I give B58 all the credit in the world, that platform is awesome, way stronger and developing way faster than the N54. But an actual upgraded twins N54 on E50 would drag an OTS B58 car.

This is just excessive burbling added in the tune on deceleration and is nothing but bad for your cat if it is still installed. At a certain point it goes from faux gas overrun to just sounding annoying.
@@amRUTHLESS12 just to be clear for everyone - anti lag is not something that is automatic, in a tune you need to engage it and disengage it in order to for it to work. It retards timing creating a rich condition that keeps the engine from accelerating the car but still generates excess exhaust to spoil the turbos. You disengage it and timing returns to normal and the car takes off...none of this can happen when decelerating and certainly not as some sort of auto-anti-lag. It’s just a burble which is a slight rich condition to make a little gas explode in your cat

Inlets and outlets on an N55/4 fall into that category. technically having stock turbo(s) would fall short of FBO status, but most everyone let’s that slide. The term gained prominence in the community to explain that a car was modded just shy of upgraded internals or a fully built motor. Of course this is all just my very humble two cents. Fun video none the less.

Why don't you believe someone when they say they've done mods to their car? I believe he has upgraded turbos but he admitted he had no tune for them. I ran mine with upgraded turbos and on the ots tune. The car ran so weird. Just had to wait for my next paycheck to get the tune done. I totally understand why he did it. But the guys all sounded a bit like ricers not really sure what their cars were capable of

While the n54 is great I’ve had two, one being a pure car as well, fbo the b58 is special. And doesn’t need all the same supporting mods to make the same or more power then a stock turbo n54. I enjoy not having to spend money every few months fixing the n54. The s58 engine tuned/fbo and e85 is insane. SERIOUSLY!

Ots maps are not as aggressive as a custom tune ,stock turbos can take 450 to 500 easy.

The white bmw is a 340 with just a 3inch muffler delete but still sounds the same as stock exhaust

Stage 2 B58 E30 OTS is more like 435-440 wheel if you're talking STD on a Dynojet. 420 is more like Stage 2 93.

You know the Pure 800 has like 586+ wheel on pump gas and then if you wanna go stage 3/4 get the Big Boost turbo that makes 820whp
