The goal of this campaign is to change the game into a bandit survival simulator where Zheng Jiang has to live in the cracks of great powers to survive and thrive for 100 turns!
I remember playing this faction just to try and rush down Dong Zhou before he died so I could play three kingdoms as him, however the big Dong always died just right before I could kill him. It took me a while to figure out that I can prolong Dongs life by adding the 6 turn per year mod and then I was then finally able to play as the bad guy!
Zheng Jiang is that ol' reliable faction that I always know I'll have a good time as. Same rule extends to any series' on the channel. Looking forward to seeing if you'll have to migrate that one province every now and then.
200 Zheng Jiang and 194 Liu Chong probably two of the most difficult campaign that I had played. 190 Ma Teng also pretty tough, but you already show case it.
I got a stupid question. I've seen spies run off with items, and mess with your armies, ect.. but hypothetically, if you stay married to the vanguard and somebody flipped him.. can the AI perform assassinations? This is a question for anyone who might know.
@@SeriousTrivia Thanks. You are normally very good about spies and normally your spouse is reasonably happy within a few turns. I've never seen it happen to you before. Zheng Jiang and her hubby need to make that baby soon. Lol. Cao Cao will give that order to assassinate without batting an eye.
Merc contract counts as ally for replenishment, not sure if you realise this later in the video but that's why you are replenishing in liu beis territory
Thought I would point out that if you had gifted the Dong Mine to Liu Bei and then managed to take the City of Dong, that would automatically have changed your capital from the Temple to the city, then you could have traded away the temple without breaking the rule you set for yourself.
I'd love to see a playthrough focused on spying in the future (unless you already did one and I missed it). Just started to get around to using spies on my Cao Cao run and was able to get Lu Bu in my faction just from making him mad and leaving the Dong clan. As always love your vids.
Cao Cao Fates Divided campaign that I did used a lot of spying. The Sima Lun Eight Princes campaign as well although neither was intended to be just spying campaigns
The Kong Rong Pacifist playthrough has a ton of spying and the most insane spying result I've ever seen. Still one of my favourite ST playthroughs for the spying
Hey mate great video as always. Was wondering do you have a recommended recent mods list for more graphical enhancement, i.e., general models and skins? Love the game, just not a fan of generic models.
is Gong Du the only Yellow Turban left in the Fates Divided campaign start? cause that could be another interesting campaign, like a Yellow Phoenix revival, to prove that they were to be feared by the Han
I just fire everyone, and head to taiwan, by the time i get there i should have about 25k on legendary and no real enemy, taking over the south nets a lot of money from blackmarkets. Never did the tributes from people. But i figured once i get better spearmen i get hidden axes and spearmen to take defensive positions. Make the enemy come to me and just cut them down. What makes it better if you can take down 2-3 armies vs your 1 you can take over large sections of the map rather quickly. If i have to i get a mercenary contract against cao cao early and wipe him out. Seems to me there is 4 major factions that can wipe everyone out if left unchecked. Cao Cao Sun Ce Yuan Shao Liu Bei. Sun Ce is the biggest threat in my eyes. Cao Cao is the biggest pain in the ass though 😂
@@SeriousTrivia You are assuming that "China" has always been a "unified country". But the fact of the matter is, it is not. The historical recording called "The Book of Han" was created by a Northern tribe called Han. Read it very carefully and you will see what I mean. The reason why the Han barbarians had to invade the south was because of the desertification of the Loess Plateau which started to dry up about 3000 years ago because of excess agricultural activities and deforestation. East Asia, what people call China today, was like Europe with many countries and empires. The Han Empire was just like the Roman Empire. Most, if not all, Europeans do not see themselves as Romans. Most of the early immigrants from Southern China called themselves Tang people, not Han people. What they call "China City" today used to the called the street of the Tang people. You must be pretty brainwashed by the communists in PR of China. LOL
I don't get why u make these 'challenges' then proceeds to take the easy way out. U established you want a survival challenge starting in confusion temple and surrounded by enemies on all sides. The u proceed to think about changing to a settlement which u can infinitely cheese by 'looping'. Then you want to make peace with neighbors. Whats the point of doing a challenge? Where's the challenge?
To me the "challenge"" part of the playthru is not a matter of difficult for difficulty sake, it's about challenging oneself to reach a goal "live for 20 years" playing a completely different style than normal. Coming up with these types of scenarios is how many continue enjoying a game once they have mastered it.
Sitting in one county and keep pressing end turn until enemies come to fight you doesn’t really sound like an engaging way to play the game. The challenge is finding a solution out of situations like this and when did I loop?
@@SeriousTriviaI think he or she is afraid that you will start looping in Dong. I thought it was because you wanted to have a larger garrison, not to loop. Plus he or she might feel like since you made peace with everyone that the challenge is basically over since you'll likely have one enemy at a time unless someone backstabs you. I'm not saying I agree as I'm enjoying the PT. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the OP.
@xeternalxdreamsx I mean Dong is a walled settlement already so you can’t technically loop there. I am just looking for a defensible base that would free up my one army to do work outside the borders. Yes I did peace out but this was never intended to be a this is total war campaign. Bandits aren’t stupid, we look with the strong to prey on the weak. We are like the hyenas in lion king, we work with scar until we eat scar ;)
@@SeriousTrivia I'm really enjoying it. I hope the OP understands what your intentions were/are. I like the cutthroat approach as the bandits. Unlike normal campaigns, every future session/episode is up in the air to what you want to do in the moment. Lol. The analogy you speak is perfect for this Let's Play.

