I was fortunate to live in Atlanta for all those years of dominance in the 90s. And I was even more fortunate to attend a lot of games at that stadium as well as Fulton Co. Great memories for life.
Very emotional. I lived and breathed braves from 1990 to 2000s. Glavine was our ace back then. Smoltz was getting better. Steve avery was our young and upcoming pitcher till he had injury. Bringing Maddox was the best thing the braves did. Fred mcgriff was our team captain. I also took chipper for granted. He was a stud. Man it’s emotional...awesome memories. I wonder if baseball will ever get that way again.
aca empezó todo con esta gente me hice fan de los bravos .. aunque perdimos varias series mundiales seguire hasta la muerte hoy volvemos despues de 22 años vamos bravos
Those teams had 5 hall of famers playing at the same time Maddux, smoltz, glavine, chipper, Mcgriff, and will probably be a 6th in a few years, Andruw!
All Turner Field Team(My Generation) 3B - Chipper Jones SS - Rafael Furcal 2B - Marcus Giles 1B - Adam LaRoche LF - Brian Jordan CF - Andruw Jones RF - Garry Sheffield C - Javy Lopez P - Greg Maddux, John Smoltz, Tom Glavine Manager - Bobby Cox

Im a Braves Fan, i even named my daughter, Atlanta, she is my oldest daughter, but boy with the pitching rotation we had, 14 division championships n only 1 World series?? I hate that!!!! Why???? So sad that only 1 World Series Crown!!! I love the Atlanta Braves!! But disappointed how we just lost to that Cardinals, very upsetting
Super emotional. And no, no single team will ever have 3 like that - for a decade mind you - ever again. Over 850 wins, and 150+ saves? Nevermind the post-season stuff. Smoltz alone was 13-1 with a 2.35 era in October. Yikes.
I just love Marcus Giles❤ and Adam LaRoche❤ and Gary Sheffield ❤ and Brian Jordan❤ and Javy Lopez❤ and. Raphael Furcal❤ and Andruw Jones,❤ and Bobby Cox❤ and best of all...The Famous Rotation❤. Just to see Eddie Perez, Javy and BMac lined up to catch their pitches is chilling.
not sure if you caught it at the beginning of the video, but this video is about the greatest Braves who played at Turner field. Everyone you mentioned either never played or played
The Very Last Game At The Place That Was At The TOP OF MY BUCKETLIST!!! I went to it and attended the game with my sister where Smoltz and Glavine faced each other. Braves vs. Mets. May 24th, 2007. 20th Birthday Present! Smoltz won and got his 200th W!!! Glad to see my team and they won against the team I hate alot. Even Yankee Fans there wanted the Mets to lose. My sister is one of them. 3 of the 4 in my family are Yankees fans. I'm the true Braves fan. 28 Years loyal. 1993-now.
Would have loved to seen Kelsie to represent left field or third base. Even Andes Galarraga for first base. When I think braves I don’t think Adam Laroche
can't have a ceremony commemorating a field with a player that never played on it as a Brave. Else you might as well invite the rest of the all time greats.
He did the final ceremonial pitch at Turner Field and removed home plate from it's original spot and was taken to SunTrust Park to deliver home plate to the new ballpark via police escort
Well… if this was our “ hall of fame” team for the turner field era, this is exactly why we never won a World Series there… based on these players alone, we had holes at 1st, 2nd, short, left and right field. That’s not gonna get any rings.
This is a video honoring the best players to play at Turner Field as a Brave. The only one you listed that was even a member of the Braves in 1996 was David Justice and even then, he was only there until the end of the 1996 season. The ones they picked played more than one year at Turner Field. Also, you honestly think Deion Sanders should have been picked over Andruw Jones?! Jones won ten Gold Glove awards and was a five time all-star. Sanders didn't win anything like that during his MLB career.
20 years old and this place closes for a new ballpark in a horrible area where the tax payers of ga have to pay for 2 new places just because fans dont support the teams. ITS A JOKE. just wait 2-3 years and sun trust will be half empty on weeknights because there are no fans in atlanta
They moved because the city of Atlanta wasn't willing to help them pay for renovations at Turner Field or clean up the area around it either. SunTrust Park is actually a great park and much more usable as a baseball park as it was built to be a baseball park unlike Turner Field.
Jason Kelley This was before the game started, so people weren't in their seats yet. A friend of mine went and she said there was standing room only during the actual game.
lol cuz you have a new stadium. once you guys suck, ur seats will empty asf. padres get atleast 27,000 a game despite the fact we suck. padres fans are loyal. btw padrse have the best farm system now. :)
8:30 is such a moment to behold. Chills to see them walk together like that.

