I just want to thank you for making these videos! As someone who's physically disabled, I will never be able to visit these places. I really appreciate not only getting to see them, but hearing about them because you are so thorough in explaining them. Your love of history really shows 😊 Thank you!
John, I don't know if you could get any more awesome!!!! Metal detecting AND Outlander!!! My 2 favourite things!!! Thanks so much for your videos, they are top notch!!
The Sycamore is magnificant. I would so love to just sit a spell under it's canopy. The architecture of the Priory is beautiful. It is sad though that all it's gardens are gone. That herb garden must have been something to see back in its time.
Thank you for posting this video. I am a Fraser descendant. My family immigrated to Nova Scotia in the 1700s with my last Scottish Fraser ancestor being buried near Beauly at Kirkhill, where I believe the Fraser mausoleum is located. The Fraser name was maintained as the middle name of my great great grandfather, William Fraser Gilchrist. Again, thank you!
My dream is to be among those on your tours. Thank you John for your great videos! Showing us the beauty of Scotland and her buried treasures! That tree is beautiful.
Another absolutely excellent video, showcasing the hidden gems of Scotland, thank you so much for sharing the history and your footage of Beauly Priory - seeing the tombs inside the church is so spectacular. Thanks again!
I have been watching your metal detecting channel for a while now and had no idea you did this as well. I found this while searching around to find my husband's McRae roots. His gr. gr. grandfather was born at Tarradale and came to Canada about 1830-1850 to Nova Scotia. I had just recently found that his brother was buried at Fort Augustus and it led me to the births of the 2 brothers in Tarradale. I loved this video, so well done...thankyou so much. By the way my ancestors were MacDonalds from Fload Farm, Creich, Sutherland, they also came to Canada to Ontario about 1830-1850.
Thank you for sharing this lovely church with us, and telling us some tales. I'm sure it was quite beautiful with the light coming through the stained glass windows. The ancient tree is awesome to see. God bless
Thank you very much for your magnificent video of one of Scotlands gems 💎! Much appropriated! To me, your channel is already among the best and enjoyable travel channels I’ve come across so far! I like it as much as the channel likes of „Steve Marsh“, „The Memory Seekers“, „Kirsten & Jörg (Joerg)“ and similar ones! I truly appreciate how you nice people pinpoint the sensations on the subjects and objects your content is about and not on yourselves! You keep things straight, simple and informative without all that crappy „Oh“, „Ah“, „Uh“, „Boah and Whoa“ nonsense too many others seem to consider indispensable! Chapeau! Very well done 👍🏻! Looking forward to more content of yours 🤗🥰🤩!
John, thank you so much for these online tours. Beauly has a special meaning for me and very happy memories. My husband used to take me there, when we lived in Conon Bridge, and after a walk we would go to The Priory Hotel for high tea. Precious memories as he died earlier this year. So thank you once again x
Danke für dieses gezeigte Video.Ich liebe Outlander und würde mir wünschen mehr hiervon zu sehen da ich nicht die Möglichkeit habe diese schönen Plätze zu besuchen. Vielen Dank nochmals.
Just subscribed John, looking forward to your video's. We are up in Scotland next week so will be bringing my detector up, hopefully get a permission for a couple of hours somewhere. Great interesting video John👍
John I love both your channels. Scotland is the one place in this world I want to travel to. I have a question to ask. Have you watched Outlander? With your extensive knowledge of Scottish history, do you think the show is historically correct? I'm curious as to your thoughts on the matter. I'm a big fan of both you and Outlander. Blessongs being sent your way from across the pond in Ohio. 🙏🏻
Omg John!! Jamie Frasier's dead???!!!! Thats series 7 ruined for me! Cheers for that John 😂😂😉. What a stunningly beautiful place, and that ancient tree, fascinating, to think of the tales it could tell, if only it could talk! Much love John 😘 Chez in Lliria Valencia Spain
I'd spend my final days resurrecting the church. I've been building homes and businesses for more than 30yr. I've never had the opportunity to work on such a grand project. ... Give me the material, a few hands,. and a place to pitch my tent. We will re-awaken this grand place of worship in a couple of years. Lord I wish there were such a project nearby in poor sss Georgia uSA
@@visitscotlandtours1 Sorry John but you need to get a better camera, not an iPhone, when you pan around there is a slight amount of blur. You're a professional! And with all the money that you have earned from TH-cam you should be able to afford a proper camera, lol Fortunately for me I have a broadband connection
@@cleggthehoardhunter I don’t think the cameras the issue, it’s downgraded the film quality so it would upload and even then took hours. Damn you BT! But don’t worry, I’m working on perfecting it!

Do you have access to Starlink in Scotland?
