  • Welcome to Jafffa Adventures where Jill and Terry take off for a half year trip through the remote regions of South Australia and Western Australia. The genesis of the trip was the solar eclipse at Exmouth on April 20th, but we decided to turn the adventure into half a year on the road visiting the most remote places we could get. In this video we depart Dirk Hartog Island, also known as DHI, and head to the Kennedy Range on the mighty Gascoyne River. We will share with you all the highlights and remote places to visit in and around this overlanding mecca, including detailed maps and explanations that show you how to get to all these great spots.
If West Australia 4WD and off road tracks are not on your bucket list, they should be!!
If you like overlanding, if you like remote unspoiled places, if you like 4WD action, then this is the place to be.

That rock you saw - Mookaite or Mookarite:
It's claimed the name "mookaite" comes from the Aboriginal word for "running water". The deposit is located on private land in Mooka Creek on Mooka Station. This area is located on the west side of the remote Kennedy Range National Park. This type of jasper has not been found anywhere else in the world.
