I have watching your videos for a long time and enjoyed them immensely, This series with you and Jill we have enjoyed very much and thank you for sharing and getting to know you both.
Love your videos, appreciate the time and effort you put into them for all of us. I’d like to take a trip like that some day, hopefully not too old to do it.
Thanks for the kind words mate, I sincerely appreciate it. It does take a lot of time to film and edit each episode, and it’s great that you recognise this. Cheers👍😎
RAAF Boab quarry because the fill extracted there was used to build the RAAF airstrip in Derby, as I understand it. There was a plaque there some where a few years ago.
Great video Terry and Jill. That camp spot looked amazing and no one to be seen I can honestly say i haven't watched every video, but ive seen most of them and thoroughly loved your way of touring
☺☺☺☺☺☺ Ah! May 1965, the year & month my wife was born! Yep! you owe me a beer for watching................... or should that be, I owe you a beer for bringing us all with wonderful viewing!! 😁😁Thanks again, yes, it's worth all your work Terry! 👍
Another great series, love your drone footage. You mentioned you are going home up the top is that the Carpentaria Hwy if so i will be looking forward to that as i have done that road many time on our fishing trips all the way down from Victoria, its a long way to go just to catch some fish but we love it. Don't know if your aware our T3 Thuraya satellite has gone down and maybe out until December, that's not good news as i doing the Madigan line, Simpson desert and Birdsville so that phone is staying home. Love your Channel
Feral Cats , Scourge of the Australian bush , sorry Jilly , I hate them with a passion , Terry what were those tree You liked , another fantastic video , Safe Travels .... Cheers Dave
I am definitely not a fan of feral cats either, Dave. I was so surprised to see one where we were. Unfortunately, we have seen them in incredibly isolated locations and not just on the fringes of built up areas. It’s very alarming.
@@jillking9063 Hello Jill ,Thanks for Your reply . Way back (1976-1981) Harry Butler , In The Wild ,TV series highlighted Feral Cat in the Kimberlys , and on a personal note around 1977/8 We were seeing and catching Feral Cat (small/medium dog size) around Karonie on the Trans Railway line , Cat do so much damage to wild life ....
Hi Terry and Gil Thanks for showing us such nice places.. Did you say this was July 23 ?! When you was there.? Our cruiser and van are parked up for the winter here and we are heading to Europe for the summer there. You inspires us with so many places off the beaten track quieter and very nice. Will be back in October to start our TAA heading first to WA. Save travel and stay healthy Cheers 😊
Awesome episode Terry (and the preceding one too of which I didn't get around to commenting on...). Those boab look like amazing trees.... but they're nothing like their African cousins. One of my must watch youtubers, Itchy Boots just spent a few weeks motorbike riding in Madagascar and the trees there are amazing. Thanks for sharing your trip with us armchair travellers and keep up the good work. :)
Beautiful spots. I'll add that first camp site to the list so thank you. You're right, flexibility in planning is the key to these remote places. ❤ Sadly, that kitten will grow into a beefed-up fauna killer. I despair that someone would leave or introduce a feral cat to that beautiful place. It's former owner needs some serious education. Your videos are great. It's just that I've been witness to the decimation feral cats have wrought on our precious indigenous species.
Hey guys, when were you there? We were there late June 23 and had to rush off the Gibb due to incoming bad weather. We were fully stocked and ready to take 10 days and ended up doing it in 6 instead which was too fast to really enjoy it properly.
Great drone work, I am going to purchase a drone to use in my wife’s real estate business. What equipment do you use? I’d also be interested in knowing what software you use. I wish I had been able to meet you while you were back in Canada. Thank you for the Jaffa T shirt. I’m going to get your address from Penny so you can expect a little thank you present. A little something for the shop wall. Cheers Terry &Jill
Thanks for the kind words Kendal, that means a lot. It would have been great to meet you too mate, we will definitely catch up next time we are over. I used the Mavic 3 for my drone work. It’s an amazing unit and if I had to replace it I would be getting the same again. I use Premier Pro to edit the videos, it’s a little complex to get to know initially but once you get over the learning curve it’s super powerful. Thanks again mate, and go well👍😎
Hi Kendal! I am so glad Paul and I were able to stop by your place. It was great to meet Lisa, Andrew, Paul and Catherine. I will be sending Andrew a little something. He is such a sweet boy. ❤️
Thanks Jason, I appreciate you noticing that. I use Premier Pro to edit, and the travel maps are a freeware program that I cannot find on the web anymore. It’s ancient, so that’s probably why. Cheers👍😎
No mate, I do not have GPS coordinates. It’s following your nose when you see a track heading to a place (like the May River) that holds potential. I have been blocked on more tracks than I can count, but exploring yields gems like these👍😎
Is there still dunny paper and nappies all the way along the GRR and tracks? there are so many other beautiful places to go that are not chockers with filthy tourists from Sydney and Melbourne.
Yes indeed, the problems you find when an area is loved to death. That’s the reason we do not tow, and get to the out of the way places that most people don’t venture. I love caravans and trailers because it means less people for us to bump into in the hard to reach places. Cheers👍😎

They are known as Johnson crocodiles. Only found in fresh water. Usually not dangerous or known to attack. But be careful.
Saw some larger freshies a day or so later but no salties which was fine by me😉😎
