No problem, Sir! My apologies if I miss some. I'm about 75% of the way to getting one of the 59 Epiphones. I tried one a while back in a store and very much liked it.@@650thunderbird
All good mate. They're not bad value, considering you get the case, Gibson pickups, long tenon etc. At my limit, price wise, for an Epiphone. Imagine $2,500AUD for an Epi SG with Epi pups (Bonamassa SG).
I Owned both, 2 of each. The Epiphone 59 plays better, feels better, sounds better more like a Gibson. The Harley Bentons I owned sounded more congested, didnt play as comfortable, and never sounded as good sustain, tone, gain, H.B. sounded less Gibsony. I changed pickups 3x, and the H.B. still had a nongibsony tone. H.B. was a fine guitar, but it always sounded like it's own instrument, like 33% Gibsony, more it's own voice, and even after setting it up, H.B. still had a rougher feel on the frets and neck and action. I sold both H.B.s, but I still kept and play my 59 Epiphones!
Get a pair of pickups like Duncan 59 in the neck and JB in the bridge it would be a different story.
Both sounded fairly similar but the Epi was a lot brighter, esp the neck pick up! \m/
👍🏻👍🏻
Excellent job on the consistant strumming & chords !! Quite honestly I didnt hear the $600+ diffrence much between the 2 you played there.
Thanks! Me either, Tezza.
Might WANT to take the cotton wool OUT of your ears!

Nice vid, now about playability, is the price different worth it?
Hi, if you only care about playability, no.
👍👍
Thanks for stopping by, Dunsy!
