I forgot you need planetary habitation level 1 to make an outpost on the pyraas planet I showed, but you can do this on any planet with animals that can be domesticated, so feel free to do it anywhere.

I'm on the exact same planet with 100% fauna and zoology 1 but can't place a husbandry. Why?

You have to research domestication 1 to be able to put down a animal husbandry, maybe add that to the video

For those that don't want to get planetary habitation:
I set this up on Strix 1 in the Strix system ( level 70 system right of Pyras). Its a temperate system with a desert biome with alot of flat land.
Found 3 creatures to choose from. Theres spiders and crickets that give 118 xp and blue giraffe looking thing thats worth 94 xp each. ( Compared to the 140 i was getting on Pyras) I use the crickets because they are smaller and the bodies take up the least space but the giraffes would work for those that have trouble aiming.
Its less xp each but requires less skill points to get started and you don't have to deal with bad planetary conditions. Haven't had any trouble with hit boxes.
thanks for this, i need a place to do this where my lungs won't get infected. I didn't set up anything yet, but i killed them all to go up 5 levels so i has some points ready to use. You should make a video on the way you did it. Pyras might be great once you get past level 100, but i just got to 20, so i don't have the resources this guy had.
How do you choose which creature you get?
@@zebatov theres a terminal on the animal husbandry building. Each resource is produced by a different creature, just select the resource from the creature you want. You have to have them 100% scanned for them to be in the list
Go to the craters biomes, there's herding nautilus floaters or something like that which spawn in packs of like 12+, are very easy to spot since they fly, and very easy to kill. It's on the same planet too.
@Beefyrulz I can confirm this, best thing is that they swarm towards you, so it's easy pickings/xp
The EM weapon to render opponents unconscious so you can melee them from sneak so as to level concealment is just too good. Thank you.
Yeah, I wish I knew this earlier. I did the melee doctor trick and even that took forever

@@ness07 yeah me neither, even though it says sneak attack, it's not registering in the skill.
Easiest way to level concealment is to go to reliant medical in new atlantis (don't bring any followers). the doctor is essential, but can't leave the room so just crouch behind him until fully hidden on attack, then wait a few seconds, he'll run around the room but he can't leave, so get behind him, crouch, attack, repeat. 10 mins got me from rank 1 to rank 4 concealment.
Would void form speed this up?

@@ferreisd495idk if things have been patched/changed in the months since i last played, but when i last did this, since the doctor is alone in an isolated room, if you're fully hidden when you do a sneak-melee, you won't get bounty.
After you get Zoology 1, make sure you research Domestication 1 at a research lab. Otherwise you won't be able to build the animal husbandry facility buildings. Great video!

Same for me. I have one skill point in zoology and outpost engineering. And researched domestication 1 in the research lab. Do I need further research there?

You have to scan everything on the planet animals and plants to 100% and build it on the same planet. I got it to work but it’s a pain in the ass. Once done works great though
You don't even need an outpost - I didn't have the skill, but I landed on Skink and sat in a non-pilot seat and "B" waited for 1 hour - and took off and it had the same effect. Great tips!
If you go to any high level system set your difficulty to very hard before you land, find said special enemies and then put your difficulty to very easy. Xp level doesn't change and it doesn't effect achievements however having them spawn at very hard increases the chances or epics and legendary drops and then when you switch to very easy the drops will already be set but the enemies will be easier to kill and do little damage.

