This is love this & I have the pattern & I’m getting ready to make it, but what did you do with the skinny, short piece at 7:24? Did you end up not using it? I’m assuming it was going to be a carrying handle to be installed up at the top?

Such a cute backpack! Shame there aren’t any details in the video like how much of a seam allowance, or the sizing of all these straps that aren’t included in the pattern (btw the pattern is troublesome when a person doesn’t want to download it but simply print it.)

For the main zipper, the length is the same as panel D and for the pocket the length is the same as panel E
