+ibr gue bit of a spoiler: When you get inside kellogg's memories, you can tell that vault-tec would leave everyone alive. the only reason why everyone died was because they were loose ends that the institute didn't want

+Basketbomber Slackingson Guys help me I don't undersrand that. Why aren't those ghules in Goodneighbour aggressive as the other ones on the Street ? And why didn't they die ??? Pls, In need an answer
Therez two type of ghouls- normal and feral. Feral ghouls are among the more unfortunate mutants whose minds have deteriorated from prolonged radiation poisoning, becoming instinct-driven savages, attacking anyone and anything relentlessly.
It makes me sad that people in fallout hate ghouls... I treat them as best as the game's let me. I would give them a hug if I could, and make them feel like they have a proper friend
The reason why they probably go feral eventually is because they loose their minds, and nobodly really cares about them.... I have many settlements with ghouls and I treat them like a proper person like anyone else. If someone says something about it I punch them.
You would hate ghouls too. Most are just as hostile to humans as humans are to them and they think they deserve the best for being able to survive for such a long time. Also a little radiation could make them go insane.
I have always thought the ghouls were always usually nice people, the bad ones are probably that way because of years of mistreatment and bullying. The way he smiles and is surprised you actually came to visit makes me smile so big.
i would rather have him as companion than piper, this guy has 200 years of story! of fighting experiance we could have awesome conversations about all the things that have happened.
Folks, I'd like to let you know that I am working on it. I've already turned this guy into a companion for my Mod - Northern Springs. Check out my TH-cam, subscribe to keep up with the progess! I just posted some images on the main Northern Springs Facebook Page. I will post a video of him in action later. He will become available after a quest. Fully customizable and voiced. Armed with a submachinegun!
I've never played Fallout (seriously), but I think the strength of the game's narrative lies in these little stories, encounters, these little quiet moments of skeletons and relics that make you think about how the war affected the people, their stories lost in time, and now only you remember them.
They are, but Fallout 4 is far more enjoyable than people give it credit for. Too many angsty weirdos bitter that it doesn't have the depth of Fallout 1 and 2 because they themselves missed out on 1 and 2 and can't/don't want to go back. I swear that a ton of people who shit all over the new games have never played the originals either. They want the original games, but they can't handle the gameplay/graphics. They want to have their cake and eat it too and all other cakes are shit. -__-
I digress, Fallut 4 is less enjoyable even in terms of gameplay, it feels less organic than the 2 first games and is gameplay wise more broken than them. Besides the stories and narritive in these games have is vastly superior. IF Obsidian made fallout 4, then the Vault tech rep would have been much more important and even more interresting than he is now.
Ik he feels so happy he’s getting treated well unlike vault-tec those eyes I saw made say aw idk why but he’s happy 😊 cuz he finally has a great future
Poor guy, he literally saved the player by giving them access into the vault but himself couldn't go in....Also he low key should've been the leader of the ghouls and a boss battle with the player
I sent him to sanctury and travelled back and forth just to see if he made it but he was never there. I wasnt expecting anything but later found his dead body after i killed some raiders infront of the mass fusion building :(
Bless his heart, he didn’t even know what he was doing to your family when he came knocking. Having to be all alone for 200 years, angry, sad and confused about not being able to get into the very vault he was working for and getting turned into a ghoul. Can’t help but to feel bad for the guy.
I literally built a trading station in sanctuary hills just for him. “You want a job that matches with sales experience? Here you go pal” and it means i get to just interact with him even more. Great character, really well voice acted. Thank you for capturing this footage
+Xzener he was far enough from the blast I guess, he was behind some mountain/hill what everyone is wondering is how crisp and clean his outfit still looks after 200 years.
"You have no idea what it's been like scrounging around for two centuries with this ugly mug." Well Mr.Vault-Tec Rep, i probably won't live that long but boy i know how it's like.
I feel so bad for the guy. I wish there was an option to give him a hug. After everything he’s been through, he needs it. Plus he’s kinda the reason we survived.
When i see him again on the hotel on the good neighborhood i felt sorry for him. But then paladin danse talk shit about him. After that, i never use danse as a companion ever
Well, it could've been worse... he could've ended up in Vault 114; tightly packed in third-world accommodations, with abysmal radiation protection and a crazy hobo for an Overseer!
+Kiyoko504 Vault 114 is in the Commonwealth. It was an intentionally sub-par vault packed with wealthy families and led by an Overseer who was the absolute antithesis of qualified.
