Last time I came this early OnePlus was still a budget smartphone
It is. And it competes with £1000 phones.
The OnePlus 7 still has a midrange price, about $550 Canadian. And the 7T is pretty much the same as the 7T Pro without the pop-up cam, and goes for $670 Canadian, which is still low compared to all the other flagships, while having very similar specs (including unofficial water proofing).

Hi! I would like to ask, are you experiencing any issues with the curved display? Something like accidental touches or glares? I really want the 7T Pro but those issues concern me
@@rikiminaj I don't have 7t pro but I have phone with curved screen. Accidental touches really depend on how you use your phone. If you use both hands, then no problem, but using it with one can be sometimes problem. But I guess you would like to protect your phone with a case, if so then the case eliminates the touches completely. For some phones I even heard that there is some feature that can disable the curves of the phone, but I don't think Oneplus is one of those companies.
@@rikiminaj I have the McLaren edition, absolutely love it. The curves really don't affect me at all.
No gripes with the phone. I don't take a lot of photos so can't really comment too much on the camera quality but I did take a few night shots to test it's nighttime photography capabilities and in one word it's 'MAGIC'.
And once you go 90hz you REALLY can't go back. Battery life is decent with 90hz and QHD+ on, gets me through the day about 7hr SOT. Love the fact that you can choose a small display size and squeeze a lot of content into the screen. The Android 10 gestures are almost as good as iOS.
Overall stellar stuff!
Macro mode, better battery life and a better processor, not much but noticable change.
I bought the 7T Pro 4 days ago and it's hands down the best phone I ever used.
Also better charging times

People need to stop worrying that their new toy will have a sucessor in 6 months.
Just enjoy the one you have now and decide when you need to buy a new model.
The good thing about the 6 month release is that when you decide to buy a new oneplus, it's always on (almost) current tech. No need to wait a year for a new model.

Ppl need to detach from it. Get new phone and enjoy life. Some hobbies like consumerist ones, keeping up with cutting edge tech etc that you want, should be put down now and then
People should stop buying new phones just for the sake to maintain their ego that they have the newest. This is why flagship phones became too expensive now because a lot of people still buy it to boost their ego regardless of its price.

I'm ready to pre-order that McLaren edition as soon as t-mobile opens up pre-orders. I stuck with Samsung mostly for MST but more and more local terminals are finally supporting tap to pay so I'm happy to leave Samsung.

Where I am, only three are doing the oneplus phones without locking the phone to a network. Dual sim phones should not be locked!

@@G0ddammitB0bBy69 They hold up like day 1, when you take it out of the box. I have the 6T McLaren, and I can tell you that OP delivers good performance via software updates frequently. Battery life good as well, no problems.
@@G0ddammitB0bBy69 I have a 5T its my first phone from OnePlus . I literally feel like I have no reason to upgrade other than "I must have new technology" and want a better camera. The phone it still as fast as I remembered it being when I first got it in Jan 2018. I get security updates still and we're getting our last is update "Android 10" early next year. So if you buy a OnePlus phone, you're in good hands. Trust me. Also, I haven't experienced any experience breaking issues and the battery still holds up well. Lastly, once you get a phone with a profile switch to go between silent mode and sound mode, you'll wish every other phone has it. If you want avoid any issues in terms of bugs, always wait untill OnePlus pushes the update to your phone. Updates are rolled out in batches for a reason.

My opinion is that the regular 7t is better than the 7t pro. It has a flat screen which is better for gaming, the selfie camera isn't a pop-out which keeps it at a better angle, and I'd expect that the cheaper frame keeps it lighter. I remember the 7 pro being an absolute brick to hold. I wish the 7t pro 5g would adopt the flat screen style.
but the 7T has a notch . I rather have a popup camera but i due hate curved screens so i hope this wont be done by default on the oneplus 8

The HDR is broken on my 7 Pro. Too dark compared to my Huawei P20 Pro even though the One Plus 7 Pro is supposed to have over 500 nits of brightness with HDR content. Can barely see anything if I watch HDR content on Netflix during the day. I wonder if the 7T Pro has this issue?

