Exactly! 👍🏼 Summary of my horrible experience over the past three months. Even worse, Everbrite gaslit all customers, blaming everyone for application error, and offered a 50% refund if we pay return shipping as well. Thank you for the honest review. Outofspecdetailing may have taken the $5000 bribe they were talking about for a positive review. 😭 Caveat emptor !
Hey thanks for sharing your experience also Will! Yea exactly, I was very disappointed when I called and they only offered 50% refund and I had to pay for shipping, thats when I realized that they don’t really understand what customer service is. Specially since I bought two of the bottles and realized you barely use a third of one bottle. I can’t make a judgement of what others did but it does seem like and the patterns show that they were sponsored to speak only positive things and not be objective about the product when it comes the Cybertruck specifically. It seems like the company saw how much the Cybertruck was gonna be a hit and just wanted to make a lot of sales from it, disregarding whether or not it would be a good fit. All these things are signs of when people care about profit vs results.
@@chrisroberts3963 I want to clarify so there is no misunderstanding. First of all, I DID NOT mention any specific person and neither did I claim they took a bribe. I CLEARLY stated "I cannot make a judgement as to what others did" which means the exact opposite of what you thought, and I did not accuse anyone specifically as to what they may or may not have done. I simply stated my observations from careful examination of their review which encompasses various other channels and not just the person you are talking about. Second, you should be VERY CAUTIOUS with your wording and form of expression; calling me a hypocrite without providing any discrepancy or inconsistency and just speaking out of pure emotion and lack of self control. Third, how could you claim I used the wrong applicator when I used the applicator they recommended and provide for others on the cybertruck kit? Furthermore, I tried various applicators, including but not limited others which they recommended after I called the company and spoke with their representative. Fourth, you made a lot of assumptions as to how I did the application wrong which turn out to be false, without knowing the facts and seemingly not paying attention to what I ACTUALLY said in the video. For example I DID NOT do the entire truck at once and then decided it was not quite right. I did panel per panel, following all their instructions, and even going above and beyond to try other means and every means possible. This includes EVERYTHING they told me to do when I called them and asked for feedback and help trying to keep an open mind and giving them the benefit of the doubt. Fifth, You need to learn the DIFFERENCE between a bribe and being sponsored on a video so you don't make the horrendous mistake you just did of disrespecting me without knowing the facts. Sixth, claiming I failed to put it on and its my mistake when I followed the directions and application process provided by the very company that sells the coating and even following their example set forth in their video, is a big discrepancy of itself. As stated earlier it just shows you saw a comment you didn't like, took it personal, was offended, lacked reasoning and jumped to conclusions and the comment section. Seventh, the company should have done their due diligence and done all their testing, improving, analyzation, and conclusions BEFORE selling to a niche market. It is indeed the evidence, that they just saw an opportunity to sell something and went for it. The problem is that they are doing their learning and adjusting at the cost of OTHER PEOPLES HARD EARNED MONEY, while taking little responsibility and not providing excellent customer service. All of this testing should have been done at the back end, which would have prevented all these unsatisfied clients with a bad taste in their mouth because they are unwilling to simply do the right thing to refund and pay for all costs. Perhaps now that they see this, they may try to do damage control and change their mind, but for some of us, its too late and they showed their true colors as a professional company. After being publicly outed anybody can act different and change their mind only because others are now watching. Seventh, I clearly stated MULTIPLE times on the video that my intentions were not malevolent as I thought it was a great coating itself perhaps for other applications but not when it comes to the cybertruck. Needless to say it is my opinion which I am entitled to, but it comes with all the weight and proof there can be so its not just some random false claim to malign anybody but a conclusion based on all the testing and observation that is possible. I tried more than 10 times to apply it using all the techniques and tools available. Eight, I clearly stated that others can reach a level of contentment with this coating under certain circumstances so I have never misled anybody or misrepresented anything which you should have taken notice of before falsely accusing me with wrong information. May you have a great day and reconsider your actions. Thank you!
@@leinitta1760 yea I think that’s the best option, it can get pricey however. Another option which is cheaper is a metal ceramic coating, I have some videos on that as well, feel free to check them out. Thanks!
I used this product and removed it. I wasted $300+ on this product. It was very difficult to apply and it attracted hundreds of aphids and many of them stuck to the coating and my truck. I also had drip marks and rainbowing. Thank you for this video. The outofspec video with the protecta clear rep. was disappointing, she couldn't even apply it right. Nobody should buy this product for the Cybertruck.
Yea sounds about right, I think thats everyone’s experience with it. Yea I happened to watch part of that video and thought it was hilarious that their own rep couldn’t even get it to work either. They should be very transparent with people about the cons and reality of it, and not just greedily try to sell it to people, I think it has its place for some people that don’t care about the look or finish and for other applications but it’s definitely not something I recommend to most people for the Cybertruck! Thanks for watching & commenting
I have seen a couple of positive videos, but most comments and other content aren't great. Send like, as you say, a decent product just not quite right for this application. Open to them getting instructions or product more dialed in but avoiding for now.
Yea, I bought it with high expectations because I saw those positive videos as well and I was blindsided when it came time to apply it myself on my clients Cybertruck. That’s the reason I decided to make this video so others can at least have a better perspective and understanding before purchasing. I hope they go back to the drawing board and change their original formula to work better on the Cybertruck. Thanks for sharing

what do you recommend for a stainless steel top that will be outdoors
Protekta clear product might be good for that application but not for the Cybertruck.

What would be good to use for the truck?
PPF, Wrap, or metal ceramic coating
@@OQDetailing what about ceramic over ppf? Or waste of money?
@@rydomo yes that would be even better, and if I had the money what I would do.
Interesting, thanks for sharing!
