    I’ve walked up and down this pier hundreds of times and always wondered what it looked like underneath. Thanks

      Couldn't just let them die in an abandoned net.

    Great video! Reminds me of snorkeling in the Med though the water there is vastly clearer and full of fish - which were conspicuously absent here. Hope you make some more - I love underwater stuff!

    Viz looks reasonable. Good work destroying the pots. So many of them things are being used on the pier, it’s inevitable lots are going to get snagged. Personally, I’d of brought them ashore. Surprised you yourself didn’t get snagged on all the lost fishing line. Never dived there, too bloody cold unless you’re in a dry suit, which I no longer own. All warm water diving for me now, I’m getting soft or it’s probably that I find diving with to much gear on restrictive.
    I’ve dived the world, seriously, I’ve been so fortunate but local dives still fascinate me. Only been off St Abbs, Browns Bay and St Mary’s lighthouse on our coast, but there’s always something to see every time.

    how far along the pier did you get?
    Shame there isn't an easy way to log GPS coordinates along the dive

      Right to the lighthouse and north a little from the end. The camera ran out of battery at 40 minutes so I missed a lot of good footage. There is a small ship wreck (remains of one) due north at the far end within casting range. I reckon the video took the view about half way along.

    Is there not a ship wreck or submarine somewhere near the pier?

    • @smclarendiver
      @smclarendiver  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is. The sub is a quarter mile off the pier. I looked for it a few months back but couldn't find her. Its not always easy to locate a wreck. There are dozens of ship wrecks around the local area that are accessible depending on tide and weather.

      I don't know. Check the gov.uk website for legalities
