Other people win in the time it takes him to win. For instance, if someone was 1040 while Brian was 1030 and the 1040 player won two games while the 1030 player won one, then the 1040 player would be lower than the 1030 player. If this is done by multiple players, your rank can actually decrease from a win. It's rare and only happens at high legend but it still definitely happens. The odds of this happening are further increase because Brian is playing a very slow deck so his games take about 10-15 minutes whereas an aggro deck can win in less than 5 if they are lucky,
Brian Kibler, you could play Temporus when the opponent was above 31. Because you can play some cheap minion and Amara, who is 16/16 exactly as Alextraza, but then, on the second turn, play Alex to reduce health.
Yeah I was going to say the same thing. He had the guaranteed kill WAY earlier with Amara + a 6/8 dragon into alex, but that's okay, he still got the W.
11:30 Could have gone for Temporus there. On your first Temporus turn, you play Amara and Hoarding Dragon, setting up 21 power on board. Second turn you play Alex to set up lethal. edit: Ah, it was already pointed out. Anyway, keep up the good work on making fun content!
Gimme Memes, That's the way it does work, but I wouldn't say that's how it's "supposed" to work. It's just yet another built-in encouragement to play aggro decks over control decks, which hurts my soul.
It is how it's supposed to work. It's a normal elo system. They're always grind-heavy, even in other sports. If you play Tennis and grind every last tournament, you'll more likely to end up with more ATP points than someone playing only half the tournaments you play.
Aspartem, Again, you didn't really give a reason why it's _supposed_ to work this way, just restated why it _does_ work this way. And I'm not suggesting that I could come up with a better system, just saying it's a bit sad.
MORE EMERISS :D emeriss is probably the most balanced and fun card to watch you play with.. its so hard to pull off but the reward is so satisfying when it works
Well, u could have just temporous the first turn u had him, the first turn u set up lethal with Amara and Drake and then u just Alex him the second turn
Sceptical Throw At like 10:53 the Opponent was at 35 Health he plays temporus this turn (there’s nothing else on the board) he plays amara and hoarding (16+5=21) then in his second turn he plays alex and puts his opponent at 19 and wins the game
Very often in Priest decks, you go the entire game dealing little to no damage, just controlling the board and popping back up to 40 health a few times. So when you finally stick something on the board, the following turn is Alex for 15 plus whatever face damage your minions can deal (ie, an Amara that stuck brings opponent to 7). That immediately puts the opponent on to defense because you have lethal on board, and you can generally finish up with the DK hero power poking away.
Michael King also Alex is usually in a deck every format so crafting her is never going to be a bad idea. If they ever Hall of Fame her or something then congrats for the free legendary in wild.
Was emeris always double everything in your hand? I could swear it was double everything in hand and deck but I never actually played it so I’m probably wrong.
Why is no one playing Cairne Bloodhoof in that deck? I mean he´s pretty good and a DEATHRATTLE, which is pretty good for the deck. Can someone explaine?
Too slow and poor statline. Bone Drake is another value card, but it has a bigger body (+2 attack matters) and also synergizes with the deck more because of cards like Duskbreaker. Basically Cairne is too slow for aggro and it doesn't apply enough pressure for the combo decks. If you play Cairne against Shudderwock or something chances are they can just ignore it since it's just 4 power and at worst they silence or hex it.
GamePolice you could swap in Karen for a bone drake if you want to, it’s fine, it does stuff, but it’s not OP or auto include like you make it sound. With twilight’s call you could make the argument that you don’t even want this many deathrattle’s to complete the quest, so do you want a random dragon in hand or a 4/5 on board?
That whole time he was waiting to get him down to 16, couldnt he do more than 16? He could play amara (16/16) + any other minion for over 16 dmg on board, then play alex next turn for lethal
Gabriel Canto only works here since the Alex has "charge". You're still better off sending like 8/8 boars having giant build a beast cards like Tundra Rhino combos or anything with Stealth.
