@@elixre0660 That's the right key for reverse thrust, unless it was changed somehow in your setting. Also keep in mind reverse thrust requires the engines to be runnings in order to work. So if you completely turned down the gas, then pressing the Delete key will do nothing.

That's reverse thrust for backing out. Reverse thrust for slowing planes has been universal.

the plane did not slow down because aside from activating reverse, you also need to increase throttle power, spoilers automatically activates after pressing the delete button. nevertheless, great tutorial! P.S. gear up after V2.
speed way too high should be 142KIAS, flaps not lowered, no flare, gera down too early usually when intercepting glide slope cause you'll commercially burn so much more fuel

U activated the reverse thrust but u did not increase throttle power and ur flaps aren’t lowered to 30 degrees too
Idle reverse is a thing and often used for noise
1) If the plane is not moving, you have to release the parking brakes with "Shift-B". I forgot to include it in the video.
2) In 7:36, there is a typo. "]" is to set the flaps to reduce speed, and "[" is to retract the flaps to increase speed. This explains why my plane wasn't slowing down at the end.
3) If your plane spawns in the ocean, go to "Location" on the top menu and select an airport to spawn at. For example, type "KSFO" for San Francisco Airport.
4) By the way, I used parking brakes at landing because this is a video game. Your plane will be destroyed if you use parking brakes at 170 knots.

@@flushedvibe You can just use up and down keys then. Check key bindings to see what was originally in those keys. Not sure if the keys were originally meant for something else.

Its been like 5 years since you posted this video but will ask anyway. I didn't see in the video flaps being set for takeoff, soon after takeoff you FF a bit, so didn't see if you retracted. Did you take off with 0 flaps ?

@@Jhmfz Thanks for the reply. I am trying to fly exactly what you shown here. After a very erratic climb out of jfk I couldn't get the ap to engage so started in the air and was able to get ap engaged got all the way to use the localizer, i was right there but all i saw was ocean tried to set route planer to get me back to jfk but program crashed, lol.
@@badBikerz The program doesn't have all the airports developed, so that's why you might not have seen your destination airport. I have a link in description where you can see the developed airports in the program. But even if they're developed, you might still have to download it from the website as an add-on though. They might not be in the main program download. Sounds like you're getting the hang of it though. Good luck!

Why you are pull the parking brake after touchdown it is very dangerous because if you are pull the parking brake your aircraft langing gears are accept the heat in this case your aircraft are run out of the runway as the result crashe

Throttle up and down should be "Page Up" and "Page Down". Check hotkey setting to see if they changed. If not, try restarting the game.

Thanks! Don't know the exact problem, but you should check your graphics card. The simulator does open in a new window when entering the game. You could also try waiting a bit after opening it. Sometimes the new window might looks glitched, but the game is actually loading in the background.

You have to press the "LOC" button in autopilot to set the localizer, and have enough distance from landing for the plane to automatically adjust. The instruction starts at 8:00 minutes in the video.

i can't turn on the autopiolt it's disengaging itself, i read about this problem and i've seen that you need to keep your controls to center to engage it, i tried that also and it didn't work, please help!
I get a lot of comments from people having the same autopilot issue--seems like a recurring problem. I haven't used FlightGear in a long time, so I am not sure what's going on. The best solution I think would be to ask your question on FlightGear's official website forum. Hope that helps.
i selected the only plane(the cessna) and i spawned as a UFO, And i spun around and im gonna restart and see where i went wrong
good god, is it easier to type all that instruction in than it is to talk. I can't even get the tutorial done, seeing as it doesn't want to teach you about the fuel tanks 😣

Would you recommend fs 2004 / fsx or flight gear for an older pc? How does the performance compare?
To me it seems strange that having such good physics the graphics of flight gear are pretty bad, as are fps from what I've seen online.
I have not played fs 2004 / fsx, so I am not sure. I had an i5-4690k and a GTX 960 2gb when I played in this video.

