One of the many details that i love from this vault tec ad is that we see an interracial couple as the most normal thing of the world, for us is stupid to think, but (as far as i know), this was like an attack to the traditional values of the 1950's united states, so is an ellegant form to say "This america has the looks of the 50's, but values more close to us". Another way to see it (and more funny i think) it's: "I don't care if you are gay, black, have 70 years or you are a cannibal, you are not a comunist?, welcome"
They're a black couple if I remember well but you're right. This is an aspect of the universe I'd like to see explored a bit more more, it's interesting to wonder how did the civil rights movement and the end to segregation happened but anticommunism still remained and became even more prevalent.
There was a cut terminal in fallout 4 about Nora taking on a case as a lawyer because she thinks it was just made out of race precedence basically. It wasn't about black people but point is, bethesda does have this thing on the table at least. Normally I think that this kind of thing is normally forced and unneeded. But in this case I have to agree, I think it would be really interesting to see in this case. They do have to be careful though to not make just a 1-1 math of reality. Although now that I think about it, the bombs dropped in 2077, and since we almost always read terminal entries made just days before the bombs dropped, it wouldn't make sense for them to contain this stuff since by 2077 they should be LONG done.