@@Alt0001they are talking about legendary enemies as stated in the video. He said to always hardsave before killing one to reroll loot this is handy tip to make the whole thing faster/easier.
Found an exploit myself and thought I would share. It is good for an early game heavy weapon.
1. Go to Jemison and take the train to the residential district.
2. Turn left and head into the Centaurian Arsenal store.
3. Once inside you will see two floor lights pointed at weapons displays. Walk up on the light to the left. Turn to your right and look down and you will see a heavy that when you put your cursor to the butt of the gun/edge of the display the name will pop up Bridger (or if you’re lucky or save scum will be an advanced bridger). You can crouch and not be caught. I haven’t spent much time but I don’t think any other gun can be targeted out of the cases to steal. Like I said, I just found this myself and wanted to share.
Remember that the main goal of this farm is to improve ALL your combat skills very quickly. The exp is a very nice bonus but you are also using up ammo. So it may not be that applicable to fresh player who is low on creds and low on basically everything.
However, this is easily done for a level 30 or so character. So you you still need to fly to high level planets, scan literally everything and set the farm there. But if you already do that for every planet you visit, it will come naturally to you.
The crafting one is an xp farm, for boosting non-combat skills and earning credits and comes online much earlier. So choose accordingly.
I used the crafting adaptable frames method to get to lvl 50. then i sold all the frames and bought tonnes of ammo and started farming xp with the animal farm. Since im on xbox the second method yeilds far more xp per min.
I keep seeing people say you have to sleep/wait and then talk to the shop keepers to restock their chests. This is incorrect.
You can loot each chest in Akila City twice back to back. Before you talk to the shop keeper, loot their chest outside. Then you can immediately go talk to the shop keeper which instantly restocks their chest, and then go loot the chest again. Travel to your outpost, sleep 3 hours, travel back to Akila City and repeat.
The Akila glitch can be done TWICE in one go around. Once you loot whatever (preferably take all of it to make sure it works) then just go in and talk to the vendor. Back out and just look at the chests again and it’s completely restocked. It only works for the weapons and general store merchants.

Something i have found is that: if you sneak and attack a camera with your mining cutter from the scanner, you immediatly fill up your sneak attack challenge to rank up.
Where are cameras? You mean turrets?
@@TRG29338 no, there are some surveilance cameras in the vanguard questline where you have to storm a station where the sneak thing happened. since i think the cutter does low damage at a high rate and the camera itself doesn't 'percieve' you, it fills the sneak attack up in an instant.
I wish this video had timestamps. When I start a character I go to the second to last planet Archimedes thats lvl 75, build an outpost , add turrets and then snipe mobs from the roof.
If it takes longer than 50 seconds to travel to and back from a planet to rest, then it’s better to use the stool outside the shop and the wait anywhere glitch, then just stand next to them and wait and talk to them and grab chest, repeat
How do I do the wait anywhere glitch??

U don't need to glitch the rest, 48hrs on the stood then speak to the npc before retaking the chest

Yeah that's what I do, there is a chair behind and to the.... right I believe? Either way it's right there. It's much faster I think to wait on planet I think. Also I've never had to talk to the shop keeper first the chests have always just respawned. So check for you as well to save some extra time.
I've found that purposely blowing up the housing and then repairing it makes all 4 aliens spawn back in instantly and also deletes some of them around it. Repairing is free so no downside to this.
Except the time it takes to run up and repair them, then run back to position.
@@donovan1345 you don't have to run up to the building to fix it, you can just go into outpost mode, switch to aerial view, enter modify mode and repair it that way.
For everyone asking in the comments: no, you do NOT need to supply these buildings with fiber, water or even power for this to work! As soon as you build each Animal Husbandry Facility, the creatures start spawning. They respawn when you kill them, too. Not sure of the delay, but I built 20 facilities and was able to kill 265 bugs in 28 minutes for 5 levels (91-96). I'm using an advanced Hard Target rifle with high power receiver and penetrator rounds, so I can get one or even two bugs with a single shot. I named my outpost BUG HUNT. Happy squishing!
I've been looting the ammo and money on Akila through the floor first, then I talk to the vendor it resets the money and the vendor so you can go back out and loot it twice per trip.
It also resets the vendors weapons so it's worth checking the second time because the weapons always seem to be better after talking/resetting

Well to be fair, most of his videos (on Starfield) are exploits.
Pro tip for people: once you hit around level 100, you might as well play through how you want to and do the replay + option. You do not make levels easy after 100, and you can actually play the game in different ways before your "big run"

Seems like a good farm. I just have to laugh because a majority of the prerequisite skills needed to set it up in the best way are exactly why I looked up an xp farm to begin with. Like, yeah, here's a great xp farm, except you need to already have all these skills to make it great. 😂
Sadly yes, but you can start with Adaptive Frame, with that you can get XP easy unless you're a console player.

