THANK YOU! I have a set of headlights from the Mercedes sprinter van and they are enormous. I reused the box the headlights came in, set my gun to 350c for 10 mins or so on max fan and they came apart easily, the box was wet and full of holes too. Great hack!
I need help with dis 12 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Spec-D Tuning Black Projector Headlights with LED Sequential Light Bar I didn’t seal one and now one LED light bar don’t work but i don’t if that could be fix
Bro after installing bi led projector lens we have to close headlight cover or not ? If we close it will burn out or not? There’s no space for passing cooling fans air
Hello from Spain. You do not used for mount parts, (glass shield and estructure) a black silicone? I think the silicone / sealant for car glass mounting may be the best.
@@jamesolelo4406 I think I was trying to ask if the paint would come off the reflectors easily or if it would last a while. I asked this before I got my car lol.
You *can* paint them but you shouldn't unless you have a projector in them. Painting them will kill your light output otherwise because the light won't be able to reflect anymore.
Hello, do u do this to make money?, because I have 2 headlights that needs exactly what u are doing, I have a 2008 BMW 528i, if so, I will gladly send them to u, please let me know.
@@dappergenesis822 I heard some people just heat the old stuff back up and then put the lenses in the sealer when it's hot. Im going to see if it works tomorrow!
@@seths9968 yeah a lot of people do that. I just bought some extra to be sure that it was sealed. I might try to do it all over again. Or buy other ones

@@E550benz okay thanks for your information
How do I put them back together after
2yo comment but push them mostly back together, reheat them just like the first time then push fully together and put screws etc back
Should I remove all those metal modules on the headlight before doing this?
Great video, thanks for sharing. 👍

Any issues with condensation in them after?
use silicone sealant on the perimeter edges after you're done.
Awesome!
Did you use first or second setting on heatgun?
hey man im from sauga where you from? we should link up and cruise sometime
Would this ruin tints on headlights?
Stash on point bro !!
that is awsome bro👍🏻
I had to heat mine using the same method to open them. Idk why they took so long.. but it did not come out easily. Took me 3 hours just to open 1
I find parking in the middle of the Sahara Desert works great
Anything will peel apart
Can you paint the reflectors and the chrome parts? I live in sc and we don’t do inspections here.
If there's no inspection why can't you paint them?

@@Artistikk I figured it out now but thanks. I was talking about the orange reflectors on the side of the headlight.
I put mine in the oven on 175 and it melted my lenses, gotta but new ones 😂😢
How long did you had em in for

U got a license for those guns?
1.31 looks like the headlights had been opened before.
wow thanks but i feel like if the heat gun points at cardboard it would start a fire lol
Hriddhi Debnath lol
Ahh my headlights have condensation pretty bad. I own a 2013 focus, should it be that easy too?
@@E550benz I have no idea bro its just chunky black glue looking stuff, hopfully it will be as easy
I would be careful. Heat guns typically do 300-600°C !!!
Yeah I tried it but it actually doesn’t unless you leave it for an hr i tried it and it comes out warm
How did you reseal it?
You can buy some resealing stuff on ebay or amazon. Its like a long roll of tacky stuff. It is difficult to do.
