Man it’s pretty cool to go back and watch these old videos from when you started your journey from time to time. You should consider doing a series where you watch these and reflect on a few of them. It would be interesting for you to commentate on it years later. Still enjoying your adventure. Keep on adventuring bud.
Thanks for the final review of the TRX. Aswered the questions I had about it. Liked that this episode was almost a half hour long. Every time I watch it makes me want to go out and explore more.
Awesome views in the Carolinas, and you are correct; danger makes for the BEST content! Still super pumped for the installation of the Goosegear Plate System in the Jeep. Looking forward to future videos where that happens. Keep it up buddy!
Same thing happened to me alone in Idaho last winter was in about 3 feet of snow I made a stupid decision ended up in about 5 feet of snow in a matter of seconds. I was alone in the middle of nowhere with no cell reception. Thankfully I had my Treds and was able to power through after fighting it for about an hour or so. Needless to say I needed to change out my briefs after that experience. I have a winch but there was nothing to tie onto such as boulders, trees, etc. You will have a lot of people voicing their opinions on the matter but sometimes shit just happens and its stuff like that you learn from. No amount of opinions in the comments section of a TH-cam channel can help you when the shit hits the fan. Glad you made it out ok.
I have watched all your videos and now started from the beginning for a second time watch. I am sorry to say you have t improve on your diet. Amazing places you visit and very good filming. Keep well
Travel tip Chris, when on the coast municipal marinas have showers......... keep a roll of quarters in the door pocket. Also large truck stops along the interstate highways, and rec centers/ municipal pools have showers. Even though you are out of doors a lot , it doesn't seem like you are completely away from civilization for long periods. No reason to have long stretches between showers.
Those TREES are stunning, wow! That morning SC light - gorgeous! Someone needs to buy you a skateboard, there is a re-occuring theme of sliding side-ways... either you and/or the Jeep... ;) Another wonderful episode Chris! Already counting down to next weekend's edition!
Been following your vlog, from France and Abu Dhabi. Very good. I realise that you have to be careful when scouting and travelling, especially when alone, but this is the nature of exploring and scouting. Just try and get trax and a winch at some point (that’s expensive though) and keep on pushing! Best wishes
I never thought I would see one of your videos where you were in my town and stuck in the same place I've been stuck. Lol.. Croatan is a great place but you have to be careful lol... Love the videos
Was surprised he didn’t go looking for a few big rough rocks to jam in the ruts he made.....it would have made for more work (if any rocks were around) but would’ve given his tires a lot of bite.
Great video. May be your friends over at OK4wd could hook you up with a winch . I had to get one when I got stuck in sand out here in the desert near Palm Springs CA. Enjoy your adventures every week.
Finally learned where he’s from in PA (Pottstown) after watching a dozen of his videos. Knew from his accent it was definitely not western PA. Ahh, Chester county at its finest
Alligator ointment works too. Apply it around their nose. Works great I hear. You should also get an electric chain saw, either battery powered or an AC corded one. It would be good for making firewood and clearing downed trees blocking roads. What was up with the fire truck at Starbucks? Someone burn the coffee?
My 2 year old grandson found this video and started watching it. He said "Who dat man?" And then he saw your Jeep and it didn't matter anymore. As long as you drive a Jeep, you're okay with Li'l Man. He said "Papa's Jeep. Wong color." with his hands turned up as if to say "what happened?" HAHAHAHAHA
Hey, Steve! It's an Ursa Minor J30. It's not quite a tent, but a whole replacement hard top for the Jeep that has a built-in pop-up. I love it, and it's the best thing I've ever done to my Jeep! www.ursaminorvehicles.com/
Start thinking about what you eat. Also, why saw wood for the fire? Seems like a waste of time. Just let the fire do the work I enjoy the videos. No music or girls in bikinis. And I do like your straight forward dialogue Too many vloggers think they have to be an actor
Really enjoy you videos so far. May I make a suggestion and ask that you tone down the volume of your footsteps. It gets rather annoying and takes away from the quality of the video. Kinda like someone rustling around in half empty bag of potato chips right beside your ear. Nice save on the stuck by the way.
I started watching your videos because I like your Jeep setup. I try not to say anything if it’s not kind, but honestly, your really depressing to listen to as you talk to a camera as if it’s your “Wilson." You have an apartment for a mailing address, while you're wandering around aimlessly. You also seem to be estranged from your son, who by the looks of him, needs a father in his life. People on TH-cam are not your friends and they're not going to help you. It’s time to grab that man card and pick yourself up. Best wishes.
@Chris Ayres I don't think he makes anything off TH-cam. I think he once said he does computer type work for a living and he can work from home/ anywhere.
@Chris Ayres I looked at his patreon and it says he gets almost 1700 a month on that, also many of these videos have ads, meaning he gets paid, probably not much but possibly another 5-800 a month. 2500 a month goes far when you are homeless and just eat tortillas and powdered potatoes.
My new bumper sticker: "I don't go mudding, I just make bad decisions". I love it!

Love your videos! Getting rid of my F150 for a Jeep because of your videos lol stay safe

"I forgot..... I don't even have alligator spray... ... ..." * Almost spits out my coffee.*

Any of the chain truckstops, and many smaller truckstops have showers. Price varies.
A friend of mine got a planet fitness membership just to have access to their showers when he travels.
North of Charleston SC. Charlotte is in NC. I was in Charleston at the same time and made a video as well!!
Glad too see you’re back! Happy New Year!!
Awesome sauce! (i'm binge watching your content....lol)
Rock it and give it throttle. You'll get the hang of it bud. The throttle is your best friend.

Another good video! Look forward to them every week. Keep enjoying life 👍 maybe add some maxtrax to your emergency gear.
Solo no winch rule #1: When going alone, bring a Come-Along . . .

Getting out of that rut was plenty good content, well done. If you had a winch it wouldn't have been nearly as exciting!
Finally learned where he’s from in PA (Pottstown) after watching a dozen of his videos. Knew from his accent it was definitely not western PA. Ahh, Chester county at its finest

Great video, thank you. Warn makes a great 12,000 lb winch.
Great video Christo!

Made me laugh when the camera fell over right after you did, be very careful buddy - you have to take care of yourself!
Warm wishes from England
Watching your video now, I live in Greensboro NC, you should head down to Carolina Beach by Wilmington, you can camp right on the beach.
Lol what do gators do in the snow? Probably next to nothing
Great videos, keep it up
Made me hungry for a tortilla/ham/cheese and soup meal!!! I’ve got to try that!
Hi. What’s that roof top clam style tent you have? Thanks. Steve

Guidance vs. Discovery is a attribute distinction.
Great video. 👍
Hello...do you have a lift on your JK...and what size tires.
No Maxtrax??
How do you overland with no winch????
15:35 Is it just me,or is he dog tracking? Thanks for sharing another great adventure.
😎👍

4:58 We introverts shall inherit the earth.
'Crow-a-tan' not 'cro-tin'

You simply must buy a winch.
WITH ALL THAT YOU EAT AT ONE SITTING YOU MUST HAVE A TAPE WORM THE SIZE OF A BUICK IN YOU.
NO OFFENSE BUT YOU ARE NOT AN OUTDOORS PERSON, BE CAREFUL OF THOSE TREES, THEY WILL BITE.
you were going too slow . wtf

@Chris Ayres solo traveling like this is mentally tough also. Seems like he is pretty far removed from alot of human contact.
@Chris Ayres Most people rent rooms in the UK? I don't know any. Stop bullshitting