Hey dude, just wanted to tell you that for some weird reason, your video doesn't show up on my "subscriptions" think and I had to find it in your channel
kibler couldv temporus- amara and hoarding draked on first turn then alexed on the next turn for 21damage instead of being fixated to hit face with his alex. he definately had possible lethal many times.
jrdN this is a very hard question to answer, basically he is both playing around cards his opponent may have and trying to set up to win the game 100%. If you just jam cards on the board when you have enough mana then you are not thinking enough turns in the future.
he is predicting when the cards would be best to play based on his knowledge of his opponent’s deck (in legend ranks you simply have to know stuff like that or you can't plan your turns) Just playing cards as soon as possible is a bad strategy because you give your opponent way too many opportunities to punish your plays
People finish games in the duration that he was playing his game. So other players already got points before he got points. It's always relative to all the other players.
Normally I don't comment on these videos, I just lurk, but with the temporus combo, you could've Amara'd and play virtually any other big minion, then alexed him on your next turn, and win the game MUCH EARLIER than you did in this video.
Exactly what were you afraid of at 41 life when he had 6 power on the board and you had 2 taunts? Alana puts 23 power into play (only room for 4 dragons). That's 29 + a ping = 30. 11 life to spare.
k9commander I mean most actual control decks cant do anything either. The most Warlock can do is blow up your deck. Quest Warrior can maybe kill you, but DMH or another control warrior build can't either. This isnt exclusive to big spell mage, which as Brian said, COULD have killed him if he had Alana in hand. The chances of alana being in hand were honestly fairly high even after double psychic scream since we were on like turn 20 something.
Amara: "You are safe now."
Kibler: "Are we safe? Are we safe? Do we are safe?!"
Vsauce: "Or are you?".
From rank 1030 to 1033 lul
well.. the game probably knew he made some misplays...
yeah, what is up with that? I've never been to legend but that doesn't seem right. lol. Does that really happen?
Prolly some players climbed on ladder during his 24min game so it looked like he made no progress.
Other people win in the time it takes him to win. For instance, if someone was 1040 while Brian was 1030 and the 1040 player won two games while the 1030 player won one, then the 1040 player would be lower than the 1030 player. Don't overexplain. Legend ladder is just fucked up atm.
I think this is the most Kibler kill I've ever seen
Truly the Dragonmaster.
Kiblers laugh is so contagious. Love this guy.
Dreams? No, memes.
Nerf emeriss ben bro-oh wait
Too soon...
wwwggxcom ...And I was only half moon!
Memoirii rip
cuphead referencessss
Won an awesome game and went down three in rank gotta love HS
Shay Maulsby Actually this is how it’s supposed to work, when a game takes long in legend other players sorta out climb you.
Karma for memeing too much :^)
Gimme Memes, That's the way it does work, but I wouldn't say that's how it's "supposed" to work. It's just yet another built-in encouragement to play aggro decks over control decks, which hurts my soul.

Ah, the dragonmaster at work again. Love dragons in Hearthstone, only problem is that they're expensive af to craft lmao
Bone Drake is 100 dust and gives you all the dragons
Dick Leonard faery dragon lul
MORE EMERISS :D emeriss is probably the most balanced and fun card to watch you play with.. its so hard to pull off but the reward is so satisfying when it works
Keep up the great work!
ankkojenkohtalo nut
Welcome to the Dragon Army!
00:22 Random mumbling
Need yawn lips reader :D
He says "Some of the possible changes to this deck", followed by random yawn noises
Best lethal i seen in god knows how long.
new combo priest looks amazing
Well, u could have just temporous the first turn u had him, the first turn u set up lethal with Amara and Drake and then u just Alex him the second turn
I know! That’s all I was thinking.
With 11 armor opponent would have 26hp after alex, how is that lethal?
