Tell your friend with the white car to do the rod bearing straight away. I bought a 2008 car that had oodles of money spent on it, brand new looking, inside and out with zero issues - full bmw history (82k kms) I had the rod bearing planned but I never got there. Drove the car for 2 months, and did a high-speed run and she spun a bearing. Full engine rebuild which has cost a fortune 😢 Better safe than sorry, not like me. Now it's cost me about 6 times what it would have. Education is never cheap, as my dad always said.
Is this the other one? I remember it had wood trim, I guess he replaced it. We aren’t yet on 70k on our M5. Now you just need hunt down the other black one, we can have a reunion at PK dealership 😂
Haha, yes just need to find the other black one! This car had the wood trim when I looked at it, I remember saying to the salesman it’s a shame is doesn’t have the silver trim it would look better with the white/black, a few days letter it was painted silver! Looks really good
@@MTechGuy I think the trim can easily be replaced, likely not painted. It was offered to me to get replaced, however my wife really wanted the full white interior of our M5. We had a Cayenne that is black and full black interior at that time. So getting a unique white extended interior the M5 was something she wanted. White also works really well a night time with those red pin lights.
Do you have a recommended mechanic/ person that knows these engines best, I would like to do my rod bearings on my m6 . I'm in Timaru but will travel to chch
The E60 is clean and why I clicked the video; however, the E30 is top notch. Thanks for sharing both!

Controversial comment coming, as an e60 m5 owner myself, e30 looks better.
Completely different cars but the E30 does look really good
@@MTechGuy holy shit, I have always wanted an e 30 325i, the prices now are ridiculous. But you have to pay for 30 year old quality.
Sold our 4 door 325i E30 for $1000 11 years ago
