LH427: Full flight - From the gate in Philadelphia to the final apron position in Frankfurt

- Full flight movie of Lufthansa flight LH427 from Philadelphia to Frankfurt. Flight is operated by Airbus A340-300 registrated D-AIGM, named after the city of "Görtlitz". Golf Mike is equipped with three service classes, but Lufthansa only sells Business and Economy to/from Philadelphia, so some of the (frequent flyer) passengers had to sit in First Class :-) Video is taped from Seat 2A. I captured the departure procedure on the ground and departure from Philadelphia right over the Delaware river. See us flying towards the north and arriving in Germany with a nice flight path over Ireland, England and Belgium. As we approach Frankfurt we land parallel with Singapore Airline` s A380 from New York JFK. We are landing on the new northern runway and have a nice sight over the airport while descending. After landing we are taxiing to an apron position from where busses brought us to the airport building. Enjoy!

This year, I am taking Lufthansa from Philadelphia to Krakow, with a 5 hour layover in Frankfort. I've flown many times on Air France (when they still served PHL) and American Airlines, but this will be my first flight on Lufthansa. The A340 is definitely my favorite plane in the skies!!!!!

Great video ! You can really tell how fast these planes fly at 15:50 in video, the way it's passing through the clouds. There are other places in the video you can tell also, but this is the first place in the video where it really stood out for me. Thanks for such a great video ! With no doubt, one of the best videos I ever saw of aircrafts. Congratulations and also thank you :). I really want to fly on an AirBus A340, but unfortunately, here in Brazil(my country) our national flights, inside Brazil, only use AirBus A320 and Boeing 737-800 :(.

Auf dem PHL-Flug verkauft Lufthansa keine F-Tickets, muss aber manchmal ein Flugzeug einsetzen, in dem die F eingebaut ist - LH hat 6 A340-300 in einer Zweiklassenkonfiguration, die aber nicht immer so optimal eingesetzt werden... Deshalb saß ich hier F, habe aber Buisness gebucht. Auf solchen Flügen setzt die Lufthansa die Statuskunden bevorzugt auf die Sitze der First Class. An dem Tag waren wir alles HON und SEN in der First...

Look here in the video at [9:30] the many aircrafts waiting for their take- off. Seems that this Philiadelphia airport is one of thge biggest airports in the United States.
the city the plane is named after is GÖRLITZ, a small city in east saxony, before ww2 in lower Silesia. Still the main part is German but the eastern part is occupied by the Polish.

I have not been to Frankfurt airport before; why do you have to take a bus to the main terminal? Is it due to landing on the north runway or just overcrowding? Regardless of that, your video was well done and it was neat to see that "race" at the end between your 340 and that 380 to your left!

Aw man. There was a BA 777-200 parked next to this plane. Then as it's pushed out of gate and stops there are US Airways parked across the tarmac. All gone now. Very sad....

CFM engines are super but these engines you have on a Boeing 737 too only the form and the type of CMF is a different

Gorlitz too as well as Frankfurt:-).It reminds me of the most wonderful time in my life.I don't know much about flying but one thing I know for sure pilots are the most desirable and sexiest men alive.Yet, I also find planes sexy even if probably they can't be described in this way:-)All the best for you.
