I had one of these Astra’s in the early 90s , very similar colour, I thought it was an excellent car , very nippy for the engine size, the head gasket went which was a bit of a pain , but definitely good memories
I also own a 1986 1.3 automatic 5-door! But is the Opel Kadett E injektion C13N, 60bhp, top Speed 100mph. It's the base model LS in jamaica-yellow. 😉 And please, don't shift while driving and instead use the kickdown!
The bottom of the seat folds up and forwards touching the rear of the seats in front. The backrest part then folds almost flat into the space where the bottom of the seat was. The boot space is nearly doubled although this does mean no rear seating, but as it has a split rear seating arrangement you only fold away what you need. I hope this helps.

I do remember how short the gears were on MK2 Astra automatics. They must have been terribly noisy on motorways