Yeah made it all the way out to the planet with a fresh new character and realized I need a legendary skill to build a outpost. Wild how no one is talking about how you have to hard focus the science tree to be able to set up this farm

Yeesh…you need skill points in a ton of areas, gobs of aluminum/adaptive frames/reactive gauges/adhesive to do this. It’s not as simple as everyone makes it out to be. There’s a lot of shit that you gotta have in place to do this. Lotta hopping around from shop to shop, waiting, purchasing materials, over encumbered troubles, trade tango with companion, etc.
The "tranquilita" was killing me, lol. Tranquilitea, like tranquility and tea - tranquili-tea. I'm calling it tranquilita from now on though, for sure.

Leave your companion outside. One hit the Dr., wait til he stands back up and repeat.

Sheppard's pie at Kate's place in the Well on Jemison. Give you 2% XP for an HR. And you can buy as many as you want just waiting.

Been doing this a while now on xbox and the dead bodies are piling up and not despawning fast enough, causing bad stuttering. Has anyone found a definitive way to force the game to de spawn them faster? Just going back and forth between 2 outposts isnt doing the trick
Same but on PC I’m also getting game-breaking lag stutters everywhere because of this.
Tried deleting outposts and no luck.
My game never had issues with lag before
The only 2 ways I've fixed the bodies is: 1) deleting the outpost and moving it 200yds over or 2) Just hitting up alot of planets and coming back later.
Pro tip. This is not a lvl 1 farm you will need to level a bit to unlock the ability to put a outpost on his planet. And you will need to research in able to build the barns.
Just found out why this isn’t a popular method. You need to invest in 3 different perks and then research domestication to be able to do this.
i havent done this myself yet (going to start setting it up now) but if you're just farming xp and not worrying about weapons type kills the best weapon for this might be the cutter. infinite ammo, strong and just run laps around the shacks
Is outpost building bugged? I have scanned the animals, unlocked domestication research and the animal husbandry builder doesnt show up for me no matter where I build my outpost on that planet.
I’m having this same problem. Unlocked the research for it. I have zoology abs outpost engineering at lvl 1. And still can’t build them

Yea. He didn't mention that. I need 27LY and the razorleaf only does 16.
Also it seems like you need a class C to get that grav jump range which you can only pilot after getting lvl 4 piloting skill
The tea is pronounced Tranquility, if you do the ryujin side quest one of the things you first do is get everyone on the senior staff a terrabrew brew coffee, though the quest giver complains about that as the company doesn't own the coffee brand and has their own beverage company Tranquilatea.

