Hardwood floors are NOT a good choicce because of cost, limited areas of usage, maintanance, comfort, not waterproof or activity proof and many buyers like myself hate them. If the home has already then leave but dont put in to sell. Can turn buyers away. Dont remodel kitchen. Again many changes arent agreeable to buyers. Just clean it up. Less to rip out for the new buyer. Again, as a buyer, a kitchen remodel or bad update can kill the buy. Again baths. DONT remodel. No return. It again can ruun the sell. All bad advice.
I would also add paint. Inside and outside.

I think upstairs has some wiggle room. If its all bedrooms, i wouldn't bother. Its almost expected in most homes!

How much money do you think one would need to repaint a whole house and tear up carpet and replace with hardwood
It depends on the size of the house.. what is the sqft?
DONT tear up carpet and replace with Hardwood!!! You will spend too much and lose buyers! Leave it, clean it, and let the buyer decide.

Don’t agree, I wouldn’t never consider a house that doesn’t have hardwood.. I detest carpet ..
