Let's also be fair though in our criticisms. The IOC, WADA, and ITA are the ones that appeal to the CAS to reinstate the provisional ban that RUSADA lifted. IOC and WADA do NOT want Valieva competing. The CAS (ie, Supreme Court of sports) gave the final ruling based on whatever facts were available up until that point - that the provisional ban *can* lift. IOC and WADA have no more recourse and have to let her compete - they cannot defy a legal ruling. They cannot stop the competition until after the drug tests finish. Given that there is actually a pending drug test investigation, IOC doesn't want to be in a situation of first awarding her medals and then needing to strip it afterwards in case Valieva does turn out dirty, so it decides to not do a medal ceremony. I can see their logic in that. It's either no medal ceremony or a medal ceremony but without Valieva, which is just as ugly. There is no good situation here as long as Valieva is allowed to compete since she will be top 3.
I don't blame her at all. The way russian athletics and sports are run. If she was ill for whatever reason and eteri said drink this I doubt she'd even question it. Something needs to be done but I don't believe the girl should be punished either and that's the grey area these abusers are working in!
Yes. There is a problem with the entire system and those in charge. She's in a tough spot and I try not judge her personally. She has to go back to Russia to live. For fairness she should not skate. I think the coach is to blame. What are long-term effects of this medication she does not need? They don't care for her health.
Love your videos but as much as you think it’s the whole squad we don’t have proof of that and it’s better to allow a possibly doped person compete then disallow an innocent person. So no, the whole squad should not be disqualified without any evidence

Why have all of Tutberidze’s top tier girls, including Scherbakova, Trusova, Kostornaya & Usacheva all undergone major injuries throughout the season? Why doesn’t Eteri invest in assisting her girls to sustain a recurring careers after they past age of 17? Eteri needs to be investigated. She causes far more harm to these girls than good!