@@Calamity_Jackfor real, lol. It's definitely more fun either way. The manufacturing one I just couldn't do to boring. I'm also thinking this game is to slow with the XP I wander a LOT and your practically penalized for doing so as far as leveling goes.
Shooting aliens sounds a lot more fun than waiting 2400 hours on Venus for my boxes to overencumber myself and warehouses. 100 xp per kill seems faster than spamming left and x button
The chest glich doesn't work with the new updates unless you reinsert them.
U need a perk tp build on that world as its extreme environment
The Beowulf is a better choice than the Drum Beat, imo. The rifle does way more damage per shot and 7.77mm is dirt cheap compared to 11mm, so it’s super efficient. Some Beowulf rifles can be stolen from UC Surplus in the Well on Jemison, as well.
My beowulf dose over 300 dmg. I can one shot alot if not 2 or 3.shot most things it's great
The time it takes to level up all of this stuff is insane (without cheats). Great guide if you've leveled up all of your weapon mod skills, combat skills, sneak skills, etc. By the time I have all of that unlocked, I don't think I'll need an XP farm........everything is already leveled up!
nope you would be surprised. I played until I was level 60 and didnt have half the perks I wanted. I'm level 100 now and I still want to unlock more. I dont think ill go higher cuz the xp needed is a lot but you lways need more XP in this game
Dude, slow down. Give the people more details into specifically what skills you need to do these. Zoology 1 don't let you craft those creature husbandry things. Been trying this for 2 hours but it's always one thing or another that you need to do this. Explain yourself better bro, it'll be easier for us average joes to know what it actuall takes to do this or not and if we want to invest the time and skill points for it.
Why are you so mad
The level of your animals in your habitat based on system level. On the tutorial word you get 8 xp per kill but that number goes up to 95 xp on a level 50 world. I mention that because it takes time to unlock planetary habitation. Also you only have to scan enemies to get them to turn green. If your level is low you'll have trouble killing them even on very easy
an easy workaround to this is:
Go to Andraphon (within Narion Star System), and build an Outpost where you are excavating both Aluminum and Iron (in one Outpost).
This can be done if you go in the middle of the Craters and Mountain biomes.
-Once you have placed the Outpost there, place Extractors for Aluminum and Iron (as many as you want).
-Place containers and connect the Aluminum Extractors to one container, and connect the Iron Extractors to another container (make sure those 2 containers are not up against each other.
-place as many containers up against both sets. Connect one container to the adjacent ones. Do the same with the other.
-place enough power down.
-place down an Industrial Workbench and a bed.
-sleep in bed for 24 or 48 hours (however long you want).
When you wake up, go to your Industrial Workbench and you should be able to craft 999+ Adaptive Frames. Just continuously craft them until you level up.

As for skills to get to Planetary Habitation, here are the best ones to invest in (including the one that is highly required for this xp exploit from the video):
-Geology (all you have to do is mine resources or harvest)
-Surveying (just need to scan things with your Hand Scanner; fauna, flora, and resources)
-Scanning (just need to scan planets and moons while in orbit)
-Zoology (gives you access to Husbandry facility)
Maxing those out should give you enough points spent to get Planetary Habitation (Rank 1).

Go to a planet with the 4 armed trexs, pull out fists, crouch under the trex from behind so when it turns around, you’re underneath it and it won’t be able to see you and you can get 15-20 sneak attacks per trex if done correctly.
I was a little worried about xp farming and exploiting glitches but after spending way too many hours in starfield, I don't think it'll matter if I skip some grind.
It was one of my favorite things to do in Skyrim. It’s more fun than modding to get levels.
And by the time youve spent fucking around scanning collecting running around and building, you'll already be level 170.
You can find a weapon workbench in the basement of The Lodge! Easy to access, no outpost needed. (There's actually a copy of each type of bench plus a Research Terminal, so it's really a one-stop shop.)
Found this out by accident way to late in my play though lol and I primarily use the lodge as storage

Storage box on the table right behind the research workstation. Unlimited weight like the one in the bed room

I did exactly what you did. I set my outpost on the same planet, so these spiders are spawing. This part is ok.
But when I kill then I get only 120 XP. If I sleep and drink an XP boost, I get up to 134 XP per kill, but no more.
I don't understand how you get 192 XP per kill.

if you romance a companion u get sexp bonus of 5% so with the 2 u mentioned u could get to 17% more xp great vid man good idea!!!!

I found a step you all can save on here.
Once you have gone and gotten the two crates of ammo out of the grown in Akila, go straight to the dealers of both shops and talk to them.
Check to see that the ammo is still in their inventory, then go back and loot the crate again.
Only worked one time. So basically you can do a 2 for 1 loot, before you head off to go sleep and reset the whole thing again.

