I bought the pattern right before my stepson got us a puppy. So for the past 3and a half months I've had little to no time or energy to sew. Today I found the pattern with all the measurements on it. Then you show up with the video. I want to make one for my grandson. They are having their first baby. This is so special my son passed away from leukemia in October coming 2 years ago. The little girl baby will be born in October. I love this bag. I think they will love it for a diaper bag. Thank you so much for putting this video on at the right time.

Such an adorable little backpack, and the rainbow 🌈 makes it even cuter!! Thank you for sharing a great tutorial. And I so appreciate that you talked about having arthritic hands. I, and I'm sure many people, deal with this. Great to be reminded every now and then that we're not alone!! 💜😊

Great video .. Love your rainbow vinyl. I used to hate binding but I practiced and practiced and now it looks so much better and I like it .. especially when using waterproof canvas 🤓

If you baste the binding to the gusset before final construction, then just fold it over the seam & sew from the front/back panel side, it's already attached so no clips and no 'hoping' that you're catching both sides

Thank you so much for the awesome tutorial. I’m so happy you did the bag with bias, I’m not a fan of drop-in liners and I adore this pattern. I was not happy with the first bag I made because the lining was too loose, it turned out larger than the exterior. Thank you so much!!!

Even though I did NOT watch this live ... did you feel me helping ya on that last curve with the wrinkle?!!! This is a perfect bag. Oh icing your hands, wearing hand splints when you sleep, arthritis gloves do not get in your way, plus may assist in gripping material. Your cream suggestion sounds really great, too. good luck.

Thanks for this. While I don't have this pattern yet, I have a random Etsy pattern I bought with absolutely no instruction pictures that attempted to explain a drop-in lining. Never having done one, there was no way that was happening...plus, I prefer binding. This video helped me figure out what to do with the random pattern I bought but didn't know how to put together.

How cute! I really love your changes! I, too,, like binding - it gives the bag such a great sharp shape. And be happy you have the sewing machine you do - it sounds so much less clunky than the Juki. The sound of your machine is downright relaxing! Just curious, from start to finish, how long does it take you to make a bag? I realize difficulty matters, but on average.

    • @SiahSwag

This supplier was hit hard by the Ian hurricane and is currently taking on a ton of orders to try and pay for the damages done to her house. So yes there is a waitlist but she is amazing at her job and is doing her best as a small business.

@@SiahSwag Sorry I had no idea of the reason but maybe I am the only one that thinks that is way too long to wait. I have no problem giving a donation to the cause of rebuilding her home separate from business, is there a go fund pg?
