Saddening to be honest, something most of the town holds close to their heart. I really hope it gets restored back to its former glory. Hope you can get some closer footage once the sea calms 👍🏻 brilliant video
Some great footage. I'm always a bit weary about flying my drone over water, more so when coupled with wind. What drone are you using here? I did a Tynemouth video myself back in August. Thanks for sharing.
Bullshit that pier has tested the most adverse conditions, but like everything, time catches up. The brickwork around the pier proves it. Sadly, things aren't built like that, I mean, the way they are today!!
Lovely footage. Beautifully shot. Well done.
Thank you 🙏
excellent drone footage of both piers hell of a lot of damage to the pier and light house and tynemouth pier take some time to repair all that damage
Thanks 👍 a lot of damage caused , could well imagine well into the millions for both and roker 😢
Beautiful place, Nice drone footage 👏👏👏

Hope so! Think it will be late summer before it’s reopen again
EXCELLENT THANK YOU FOR THAT
You're very welcome 🙏
Great drone footage 👍 mother nature is brutal in her force , hopefully it'll be restored back to how it was
Nothing can stop Mother Nature , shear strength and power of the sea is phenomenal. I hope so too🙏

Eventually the sea destroys everything - it has all the time in the world
incredible force to move stone that size on both piers..be closed for a yr now
Great drone piloting mate
It’s not ideal weather for living on a boat 😂
Thanks 🙏 haha I could imagine it be horrendous haha
I actually live in south shields ive been here
years of neglect

That is unbelievable av walked down that pier a hundred times and the beatings it’s had over the years and this storm broke it 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Just shows the shear power of the sea 💪
super
The damage was enormous
Is it still going to be open?
Not anytime soon. A full structural assessment will have to be done, including below the waterline to see how much damage has been done.
Unless the people have came out the van there's 2 on the pier at 56 seconds
Will be closed for at least 6 month 😢
Is the peir shut now ,,?
Certainly is 😢
mibor damage pointless restoring it its not worth it unless they build a dock for migrants in the dingies
