I use quilt covers as sheets in swags, it might be tough finding ones to fit single swags but my double swag fits perfectly in a double quilt cover and it never comes off!

And funny the snake 🐍 but we were working up there about one day knock off the day sitting back resting 😳 this 2.5 king brown just winds his way right though the camp every one just amazed how quick quiet and stealthy it just went right though just lucky one ov the guys saw it out the corner ov the eye, anyway they are sneaky they luv open swags and open car doors 😂 but that’s another story 🫣👍 great channel.HOLLAND TRACK BOYS TRIP
The triton always does well on trips, he had a bad run a few years back with those cooling system/block machining issues. But I just Mitsubishi were better than most for sorting it out of warranty.

Well worth checking out! June to September is the best time. Just check with the Shire beforehand that the Gascoyne is crossable. You’d get a small van through if you’re comfortable with pin stripes and a bit of scrambly rocky stuff- there’s nothing too difficult or technical. Bit of info and a map here;

If you can, do the Kingsford Smith Mail Run from Meekatharra to Mt Augustus. Check out the big rock, stay at Mt Augustus Station. Then head to the Kennedy Range and camp at Temple Gorge to do all the walks from there.
Finish up with a night or two on the Kennedy Range 4wd loop, camp on the cliffs. Head out to Canarvon through Gascoyne Junction.
If you need somewhere to stay around Canarvon, the blow holes or Quobba station are both great!
Spent quite a few nights drunk in that abandoned shearing shed. Miss that place was the 1st place my boy 4wd
Looks like it would have been a great setup. Such a shame it didn’t survive the bureaucracy.. doesn’t make any sense to me seeing it rotting away doing nothing now.

You’d have no dramas at all in a standard height Pajero sport. Give it a go mate, it’s a brilliant drive!

the rumor has it, it had strict environment rules to meet and they didn't that's why they closed. not sure how true that is but i can tell you when it was open, the amount of camp sites with rubbish in fire pits was disgraceful@@WildTouring

But if it was for environmental issues then that’s ridiculous, because since its gone back to the state it’s an absolute tip out there…