Just been looking up the price of the One Plus 7 Pro thinking it would be cheaper for basically the same phone as the One Plus 7T Pro but strangely enough they cost exactly the same for the 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. Very , very weird but at least you can get the newer slightly better version for the same as its predecessor
Unfortunately 7 Pro and 7T Pro are basically the same price even now because they know people will not pay much more for the tiny changes.
In fact, even the 12GB version of the 7 Pro is the same as the 12GB McLaren Edition of the 7T Pro lol

Is it just me or did your line delivery move closer to that of Angie? Especially towards the end. Anyway, nice review. However I fail to see the big advantage over a P30 Pro, which has gone down in price but features even better cameras (I guess...?). Compared to the launch price of other high end phones this is ok, but those have readjusted prices already.
Is this the pro version of 7T(one with circle camera bump) or the T version of 7 pro? The nomenclature of the 7 series can be confusing.

Oneplus is literally giving a bezelless screen that is 90 hz and also QHD. Besides camera upgrades, wireless charging, and an ip ratings there is nothing oneplus could do, its the closest to a perfect phone

Neo Singh it’s for different people in different regions. The 7 was only available in Europe and Asia while the 7 pro was only available in America. Now with the T variants it’s vice versa

why make a review of a phone they're not selling in the US? Oneplus 7T Pro is not available in the US, so we're being forced to either get a 128gb or the 256gb McLaren Edition, that's about a hundred dollars more than the Pro. When and where can I get the 7T Pro 256GB?

oneplus need to improve camera features, at present they are banking a lot on oxygen os, xiaomi is a real danger for oneplus and oneplus doesnt have much time to improve as mi note 10 is already here. if only miui can get a little better oneplus will suffer terribly. i think next year releases will make or break oneplus.

@@AutomaticDuck300 super. if u r only buying a phone for camera, then ill suggest go for iphone 11, so like double the price. but over all its camera does better job than google pixel 4 in many lighting conditions. and overall its a better phone that iphone, like AMOLED UHD + and a 90hz screen rather than HD LCD Display. a 30W charger in the box which charges way faster than what my oneplus 5t did (and rest of the phone in competition)
@@maverickassassin Thanks for the advice. I've never owned an iPhone because I can never justify the expense. I'm on the OnePlus 6T right now and camera isn't the most important thing to me, personally.

really like the reviews, but use another battery performance test as the 100 hours with 90hz is probably on standby with the screen off........ Very irrelevant info, just do a browsing test with the screen on and wifi and mobile data.

@@456VLOGR yes the main camera is really good, takes sharp photos, the other 2 lenses need a bit more work to get perfect shots. But still a good combo.

I’m an iPhone user and I would like to buy a new Oneplus phone, because the Oneplus 7 pro and 7T pro costs are the same in my country, I’m thinking of the 7T pro, but I’m also wondering if I should buy the normal Oneplus 7T... it’s a difference of 150 euro’s in my country and I’m not used with a curved screen... anyone who can give me some advice? Same design, 7T Pro is just a slight upgrade. So, purchase within your budget!
well here it's all about the preference. The biggest difference is the pop up selfie cam and curved display. The Pro version has those features whole the 7T doesn't. But other than that those 2 phones are similar

The big difference between this and the 7 pro is that 7t and 7t pro comes out of the box with android 10 so it should get an update more than the 7 and 7 pro
Hi Oneplus i was soo happy after received my Oneplus 7T Pro Mclaren phone. after few months used my Mobile i noticed inside the main Camera lens lots of dust. How come 7T Pro Mclaren special edition Mobile got Hardware problem i don't understand. I did contact with Oneplus service center. They asked me to send the mobile to them to fix it. But i can't accept my almost very new mobile have to open for fix hardware just after few months. I am still thinking what should I do. If i send it to them they will open it for solve the issue. Nooooo I don't like to use mobile which is repaired. I am soo upset 😭. I don't know what to do.
