Black Man Talks To The Boy Who Robbed His Son | Offers Words Of Wisdom, Advise And Forgiveness

  • Why is the media not talking about this? This is the best video I’ve seen in recent times hands down, the way Winston handled this situation speaks to many of us in the Black community and is a lesson that many from other communities can also take note of and take on board.
In my opinion, he handled this situation well and gave a lot of grace and wisdom to the situation. The world can learn from how he handled this situation and the leaders of this country could learn from it also. I’ve personally learnt and Winston handled this situation how a number of Black parents would want to handle it as we also know about the healing that needs to take place because of the years of trauma, social conditioning and systemic racism that has put a few people in a situation where they act out in this way. Again, the majority of Black people living in the UK are not thugs or criminals but that somehow seems to be one of our mainstream prevailing narratives. This is not a shock to me, what Winston did, it’s within many of us, but seeing it in this way is defiantly encouraging and I hope his words and action goes on to inspire change and re energies change in this area as it has for me.
On the one hand, Lord knows I want to do more in many areas of our life, how we support and grow the Black community is one of major importance to me. As I’ve said many times, I have money, personally that I’m looking to put into tangible and collective efforts to co-ordinate and role out this change in a way that is sustainable both financially and by way of it’s impact. Personally, I’d like to sit down with everyone in this video and see how I can be of support to everyone in it. Winston runs his own business for underfloor heating, who in my network is in need of his service? Check him out, go through the appropriate vetting process to make your decision and use his service where needed. I personally always feel better putting my money down with a company who I know there people are good people. Let’s get more people aware of Winston and his business ( avenueheating?i...) He’s also the chairman of Southside Young Leaders Academy, I’ve not had the time to look into this properly, but I’d like the opportunity to meet with Winston and hear more about it, on first glance it looks like they’re doing amazing work, anyone who can support that within my network hit up Winston / www.syla.org.uk/. The boy who was robbed, what does he want to do with his life / what is he passionate about, how can we mobilise around him at this time and support that. The boy who took the bag and returned it, what are some of the things he is facing, living in a home can’t be easy, I know all too well from people I grew up around who also moved from one center to another / home to another. The system could be better, what are his aspirations, what are the things blocking him currently, how can we mobilise around him, support him and use this as an example to unlock potential, pathways and greatness in many other people who are being failed by the system and are equally making negative life decisions.
You know what I’ve been on since 56 Black Men. I’m still here for this conversation, but Rome was not built in a day, and was not built by 1 person, it will take all of us or as many of us that are willing to put EGO aside, find THE RIGHT leader(s), put up the MONEY needed to finance the situation and actually see the change. Failing this, I’ll continue doing what I’ve been doing behind the scenes with people individually in various communities and with people across various spheres of influence. It’s time we priorities our collective strength as oppose to individual glory, but I won’t be the first person to say something like this across the many decades people have been fighting for equity toward the Black community.
Long and short, support this video, share it with your people / networks, what Winston has done should be seen far and wide and should be on the front of news papers across the country.

If there were more people like this man in towns and cities across the UK, we'd heal so many of the problems the government quite frankly doesn't care about - regardless of political affiliation, they're all corrupt. This would be a program worth funding, but again, politicians are narcissists so this won't happen. Respect to this man.

His old man must have seen a bit in his day and has obviously understood the madness in road. The way he's dealt with this situation is commendable and inspiring. I hope the perpetrator also evolves from this situation to being a better person and chasing his dreams than living a nightmare.

Absolutely commend this father for several reasons. First , he’s schooling both children, secondly he’s showing composure as it must have been difficult not to retaliate and thirdly and most importantly he’s a great role model.
We need more of this please. The society need help.

What a great father and a decent member in society....this reminds me of this black guy in America in his late 20s/ early 30s who stood in front of a latino looking female Judge for theft or some other type of stupid charge. The Judge recognised him as they used to be mates back in their school days, and when she reminded him of who she was he cried like a baby (made me shed a tear too)...he kept rubbing his head and saying "Oh my God" over and over, full of regret and embarrassment while his old mate from school reminisced about how helpful, friendly, popular and charming he was back in their school days.
Many lessons can be learned from that
Times have changed people, a reign has come to an end. Secrets are being revealed to all and times are rife. Love one another now as tomorrow is promised to no-one. The signs are all around and God is real, Revelation speaks. Just a reminder to all who's read this far, Peace to you and yours 🙏🏽💗