I can't seem to build the animal husbandry buildings, I have zoology and researched the domestication and everything even the minerals of the world is 100% surveyed
PATCHED TODAY the finding stuff on ground fixed.. forget it.
Shooting the generators to kill the aliens in 1 shot they patched it I think, worked yesterday but today xp won’t count up any more
you dont need outpost to wait, just sleep/wait in your ship

@WilliamDMunny but can achieved by using the crafting method, just need to head to however many planets to build one airlock thing but at least thats the only thing needed to increase the skill challenge

Research it
For anyone strugling with scanning creatures, you can kill them and still get scan progress. Just make sure when youbreach 100% that you check the creature with the scanner to see if they can be placed in the outpost.

I found out what you need to do. You have to research domestication and also go scan them again if they are at 100% already.

yeah I forgot, I just assumed because it had life that it was habitable and I totally forgot to even look. Big mistake tbh.
Distilled water and fiber makes alien tea that gives same exp but idk if it lasts as long

Edit: So, I made this.. although I did it a bit different. I made 2 rings of 10 houses each around a 2 story weapon post. I still had concealment, and they were really close, so easy to hit. also, I used star sense, and its SOO much easier to see which ones are alive.
also, pro tip. Open all the doors so you can shoot inside the buildings and the creatures dont get stuck where you cant shoot them.
Thumbnail and first 30 seconds gave me "Tremors" vibes.
This could be the best method for console player, because the Adaptive Frame method is hard as we have to constantly press the button to fill the number of items to craft.
I was thinking this exact thing. I’ve been trying to farm xp with adaptive frames but it gets so slow after level 50 or so, this one is at least a bit more active than tapping buttons over and over
Too slightly speed it up use the joystick while pressing the right bumper and it’ll go a bit faster not crazy tho but definitely faster

I use rubber bands on dpad and attach one to left stick so i just need to spam a button. Enjoy

Edit: today I even deleted the outposts completely and builder them in the area further even the dead bodies of the deleted camps where still lying there not to mention the new ones in the new camps do after 5 levels the game crashed. So now I do a camp on the opposite planet area then delete it and do it elsewhere lol really complicated. Did you make the video playing PC coz Xbox Sure dies have problems

@@justinh9539 sleep for +15% yes, xp drinks no. Truthfully I haven't looked into xp drinks, but the only one I've seen adds 2%. Are there drinks that add even more %? Like +30%?
If the hundreds of dead spiders are making your game freeze/crash. I went to Venus and slept for 2400 hours. Clears them all to start over

Quick tip for the save scum loot part.
You can actually kill the boss and as long as you don’t pick up the loot. You can save scum with his loot still on him and it will change once you load up again.

Thank you!!!! Wanted to take a brake after 200h, but really wanted the (last) lvl100 achievement. Got bored for a few weeks around 80. Tried this yesterday and got from 92 to 100 within a few hours (well, only 17 buildings in 1 outpost, including gathering the resources to build it). Did it in 1 evening what I've been trying for 2 weeks.

Well it does look like you have to already be at a high level to even attempt it. I’ve just been going to Strix 1 and sniping the floating jellyfish things. Almost no setup and they’re endless.
I’ve done this since it came out. But there’s another way to bring up your sneak super fast. Knock out the animal as well, crouch down , use an automatic weapon. Every bullet counts as one hit.

I recommend to make multiple outposts I have 3 now with around 12 habitations I’ve used a really powerful Orion which takes 3Kv laser ammo just be aware of shooting the boxes too much. I’ve gotten to over level 113 with this method and it’s slowed down drastically but overall if you want to get to 100 it’s very easily done

Yeah he seems to do that. His 160k xp video I got through 70% of it then stopped. No idea what all the build was for. Didn't even say, or how much each part gave xp, just have to sit and find out till the end.

