This doesn't sound like sadness, grief or pain. This sounds like something deeper that I've never felt before... Like your soul being crushed. Or the end, nothing.
What's truly incredible is that this is made by the same guy who does Clown Core and the same guy who does 'I'm Tight' and the same guy who does 'Things' and the same guy who does 'Crash the Car' ... the sheer range of expression is amazing and beautiful.
don't forget the mega super classic "The Government Knows" hehe Louis was destined to do great things since he was a kid, he put the work in and this album is just really great
Truly phenomenal and hauntingly beautiful. I felt the pain in this. Wishing you the best, you're one of my biggest inspirations and a true gift to the world. Get well soon ❤🩹
Closed eyes with headphones on: This feels like a sonic journey through immense suffering. The cellos repeat these thick, dark ostinatos that seems to get infinitely more foreboding like a Shepard scale of trauma. The higher strings pelt you in waves of raw emotion in a way that somehow disrupted my flow of breath. Finally, Louis' lone voice leading then abandoning the string section only to beckon them back to a thundering crescendo is just viscerally moving. A true magnum opus. I hope Louis is better soon.
The structure reminds me of Gorecki’s Symphony of Sorrowful songs. This new album is stunning in every way. The collision of styles, genres and the integration of the orchestra is solid. While academia still spits out recycled innovation from the late 20th century, Louis Cole has found the true voice of the 21st century for orchestral writing.
This is Ethereal. This is Otherworldly. I just see Space and the creation of the Earth akd seas and clouds and everything with song. Louis, you wonderful beautiful odd and talented bastard. My God, this is so damn beautiful 😢❤
What an absolutely beautiful piece of music. Thank you, thank you master Cole. I hope you are well and able to recover soon! Take good care. Thank you for everything again
Flew to Germany to see this live and I cried then. Lying in bed listening again and I cried again. This was such an overwhelming and emotional experience
It is a stunningly beautiful song that moves me on a deep emotional level. No hurry, take your time. I hope you get better... ルイス、お大事に。 From someone who has been in pain since losing a loved one and is being saved by your music.
I wasn't expecting to cry so much tonight but here I am. I noticed the new videos drop tonight and this one drew my attention first because the thumbnail reminded me of Louis' Night video, that I bonded over with someone I've now lost, and I wasn't ready for how right I was. This (amazingly done) composition feels like a postlude to Night to me and gives me this feeling of losing grasp of hope and what once was. Makes me think of how she's gone now and never coming back. Louis Cole's music has always helped me realize what I'm truly feeling in such profound ways, and I'll always be a fan of his for that.
If you drive at night in the bush in Australia, you will hit a wallaby. Then you will have to drive the rest of the way home with this song playing in your head, while you reflect on what you've done.
I saw Louis Cole live at August Hall in San Francisco in October 2022. At that show he said there was new Knower coming and symphonic too. He said to be patient. The patience has paid off. Thanks for following thru Louis.
@@edburns00 I was there! And should have been there tonight in LA. Let’s all make sure we are buying the records and supporting him however we can. It can’t be easy working so hard on all these different projects from the symphony to the tours and his collaborations with dolphin hyper space and many others, and to have to cancel or postpone after working so hard. Just organizing the schedule must be insane. So lets continue to support him and these amazing artists they deserves it.

Legitimately transcendant in those last few minutes. I stopped feeling my body and all I was experiencing was the flow of the music. I'm finding it difficult to return to myself to even type out this comment. Astounding work.
thank you for creating more orchestral pieces louis cole. ive been wishing it since hearing the opener to quality over opinion. thank you for these beautiful soundscapes
Driving through the night only with your car light, nothing in front of you, nothing behind you, only the way that keeps creating itself, cars pass beside you and never come back, some other aside you till crossing the line while you keep driving and creating the way, nothing in front of you, nothing on the back, vanishing in darkness, the only way is created by your car light.
