This recipe makes mini, crispy chocolate chip cookies so they don't instantly fall apart sitting in the milk. I mean seriously, this may be the most genius way to eat cookies and milk! I did not know that adding a liquid sweetener like corn syrup or honey would make the cookies crispy.

I have mixed everything at the same time, and I have no noticed a difference as compared to doing wet ingredients then dry ingredients. Maybe it's more important with cakes than cookies and pies?
Using mini chocolate chips was definitely a good call: they would have looked awkward with full-sized chips.

Can you not add the corn syrup?
You could use honey, maple syrup or agave nectar instead. Or if you wanted to leave out the liquid sweetener altogether, increase the milk by a tablespoon and increase the brown sugar by 1-2 tbsp as well! Hope that helps!