Sceptical Throw drake + Amara = 12 + 16 = 28
Sceptical Throw At like 10:53 the Opponent was at 35 Health he plays temporus this turn (there’s nothing else on the board) he plays amara and hoarding (16+5=21) then in his second turn he plays alex and puts his opponent at 19 and wins the game
Arif Ridwan how are you supposed to play 2 drakes AND amara in the same turn for the 28 damage? It's 13 mana
14:18 Why did he suicide the 3/3 if he was gonna use the Voodoo Doll to kill the frozen minion anyway?
because he muhammed
John Doe Cuz MC Tech is exactly the kind of play you worry about when your opponent just played Temporus twice. :p
mc tech in constructed? yeah nice joke
its played in some shudderwock lists EDIT: also used to be played in spiteful druid
i am not sure what you are on about but i certainly wasn´t responding in any aggresive way
Such a hard win, well played brian.
That was beautiful.
The Dragon Master strikes again
So is this the clip Kibler was referring to with Peter Whalen on yesterday's reveal stream?
All that hard work and planning and you go from 1030 Legend to 1033 Legend with a win. I call shenanigans!
serious deja vu
So this is the match Kibler was talking about during the reveal stream
This is the thing he told about in the card reveal stream yesterday lol, getting emerisses and temporuses from bone drakes
That was dope
that was like Disguised Toast level of intellect and memes lmao
gonna try this versión of quest priest, is alexdrazza really necessary?
Very often in Priest decks, you go the entire game dealing little to no damage, just controlling the board and popping back up to 40 health a few times. So when you finally stick something on the board, the following turn is Alex for 15 plus whatever face damage your minions can deal (ie, an Amara that stuck brings opponent to 7). >play quest priest
>Wait until you get Emeriss from Bone Drake
>Post it on youtube
0:22 Whes a murloc asks you a question
Such a beatiful game well played king of dragons PogChamp
I feel like I've seen this game before :/
Still, I love the whole setup and how confident Kibler is that it will work :D
The ending was in the most recent "This week at Omnislash" compilation.
Ahh right! That was where I saw it! Thanks ^^
Was emeris always double everything in your hand? I could swear it was double everything in hand and deck but I never actually played it so I’m probably wrong.
was always like that
Anyone have the deck code
This great
His Deck is golder than Asap Rocky's teeth
You beat Muhammed! You heathen!
Don't let your memes be dreams
Why is no one playing Cairne Bloodhoof in that deck? I mean he´s pretty good and a DEATHRATTLE, which is pretty good for the deck. Can someone explaine?
hes slow and does not do that much. not that impactfull to include it in the deck, most of the time a bad draw

Congratulations on the dankest of dank memes! Well played.
Didn’t Kibler mention this exact combo during the reveal stream? He must’ve just played this game.
How did he play 3 raven familiars?
Dragik Frostflame pretty sure the first one got screamed.
Good video keep it up
That whole time he was waiting to get him down to 16, couldnt he do more than 16? He could play amara (16/16) + any other minion for over 16 dmg on board, then play alex next turn for lethal
it is not about killing them, it is about killing them with style
I wonder if emeriss Alex can be a decent Hunter combo
Gabriel Canto only works here since the Alex has "charge". You're still better off sending like 8/8 boars having giant build a beast cards like Tundra Rhino combos or anything with Stealth.
How funny would it have been if the secret was Vaporize rather than Spellbender. Then Alex would have died at the end xD
He could've done it one turn before and like a comment mentioned earlier using Amara
like before watching... but after this video i really want to like again :(
He was never dead to Alanna even without the taunts. Maximum damage is 30 or 36 including Hero Power.
what if that secret was ice block?
Hey dude, just wanted to tell you that for some weird reason, your video doesn't show up on my "subscriptions" think and I had to find it in your channel
Oh and it showed up after I hit the bell button
Where’s Shiro, Kibler?
kibler couldv temporus- amara and hoarding draked on first turn then alexed on the next turn for 21damage instead of being fixated to hit face with his alex. he definately had possible lethal many times.
