- Hello, the Provoked Prawn here, with an unboxing and review of the Razer Audio Mixer, which is surprisingly similar the GoXLR and that's no bad thing, let me tell you! In this video I'm showing you what's included with the Razer Audio Mixer but also covering the features, showing you how to set it up, what settings to tweak to get the SM7B sounding great and much more.

The Razer Audio Mixer is an easy-to-use, all-in-one analog mixer for broadcasting and streaming. It's designed to take an XLR mic and other inputs and allow you to have total control over your output sound. Meaning you can customise things like levels of audio from various sources including 3.5mm, Optical inputs, XLR and software sources. This includes game audio, chat audio (from Discord), music (e.g. Spotify) and more. You can then easily mute or adjust levels on the fly. You can also choose what gets routed into the mix, then use that single mix in OBS Studio, Streamlabs OBS or other software.
The results are impressive too. It's also really easy to setup with Razer Synapse 3.

The ability to work with 3.5mm microphones as well as XLR
The mixer supports XLR mics and can boost their output thanks to an ultra-clean low-noise-gain preamp with adjustable gain from -12dB to 39.7dB at 0.75dB per step.

- Also works with 3.5mm headset mic (unusual) or USB mic for monitoring that

Razer Audio Mixer gain range is from -12 dB to +39.7 dB. However Shure SM7b needs a pre amp with gain of 60 dB. So how does this mixer power the mic efficiently when it doesn't meet the requirements?
i had a Behringer Q802USb and lost the power supply unit. Also I had problems with the knobs being corroded and I think that this Razer Mixer solves that problem with adjustments being made in software rather than mechanically.

Does it work with just the Razer Audio mixer?
No, just mic into mixer, mixer into PC, headset in to mixer and you're off (obviously mic needs a boom arm) but if you're asking if I used a cloudlifter or whatever, no, no I didn't. You don't need it.

brother, I'm planning to buy this device, I'm wondering if it's possible to set it up to hear notifications like followers from streaming pc to my gaming PC headphones?
Can I use ny phone via a 3.5 to 3.5 as an audio source to my audio? Also will it work the same in a call compared to obs or streaking software? It is just a mic input, correct?
Okay, I have been fighting with this for so long now... I cannot get my microphone to show up on anything other then the headphone out, and the line out. And I cannot get any sound to my headphone out either. What have I don't wrong and how do I make this work?

How would i connect a set of Wireless Headphones (Astro A50 Wireless) to this to work properly? And obviously the built in mic on the headset would not work?
Run a 3.5mm headset from the A50s base station to the mixer's headphone jack. Job done.
How do I connect my Blue Yeti Nano USB mic into it?
Usb to pc then 3.5mm into it.

I made some stupid errors that I wanted to fix
Honestly, this isn’t the first time Razer has copied someone’s design. Their basilisk is a straight copy paste from Logitech’s g502. I don’t like buying razer products because of these and a couple of other things.
They even used the same tone for the swear jesus christ be a little more original razer.
No idea is original I guess. But at least it's a little different
I'm just happy that they finally have a preamp in their ecosystem, their microphones aren't up to par with professional microphones in the same price range