Best place for free tranquility is the chest under neon vendors, I can't remember which one but they have like 6 different flavors and tend to have around 5 of each flavor. One stop will net almost 30

One planet I like to farm even without the animal husbandry thing is Strix I in the Strix System. They have Herding Nautilus Floaters or something like that which are these little balloon kinda guys that spawn frequently and in packs of like 12+. Since it's a lvl 70 system they often spawn at decent levels and give good EXP. I just land in a craters biome, run around for a bit, 1-tapping everything with a fully modified advanced Beowolf since 7.77 ammo is cheap, common, and plentiful. Plus since they fly, they're really easy to spot, and since they fall out of the sky when they're dead, it's easy to tell what's still alive. Even before taking advantage of EXP exploits or even installing mods, that farm got me up to like level 90 in a relatively short period of time. I'd just hop on over there every now and again between missions just to get skill points whenever I had a handful of certs ready to upgrade.
Even without min-maxing the spawning or farming, I find it's a really fun way to farm EXP without having to necessarily exploit anything.

@@jowxyo only the low level ones don't give much exp but that's just because they're low level. They give exp just like any other non-passive creature.
If you use an explosive weapon and repair building the creatures will auto respawn in same place and then you only need one building and just a stack of repair requirements, cheers.
There is a rail rifle that does 700+ standard.
Here is a great add on to this that i just tried for the heck of it and it worked. Land in the sandy desert. Put your outpost as close to your ship as possible. Land somewhere close and walk back to the outpost. BAM!! You have a nice flat area devoid of rocks!! Then start building.
Bro I just grinded Strix from 22-32 just so I could get zoology, get outpost engineering, and planetary habitation so I could put an outpost on this planet I hope this is worth it
Edit: It was worth. Hard Target is a good gun to do this with. Mine is unmodded, I just bought it from Akila's weapon vendor. I'm one shotting and I don't even have concealment yet. If you can aim it is very fast xp not bad at all. I'm lv.81 now
Minimum skills are: Zoology 1 and Outposting Engineering 1 (which is 8 SKILL POINTS) then research Domestication 1 (if you're on a non-hazardous planet you dont need Planetary Habitation). THEN you need all the resources to build all of this. 30 hours in and I barely have enough resources to attempt it, and did not have any of the skills and no back up skill points. They don't make it easy.
You kinda need crafting , you need 3 of those micro (forgot name) things to place 1 animal farm (wich are rarely sold by vendors or if you have max rank research you can craft those yourself at an industrial workbench)

After you get Zoology 1, make sure you research Domestication 1 at a research lab. Otherwise you won't be able to build the animal husbandry facility buildings. As someone stated elsewhere.

Love starting a gfrind only to find the uploader missed two key perks and I have to level up 5 times to even get to the grind lol
My main gripe right now is that you’re practically required to xp farm to get to 100 and for the achievement in a reasonable amount of time. The game doesn’t hand out enough xp with missions and normal enemies.
I’ve played through about everything I could find naturally (250 hours in) and I’ve reached level 77 before I started xp farming

Forget copying a xp farm, you inspired me to want to make an arena outpost now. Sorta new, but I didn't know we had the ability to make spawners. Thanl you! Now I wish starfield had the gore lvl as in fallout.
For the puddle... if you don't want an outpost on Skink, just travel there and wait 1 hour in one of the jump seats in your cockpit. No "well rested" bonus, but its 60 hours UT regardless, and lets be honest, you're not looking for the XP bonus anyway at that point. Great vid!

Edit PSA: Kibbles, UncleMumble and LunarGaming are examples of genuine content creators that do their own research and not just ripping off other people’s hard work.
So you can use explosives, you can damage your husbandry down to basically one hit but you yourself cannot actually destroy it. I tested it out just now. But you can destroy other things so watch where you pace stuff if you have other things built and if your attacked you might have to do repairs.
If you can’t be bothered sleeping when it gets dark I suggest using Sense star stuff power even during the day helps a lot to keep tabs on what’s dead or not