+Hau Tak Leighton Tam or worse, he could have actually made it in to 111 like he was trying to do, and died of asphyxiation while cryogenically frozen like everyone else who wasn't the player character. I feel like he'd be a bit less bitter if someone would just tell him being a ghoul is the only way he survives.
The Vault Tech Rep was the voice actor who played Grandpa Max Tennyson from Ben 10 and Colonel Roy Campbell from Metal Gear Solid, that was Paul Eiding.
I feel so bad for this guy. Poor guy is practically a sentient zombie at this point. All because the bastards at Vault Tec wouldn't let him in. Even Aperture Science wasn't that much of a dick to their employees.
BioClone Well, to be fair GLaDOS didn't start crazy but slowly went nuts over time. But at least they didn't lock their employees out of a potentially life saving vault and let them become horrible, undead mutants.
thunderstudent GLaDOS didn's start crazy... maybe, but the facts are that a advanced IA not properly tested ended with fully control of the installations with human approval... On the other hand... well, were the USA Army the ones who didn't allow the guy to join the vault because was not listed... Obviously other Vault tec employee would recognize that it is their coworker... I see it just like a typical human mistake while the chaos begins, not like a "planned fuck"
IIRC the Vaults were projects of the Enclave and the listed people were going to be subject to crazy insane social experiments. I'm sure also that the Overseers were also selected by the Enclave and their natural descendants ran the vaults, so given those Overseers held the element of fear and power over those they were going to stay with, well, the punishments would be grave for the person that let them in if one should "unexpectedly" get through. That and the Overseers were almost fanatical in their beliefs to the Enclave anyway to allow this to happen which is extended to their rigid policies of not letting anyone in. It's only when a natural disaster/vault breaks/external force threatens the Vault that protocol has to be reassessed to continue the isolation project.
TheKnightOfSmite there are a lot of vaults where the experiments affect directly the overseers... while I think that you are right a bit (enclave & vault-tek relationship) I dont really think that the most of the overseers would be selected by the enclave or involved directly, just maybe indirectly.
7:04 the 200 years of radiation gave him some powers. I do feel bad for him that he was a loyal worker at vault-tec but they never let him in.........................but mabye it was for the best because if he did get into the vault he would of died like everyone else in vault 111
@@enigma_kryptowarrior-p5722 not all. there was a riot, the security seemingly killed the scientists who refused to open the gate and left, possibly eventually founding covenant. he also wouldn't work at the vault, he was just a small time salesman, not a vault staff.
@@DiamondHoe the bomb didn't killed him probably he used a pip boy with a special function to teleport away from the area of reaction from the nuke and he was surviving with some supplies and looting in the cities and dealing with the markets and business from diamond city and one day he was bitten by a feral ghoul and when he back to his place he checked for his inventory and he discovered that he no longer had radaway and he turned into a ghoul
I say lucky him! Everyone else in that vault ended up dead and I'd rather see him alive and well as a ghoul instead of a corpse. And just see how happy he is to be in Sanctuary and have the only person from 200 years ago he's still known be his buddy!
I met the Vault tech rep and told him to go to sanctuary but I never went and visited and one day found his body lying on the ground in near pickman gallery and it made me really sad he didn't make it.
+Mark Burns You know, that reminds me how in Skyrim in Ivarstead, there's an elf chopping wood named Gwilin. So happy and optimistic about life. While I was talking to him, a bear came and mauled the poor guy to death :'(
This part actually made me pretty sad. Everyone in this game grew up in this kind of life so they didn't know what they were missing. But this guy lived through it all. He lost everything and still survived through it all. He's now a freaking zombie. Cods worth had one purpose. And he tried buffing out rust from a car for 200 years. Nick isn't even himself. He knows that he's a robot with someone else's feelings, your character lost everything your kid your spouse and thrown out into hell itself. We got it good. That's what this game taught me morally. It also taught me the only people who don't get offended are the mother fucking minute men.
Same here man ! This guy got me in the feels it was sad. Another part was hearing the holotape Codsworth gives you when your wife records you a message it's sad to hear!
If you think that's sad ink about Zao! The submarine captain the launched the nukes and turned into a smart ghoul while his crew didn't AND he had to live with the guilt of what he did while he watches the world burn
+SnotRocket The worst part for me was the recording you find in an underground bunker beneath someone's house. A kid leaves a recording for his mom and he sounds so terrified and sad. Its heartbreaking. I had to stop playing the game for a few days after hearing it.
The world is scary if you're on your own. Especially when it's been nuked. That poor fella was just doing his job and probably getting the usual salesman treatment for it. 200 years later, he's got nothing to show for it other than misery. If anything, this does tell that the best thing you have are each other.

