Chris, Many years ago I was doing as you are. To watch your episodes are a glimpse into the most beautiful aspects of my life. I never thought one could relive such things , but you have given me many smiles and wonderful memories. Keep it up, you living your best years!
That glacier was awesome. Thanks for sharing. Its just me but zero reason to feel even remotely wasteful for sharing a great time with your son on a helicopter. Good job!
This has to be one of the coolest adventures yet! Venturing into a glacier! I remember going to Alaska (Anchorage) for work back in 2008 and on the weekends I drove aimlessly just at the chance to see a glacier. I had no luck! This was awesome to see!
I was talking to my girlfriend about how cool it must be for your son to have these videos. My father passed away 11 years ago when I was in my late teens. I would give anything just to look back at videos of him enjoying his life, in a way I think it makes you immortal. Anyways I can't stop watching your videos and I've actually got my gf hooked also. Thank you for sharing your life with us
@24:30 This is why I'm a patrion supporter of your channel. I wish my father showed me the things you share with your son. Just don't try to hard to be his best friend...that's not your role. Be his father. He needs that and will appreciate that more than ever later in his life. My best memories of my father was when he was trying to teach me something about being a man.
I enjoy your videos when I need something relaxing and soothing to watch. Your production style has a very PBS docuseries feel to it and I love that the episodes aren't product and sponsor driven. Keep up the great work and safe travels.
I'm going back to your earlier videos and as a father of an 8 and 6 year old, me born in the early 70's I found this video charming. I'm pretty sure you Chris, and I are similar in age. When I heard you ask if Cole wanted to "peace out" I chuckled to myself and thought. How bad will it be when my kids are teenagers and I'm sharing what I think their generations expressions are absorbed by my generations perspective. Really awesome episode.
I so appreciate the detail in the videography and the great story telling, your a natural, and so inspiring to get out and see this beutiful country! including our great parking lots. lol.
Thank you for sharing this special limited time with your son Cole. Hopefully he understands your job is this vloging, thanks again for sharing your Alaska time together. Love to follow along your adventures.
Chris and Cole I write this in late 2020, not the best year in history, however watching the two of you adventure in Alaska makes me feel better times are still ahead of us... Love your work Chris, it just keeps getting better.
Thanks all. Cole glad u are spending time with you dad and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. I've never been to Alaska and I'm 55 and to me that is a lifetime experience. Again thanks for being us along
Fantastic work, again. I have those same trail hikers... love my Oboz. Mine have taken me across Africa, many trips to Haiti, and countless northern Michigan stomps and they STILL look and feel like new. Keep up the great documentaries, they're awesome.
What an amazing adventure you took me on. I have never wanted a jeep until I started watching your videos. My wife would be pissed if I even brought it up.
This is so true. The lack of a laugh track is what makes Chris' videos so engaging. Instead of being conditioned how to feel about a portion, we are allowed to just enjoy it.
Your vlogs are a delicious visual feast and boost my happiness Chris! Thank You! I look forward to every one. You are such a thoughtful, funny and caring Dad. Your son will remember every moment. I still want to see you market yourself better. This is for you, but it is selfish too since I want you to be financially able to continue. Get with a company to make unique hats, t-shirts, and hoodies. Sell stickers. Do anything to keep this channel solvent! Be safe.
I have an Orange Crush JK unlimited too (without the roof tent) and my son and I go overlanding in Australia every chance we get. We love watching your channel for inspiration and count the days until your next upload. This coming weekend we're fitting the side awning and we plan one day to get a rooftop tent. One thing though, you should further develop your bush cooking skills on the campfire. You're missing out on an amazing part of the overlanding experience. Check out what Aussies Jase & Simon are doing on "all 4 adventure cooking" for some inspiration
Putting that yellow water nozzle on the ground....yeech....the ground may look clean but may contain who knows what type of contaminants...FYI. Having said that, thanks so much for posting this video. The sights, sounds, and flavors you must have experienced are incomparable. Vivre pleinement sa vie!
Keep it up man I’m working on a few cars I’m planning on using to overland with my kids in the summer in a couple of years when they are a bit older they are 2 and 3 now seeing your videos I always makes e more eager for that time to come
Realy like your video material. Realy nice shots of nature and enviroment, little cities, some light mitoves. You look so chilled and relaxed. Keep going with your channel, its amazing! :D Greetingz!
My wife and I watch every video, Love seeing your weekly routine. Helpful hint, you should never touch a bulb, the oils on you hand can cause the bulb to heat up.
What supermarket was that footage shot at --- those have to be the lowest prices I've seen for any food in Alaska in years ... Another great video!!!! Thanks for taking us along!!
That was a cool dad move, doing the helli tour with your son. Money means little compared to once in a life time experiences.
Well done!!! From all the dorky dads everywhere, we salute you! :-)
Cole, you have a pretty cool dad. Chris, you have a pretty cool son. Great seeing you two adventuring together. Thanks for sharing.

I'm becoming a fan of your channel... The order in which you make things is astounding.
Your son usually works really hard to not show his emotions. He just couldn’t hide them on this video. Looks like an amazing time.