Maybe they updated it. But you will just have to find the buttons in the new autopilot panel. The functions are still the same.
Heya again bud, I don't know if you still play the game much, but if you do or still have it, i'd like you
to try something. It has to do with landing at KBDL rwy 6, just like in your video here. I think there is a glitch in the program somewhere because I have the exact same problem, every time at this airport. I used the autoland (APP) on the a/p and it seems to work well, except at KBDL. Everything seems right, lined up perfect with the runway, g/s nice, radiio freq set et al. So Land3 is on, it does the flare nice, but when rollout kicks in it, goes full right rudder, takes you right off the runway, and you end up at 060 deg.
I wonder if you can fly it and see if it happens to you.

yow when i press AP, it kept saying autopilot disengage, and nothing happened when i press lnav or vnav, its not following the flight plan, just kept doing turns, so frustrating, any idea why?
If it says autopilot disengage, then autopilot is not on, and would not follow the flight plan. Try to see why autopilot keeps turning off. Maybe something in the settings or maybe a program glitch.
Everytimes i engage the LNAV my plane start spinning and spinning... Can someone help me?
Most likely a glitch, but check route manager to see if it's due to a route that you had set.
Can you use a joystick?
just right after I turn on the autopilot it shuts off which means LNAV barely works for me. Help
Might be bug, as the game glitches from time to time. Try restarting game, or turn autopilot on and off a few times.

Hola. Aquí se está operando el Boeing. Pero yo me refiero al programa en sí. Este simulador , Flightgear, suele activar un códice malware en el disco si no se lo depura correctamente. Pero bueno, según las potencias de tu software y tus magisterios tu sabrás como reparártelas. El caso es que en el listado para comandar las unidades tiene en último renglón la de un platillo volador. Hace tiempo ya también había sugerido que por ello es muy bueno para la investigación ufológica. Al menos, para mi así lo es. Más la opción ¨lunfarda¨ también me notificaría, mirá más platillos voladores al parecer son las otras unidades¨.

787 has brakes on them but I don't know how to get them off, Ctrl b does spoilers for some reason
I googled and it seems you need to remove both parking brake and landing gear chokes for the 787 to move. So after doing "Shift-B" to release parking brakes, you have to go to "Ground Services" menu, and then uncheck all the boxes in "Landing Gear Chokes" section.
when i want to turn it on it gets disabled instead
I get a lot of comments saying the same thing. Not sure what the issue is, as I have not used the program in a long time. You should check on the official FlightGear website forum. You could try restarting the program or see if there is anything in the settings that might be causing the issue.

Try restarting the program, you might have accidentally clicked something that prevents autopilot from activating.

YOu have to change the radio frequency. It is the ATIS. you need to change it in the radio thing at the top, ca=hange com1 amd com2

Sorry but I am not sure. Try looking at flightgear official website and forum to see if they got the option for controllers.

I didn't understand the landing part with the localizer and the ctrl+g part, could u explain
I already forgot most of it lol. But localizer I think is to align the plane to runway, and ctrl-g is to let the plane smoothly decend (glide) towards the runway.

@@ishmammuttaqi768 Once you have lined up with the runway, when the plane is heading towards the airport in a straight line (no more turns) in the route manager.
if you mean full Flight you dont use autostart you Manual activate everything step by step. But anyway i leave a Like for Takeoff

The A/P button should be for both ON and OFF. Sometimes it glitches. Keep clicking it until it turns on.

What key do you press to take off?
You have to press and hold the "Page-Up" button. And if you haven't released the parking brake already, press "Ctrl-B" to release it.

I have the same type of graphics but the frame rate is like 2 or 3 frames per second even though I can play fsx with ultra hd graphics 😭😭😭😭any advices
lol, if you can play fsx in ultra then Flightgear shouldn't be a problem. I would say just keep trying to mess with the settings until it works. Maybe try the general graphics card settings as well, like Nvidia Control Panel or something.

The autopilot follows the route manager. Check the route manager to see if you can find the problem.

Go to the airport list and select an airport to respawn.
Open flightgear and go to settings. Then. click "automatic scenery downloads" :)
Route manager doesn't take the ID's
Make sure you are entering the correct airport ID code. You might have to click on the entry field a few times-- it's kind of glitchy.

There is a menu of items below the picture of the plane. The one to download is between "Repository" and "Forum".

Pero afortunadamente se puede recuperar, digamos, un poco más tarde el equipo, no es ese el contenido en fin de este comentar, sino que es una de las primeras opciones más cómodas que se ha presentado (según mi experimentar), quizás estoy ignorando otros, pero en mi experiencia este simulador es el que más ha dado tal comodidad al usuario de operar un platillo volador con las aerodinámicas digamos, humanas. Como que el simulador se comunicase con los aviones visitantes, del mundo exterior.

Very bad landing, feels like a 'game' as there's no realistic feeling, no flaring, the speed as well was a bit high without full flaps, I won't board it again i'll go with other airliners, sorry Mr. Captain you just lost a customer!
