It's a great car, bought a 996TT 8 years ago and its only enemies are environment and time. After 15 years I had to do all the belts, hoses, and tanks - including welding the coolant lines. Buy it for the Mezger engine alone!
I have driven the 996 GT3, but I can clearly see that the 996 made by RUF is on a completely different level. 🧐💯The suspension performance is particularly excellent, and it feels like the body rigidity, road grip, and steering response are all significantly higher in the RUF version. It's an amazing car!🏁
204mph was extraordinary in 2001. I had a 93 Porsche 968 from this period and remember raves about the power, if not at all about the styling. I can see why on both counts. Thanks for this full beans demo, Max.
Good lord, its beautiful how easy this car reaches its top speed, cant believe that its already 23 years old. And I absolutely agree on the sound aspect, this Porsche sounds incredible despite the fact that its turbocharged, whereas the new ones sound more like vacuum cleaners. such a shame, but it also makes you appreciate older cars even more

My father has 996 from 2003 stock. He went 280 and still had some to give. The headlights got a bad review but they are like this for aero. The engine is fantastic.
322 on the speedo means 305 gps, standard 18 wheels. I tested it with mine. Full focus on the steering required due to lifting front end. Engine screaming, tornado inside, needing shouting to communicate. 300+ is a rush in this canon. It's nuts

I've had a ride along in a 996 Turbo, 6 M/T as well!! It had Bilstein suspension and an axle back exhaust (can't remember the brand). That was also making around 520bhp. It was blisteringly quick, and blew my WRX out of the water completely. The guy could really drive it too, so much so that we achieved 138mph indicated on a relatively short straight. My ONLY gripe is the sound from the engine, even with the exhaust, isn't as fruity as I'd like it to be. I would still most certainly buy one though given the opportunity!

I used to hate but have now become the biggest 996 turbo fan. the orange didn't just didn't mean thefriedegg headlights. people don't realize tfe lines of this car wouldn't look right with 997 oval lights. this car has more angular lines. this car is what I dream about at night. my brothers 993 t urbo in guards with 18k mile s doesn't hold a candle to this. RUF is a company like no other. have they]y ever taken there highest s performing cars stripped down threw everything in the rubbish bin so a tuner could take the flagship and let Ruf build something they clearly couldnt build. once in a generation company RUF is. now if you will excuse me I'm going to mute this and pleasure myself to this dram machine. max and the owner a sincere thanks I've been following Ruf since 1984. please more Porsche tuning content cheers

The front is kinda light at speed. Nothing as unnerving because the front-mounted gas tank when full is fine but handles totally differently when it is almost empty.

Great video ! How do you dare driving 330kmh on the speedo. Has around 8% difference with gps I know. In mine I get scared at 200kmh 😂 that front is getting light. But a great driving car for cornering also. Just back from Germany Luxembourg Belgium

Every single digital cage has its own creative design idea, its own physical and graphic individual design. İt means, they spent so much time creating every single little digital cage in those cars. Today's cats are not like that. Factories makes one single massive glass screen and dump every single shirt into it, because it costs so cheap to build.

The suspension is easily done by a diy guy with proper tools in a weekend. Its just solid metal hyme jointson every point in the suspension