Might I ask what difficulties you play at (Campaign/Battle)?
"Yuan Tan don't do it! Don't take it. Your dad doesn't love you!" Another "ouch" quote from ST!

Thats how i unlocked him by playing ZJ
The "big Dong" lol

This is a cool idea! Been playing alot of TW and watching your vids, good stuff my friend!
Cao Cao really hit ST with that -20 Food
I knew that was gonna happen in episode one lmfao. xD
Watching Liu Bei "GET DOWN MR. PRESIDENT" Zheng Jiang as Cao Cao was chasing was one of the most Romance moments of all time

Theoretically yes

Nuzlocke like experience with Total War 😍

A lot of the moves was based on a miscalculation that I can use both lands to trade for a demand tribute from Cao Cao
Oooo let the banditry begin!
I wish you had just a $1 Patreon tier. I'd join straight away
There is the 1 dollar channel membership tier (just using TH-cam as the platform instead of patreon)
Oh this is a fun concept!

I did something similar with Lubu. except by the end, china was on fire; only 1 fertile county left.
Wait we did that!
wow, another amazing start! wondering what are the straes if your first hubby is the other 4 types
I hope ZJ will own a family
Will you do a manor lords playthrough
I am interested but the game also doesn’t look very finished
Finally my lovely ZJ time 😌😌

MTU is top notch. Then TUP and WDG2 are good mods for adding artworks to generic generals too
Well that’s halfway to my dream campaign 😜 I’ll always take more axe mommy content
How about a late bloomer campaign to only expand out after turn 60?
You could have ended war with Cao cao by just asking request tribute and not doing a peace deal
it was not positive
is Gong Du the only Yellow Turban left in the Fates Divided campaign start? cause that could be another interesting campaign, like a Yellow Phoenix revival, to prove that they were to be feared by the Han
Yep he is the only one. I put him in the community poll but he lost by a wide margin lol
@@SeriousTrivia that just means he's available to do at a later time then
I believe you can replenish in territory owned by your contractor

How zj can survive with only one city ?
Hi ST!
**spoiler**
I understand wanting to keep to the one county rule, but surprised you didn't keep the merc contract until the next item + cash payout
I thought I could use the land to get the demand tribute. Or else I would have kept the contract and just traded the land to Liu Bei instead.
yo first
31 seconds
but in all seriousness sometimes I think I'm good at three kingdoms but then I watch these
It is funny to see that most of the characters' names have only two words. Very inaccurate history-wise.
The Han period almost exclusively had two character names. Three character names didn’t become popular until the late Jin period.