Really i love this player's and braves!! From korea 🇰🇷 💕
Baseball was so much fun back then great men and wow would I love to play a round of golf with those 3 pitchers
Goosebumps the entire video. So awesome growing up as an 80's baby and a Braves fan. What a glorious team. Just wish I had seen Fred.

No team will ever have a better pitching rotation than the three horseman.
Right now It's Teheran,Folty, McCarthy
BravesChopOñ not McCarthy 😂😂
Big baller that was 1 month ago😂😂 think again
Why does everybody forget the fourth horseman Steve Avery.
Steve Avery was no slouch. Too bad he didn't pitch all that long.
Bobby looks so proud when they call players names.
damn i gotta say when them 3 came out, chills went up and down my arms
My childhood in 11 minutes. 🥺

Yep. We'll never see all these guys in the same place at the same time again. Savoring every second of this 6 year old video...
Yes Andrew jones was my favorite player
This was a moving video....I'm miss my old braves... CHOP ON
Me also .
Well say hello to our resurgence. Let’s look toward the future and get this W! Chop on
@@g.b.3091 the chop is racist. Ban it
The Atlanta Braves I knew. Especially the 3 guys in the mound.
if anyone was wondering: the song at the beginning was the song "Summon the heroes" from the 1996 olympics by John Williams
Mi infancia beisbolera empezo viendo a este gran equipo Bravos de Atlanta 👍⚾️
Great to see javy Lopez he was one of the best catchers in the 90s never forget he picked off manny Ramirez in the 95 World Series 🔥🔥
He looks like he doesn't age at all.
My ❤️ best video, gonna miss you Turner Field.

For ever Atlanta Braves yeeeeeesss is life forever
Seeing Maddux, smoltz and glavine come out was awesome! Never see that pitching excellence together again! Braves forever!
I still cannot comprehend how the 1996 and 1997 teams did not win the word series. 😭

Should have Avery in there as well

@@uga2010 correct. He had a season ending shoulder injury in May 1996, his last as a Brave and the last season at Fulton County stadium.

I would LOVE to see that team play together just one more time in their prime. Goosebumps even thinking about it.

Warning: You will have to endure 4 different Geico ads if you watch the entire video. 😥
Aaahhhhh the memories…😍

Wheres Fred McGriff?
And where's Mark Lemke?

What about Jeff.
Lemke, Crime Dog and Blauser didnt play much at Turner Field. Same with Justice.
So many tailgating shenanigans.
I'll always miss The Ted.
well they got the picthers right.
Because Chipper, Javy, and Andruw are chopped liver, right?
No Avery
remember this is the greatest Braves players *to play as a Brave at Turner field* not all-time Braves or those that played during the 90s rise.
Legends
Never figured out why/how Braves did not win 96/97/98 WS with the rocking pitching crews...
After all this time Maddux still won't pitch to Javy 😂
I came to the comment section just to look for this comment hahahahahaha
lindo video... lo merecen totalmente.

only played 1 year in that stadium.

That was a great ballpark. But there's too much money to be made in switching ballparks every twenty years.
Marcus Giles? Adam LaRoche? Who?
