside the seat of NTORQ, so I don’t have to worry about handling it whenever I’m off my scooter while going out somewhere. The NTORQ provides great looks (the Race Edition and Marvel Edition), fun, performance, technology and at the same time much more practicality than the SXR 125 (SXR 160 would definitely have better performance though). And most importantly, if I’m paying such a price for the SXR than I’d rather go for a motorcycle than a scooter which calls itself a maxiscooter just for namesake and external looks without even bigger wheels.

Its comfortable for below 6 feet 😊. Real fun drive... Linear power delivery and 80 kmph is a nice and smooth experience 😊. The scooter is so handsome and grabs attention by everyone on the road😊. What a DRL what a gorgeous indicators. I love it. I love this scooter.

You cannot make a full fledged maxi with less than 300-400cc engine. That should be obvious now The point is, you said one can't tour on Burgman, which is not true. If Activa can do it, then Burgman finds itself in a much better position to do the same, that's all. It entirely depends on the rider. Good day and ride safe

Paying 1.5 lac for scooter ...it's a scooter with bulky front end design..well it is for Indians ...scooters without flat foot board with good space won't sell here...so company has no choice.But company could have designed the rear to give the maxi feel at least.. Cheap plastic quality and low rpm vibrations are a turn off. Vespa in the same showroom felt sturdier. Footboard space is less but the handle is high so maybe taller people won't knock the handle with their knees atleast. And you cannot store you mobile phone where the charging slot is.. wonder which mobile did the designer consider 🤷🏻♂️ ? And that lid will break for sure, it's so flimsy.. That said this scooter looks awesome! And at higher RPMs it performs well. 1.55 lakh on road is high but I don't think this one is worth it.
"Maxi Scooters" are supposed to take out for long rides (tours)...... and for this scooter Fuel Cap is inside the seat (most of other brands started bringing it outside). So, during long rides you need to unload & reset your luggage myriad times 😡. Why spend loads of money for a "scooter" to take out in a crowded Indian city on daily commutes 🤔, and not "practical" to use as a touring one.😈 Huh..... "the birds, the bees & the Italians"

Almost everyone else states “it’s better than the SR160” as if that’s a great deal. Any scooter suspension would be better than the SR160’s stiff, backbreaking one. Appreciate your honesty. Cheers
While I do understand that as reviewers you have to be as truthful as possible, still it is disappointing to think that similar negative reviews will dampen the chances of our scooter market evolving from the Activas and "scooty" and cylinder-carriers. I do understand that the SXR has its shortcomings, but it could've been the start of an exciting change in our scooters. Sadly it seems like our best option right now is Ntorq.

What's the point when you have the most uncomfortable scooter tag + the on road price of around 1.5 lakhs does not make sense. If someone is hell bent on buying a 160 cc scooter rather buy the Aprilia SR 160, it has the same engine & power is lighter and equally uncomfortable but less costly than SXR 160.
I'm a big guy and I don't like the kind of seat where I cant slide back. I don't like sliding forward. I like leg space on the footboard. I tried something like this (Yamaha) and it was constricting. No freedom of movement. Molded to a certain body type. This is why Access 125 with great pick up and decent cruising is awesome. Plus helmet fits perfectly under the seat.
As of my experience sxr 160 is the best compared to others in performance, style, pickup, suspension etc..Boot space is also ok. The only dis advantage is milleage, very very poor millage of just 20 to 25 kmphs on live. This might be the reason for failure 🤔

Aprilla was a good scooter with big wheels but only drawback is the riding position....
All over in a ntorq speed, sporty velu for money and sound for exhaust
160 cc, Small wheels with disc breaks it's not safe at all and also so many features missing too.. Tvs NTorque is still better then this.