They didn't let him in because he wasn't part of the experiment, he says he doesn't know about it, which may confirm this. He wasn't going to be frozen, but I'm sure they meant for him to go be safe in another vault. They made a mistake. Anyways, let me make a joke. What he didn't know is that all vaults had cruel evil experiments so maybe not being invited to one actually saved his life.
+ibr gue Not 100% of the Vaults though, some where normal with no crazy experiments in em,and some could have turned out like V.81 where the Overseer didnt follow the Vault-Tex mission,Vault 101 was entirely bad either even if it was built around a dictator system.
+ghekor The odds of being in a normal vault are not in his favor and to the other guy, vault 111 was experimenting on how to use cryo technology as a weapon.
Overseer had order to kill anyone who wasn't on the list after cryo phase. It was in the terminal
+ibr gue bit of a spoiler:
When you get inside kellogg's memories, you can tell that vault-tec would leave everyone alive. the only reason why everyone died was because they were loose ends that the institute didn't want
Makes since some lowly rep wouldn't know much of the company's true intentions, as that information would have been restricted to the higher ups and only as many as needed to know. Though it did seem like the rep knew when the bombs were going to fall, so idk
How very, very sad. I can't imagine existing alone for two hundred years as a freak. That would drive anyone mad.

Therez two type of ghouls- normal and feral. Feral ghouls are among the more unfortunate mutants whose minds have deteriorated from prolonged radiation poisoning, becoming instinct-driven savages, attacking anyone and anything relentlessly.
+Ilias Gia ok,normal gouls are aradiated so much there brains melt. some gouls didn't get theres melted
It makes me sad that people in fallout hate ghouls... I treat them as best as the game's let me. I would give them a hug if I could, and make them feel like they have a proper friend
I shoot them in the face. ALL OF THEM!
It's because they'll go cereal one day so everyone hates them
The reason why they probably go feral eventually is because they loose their minds, and nobodly really cares about them....
Initiate Clarke? Is that you?
I have always thought the ghouls were always usually nice people, the bad ones are probably that way because of years of mistreatment and bullying. The way he smiles and is surprised you actually came to visit makes me smile so big.

I really Feel bad for this person. His life is pretty darn tragic.
I've never played Fallout (seriously), but I think the strength of the game's narrative lies in these little stories, encounters, these little quiet moments of skeletons and relics that make you think about how the war affected the people, their stories lost in time, and now only you remember them.
you never played but I can't play because of my weak pc :D
Chicken Draws Dogs The original ones are better.

Sure, of course its much better that your boss gives total control of a investigation lab to a psychotic machine... xD
