  • In this video I review one of the most impressive budget AC DC Tig welders. This is a 200-amp welder that has a ton of features. They include pulse, fan on demand, foot peddle hookup, AC/DC and much more. The biggest perk is that it is under 1k. As for the performance, it is unmatched from any other budget machine and some high dollar machines. So if you guys want one of these amazing machines just click the links below and save yourself some cash and help out the channel. Also THE NEW MERCH is here so click the link also to my website to scoop up some RAD tshirts.

Where is Arc captain made? Arc captain products are primarily manufactured in China. To better serve American customers, they have established warehouses in the United States.

always remember that Nike makes air jordans in communist china so as to maximize their profits even though the cheap labor there paid to communist china is slave labor and the same with other companies such as Apple who uses the same slaves in china to maximize their profits. a lot of these cheep machines are coming out of places that have no constitution of the united states (that ensures peoples God given rights) hanging over their heads. [remember that] and too that communist in usa trying to destroy usa from within talk about race issues that they invent to be a weapon used against our freedoms in united states when there really isn't a problem at all but that's what Godless communist do and all the while not saying a word about the slave labor in China (which is what "they" want to turn usa into as well)(is a place where as JFK said in 1963 "there's a plan by secret groups in usa to enslave every man, woman and child.)

Not trying to be pesky I'll definitely will say that machine will out work your syncrowave. Take your torch off the blue and put it on the arcapton. If it is water-cooled torch get a eBay watercooler for it you'll be fine. I have a primeweld Tig 225x with Max cool 3000 watercooler and CK worldwide flex-loc torch makes it a perfect setup. Did a lot of shopping around for 2 yrs before I pulled the trigger had 2k to get a tig machine and found primeweld got my whole setup for under 2k been happy with my setup for 3 yrs now no disappointment.... 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

Thats a great idea on the adding the water cooler to the arccaptian!!

Hi AC, I thought you did fine with your presentation it was Great! I have 13 years of Tig experience behind me in Stainless, Aluminum, mild steel, and Hastloy. I talked to my Boss I now work for about buying a Tig unit. We decided to pick this one after we had tried the Hynade 200 AC/DC Tig. The Hynade one worked for 15 minutes, we thought it was just a single problem. We asked them to send us another but no the other would not even run on Tig. Sent them back. I haven't really had a chance to work with this unit yet, just set it up. turned it on to see if it worked. After two more weeks, we could not return it.
Well, the tig worked fine, but the stick part is fantastic, 6010 cooking, no hesitation, kick azz power. It has been too busy to check it all out. I come online to find out how to set up the foot pedal. Thanks to AC I now know! The pulse I have used many times in the past welding Hastloy. I used a Miller Sinscrowave 250 with a cooler. the settings I will have to work out myself.
IAM a B-pressure welder since 1983, I am old but not dead still learning. Trying to keep up with the Tech of the world. I worked for Global Thermoelectric Bassano Alberta Canada, Look it up. Exchanger Industries Alberta Canada.

Thanks for the review, don’t know why you are fooling with the pulse feature, your metal is plenty thick. Would rather see you lay it in with some heat like a champ using the pedal. If you are skilled enough you can just use the pedal on thinner metal. Seems like your welds need more heat to puddle out better. Why shoot a video using pulse which you are unfamiliar with for your first review of this machine. Curious to know if this machine has ac high frequency for aluminum as well as what frequency it can weld at? Can it do 120hz? Does it have a clean % adjustment to control the negative time vs the positive time of the square wave. More info needed before I would consider this machine.

Congrats on getting to that level of knowledge about welding machines and their applications but pulse is a very basic, 101 sort of information about welding. Before you review something, familiarize yourself with all of the products capabilities. Good job, keep learning!
    P.s
DONT USE FUSION WELDS FOR AN EXHAUST. Take each piece and bevel their welding face (where you join the pieces) ideally all the way to the bottom if you're confident in your skills filling gaps. Otherwise leave a tiny little lip on the weld face to allow the molten metal to settle into the gap flush with the inside. Depending on the thickness of the material you'll need multiple passes to lay a proper, strong weld. The first pass will just fill the tiny gap left after tacking (make a small tack to hold the material in place). Then you'll wanna (if you can) make the next pass both the filler and the cover pass. That way if you must you can grind off material to make the welds flush, and they will retain much of their strength. Fusion welds are about as effective as superglue.