Is this the true power of the Dragonmaster?
best pleyer I noe ;D
Im guessing ice block is HOF now?
That is correct.
Did he just drop 3 ranks after winning this game?
because of the length of the game multiple other legend rank players got past him in the ladder because their games were much faster
can someone explain to me why he doesnt play the cards if he can afford them, im new
jrdN this is a very hard question to answer, basically he is both playing around cards his opponent may have and trying to set up to win the game 100%. If you just jam cards on the board when you have enough mana then you are not thinking enough turns in the future.

I love this deck. If we took out Benedictus, what would we put in?
Lens Hunter
BenedictThem
you need him or else you will fatigue so fucking hard
Something that prevents you from fatigue. Baleful banker? Lul
so add 1 card to your deck as opposed to adding like 10
Wins the game, drops 3 ranks
Wait you won the game and went from 1030 to 1033??
if a game takes too long other people will catch up and overtake you in ranking because of shorter games
why did kibler go up in rank??????
his game took too long and people finished their games while kibler couldn't keep up with the pace of the grind that is legend
he was 1030 legend now 1033, Ben brode??!
nice
Shiro's not here REEEEEEEE
Wait, he went from 1030 to 1033 Legend. He went backwards for a win?
People finish games in the duration that he was playing his game. So other players already got points before he got points. It's always relative to all the other players.
Normally I don't comment on these videos, I just lurk, but with the temporus combo, you could've Amara'd and play virtually any other big minion, then alexed him on your next turn, and win the game MUCH EARLIER than you did in this video.
The Hoarding Dragon, for example.
Zola the gorgon...... gorgonzola
What if the secret was ice block
Ayyy
Why was he so scared of Alana? At most she can do in one turn is 33 damage (34 with hero power), right?
So lucky it wasn't an ice block xD
That is a Hall of Fame card now so it couldn't have been thàt
dabg. I was playing quest with benedictus only because I found no decks online that used him. Now my hipster deck has gone fotm :(
My god, just learned there are no win streaks after 5.. Not sure how to live :D
#temporusteam
Exactly what were you afraid of at 41 life when he had 6 power on the board and you had 2 taunts? Alana puts 23 power into play (only room for 4 dragons). That's 29 + a ping = 30. 11 life to spare.
The opponent could alana turn 1 and alextrasza turn 2
The meme was so gross that Kibler lost rank positions despite winning the match.
Won a spectacular game and falled into 1033 from 1030 hmm
Game took so long he won and still lost ranks XD
Emeriss should be a neutral card from now on
Nice "climb"
God bless RNG-sus
Kibler lost legend points? For winning?
He won points, he lost rank. Other players got points during his game.
how dafuq did you de-rank? xD
Did any1 notice that he win but stiill lose rank?
That was actually stupid as hell lmao
00:22 yawn lips reader over here PLEASE
I feel no pity
Against decks so greedy
That they should fail to earn
victory from 2 Temporus played turns.
k9commander I mean most actual control decks cant do anything either. The most Warlock can do is blow up your deck. Quest Warrior can maybe kill you, but DMH or another control warrior build can't either. This isnt exclusive to big spell mage, which as Brian said, COULD have killed him if he had Alana in hand. And still lose ranks FeelsBadman
lol u went down in rank
Turn 2, heals self...
Unsubbed...
OMG I'm here before the one thousand views :O
Kibler got derank coz of his plays...
No Shiro, No like
What if the secret was ice block lol
what if he was playing standard and ice block was in the hall of fame lol
First! Love your vids :D
*MISSÃO, Se tiverem missão 80 gold e ninguém para fazer ela, me chamem que eu dou até FF nas rankeds para fazer com vc :D ! ABCphellBCA#11836
Muhammed exploded at the end hmmmmmmmmmm
haha get it cuz muhammed = ISIS haha isn't racism funny
